Black Fox: when is the second film coming? - We totally need it. And not just for Mia/Lily. There is that totally-not-Lex-Luthor guy that needs an @$$-whooping.
- Hataage! Kemono Michi: it was ...awkward. Like really awkward for me. Yet it is not terrible enough to drop on spot. Still very much a subject to the 3 episodes rule.
- Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen: this one looks good and the first episode was quite WAFF-y.
- Choujin Koukousei-tachi wa Isekai demo Yoyuu de Ikinuku you desu!: this is an isekai, alright. Might stick around for a bit for engineer and
ninjajournalist girls - they are cute - but there isn't much else good about this series. 3 episodes rule, I guess. - Azur Lane: this might turn out to be an entertaining trainwreck.
- Granblue Fantasy season 2: I'm not sure I like the new artstyle. It's not terrible, but it is noticeably different from season 1. The first episode looked like a random sidequest, so there isn't much to say about it...
Ascendance of a Bookworm: This series is only 13 episodes, right? I wonder how far they can get in that time. I guess the intro would imply her getting to the blue robed priestess section of the story given her clothing and the next episode thing at the end mentioning that he's the high priest.
I kind of wish her mom and sister were drawn to be dirtier so we could see the difference when they're cleaned up. But they seem to be cutting out the 'My family and I are all disgustingly filthy since we never bathe' angle so I can see why they'd deemphasize that. It made her look like a jerk to complain about it.
The style of the story seems just a little odd. The little chibi sections come across as weird to me because I read it as text only and never checked out the manga. And Maine's VA seems well suited to her normal speaking voice but the chibi sections don't sound... enthusiastic? Silly? enough.
Anyway overall this seems like a pretty faithful adaptation, so I suppose I'll keep up with it despite a few minor quibbles.
Mairimashita! Iruma-kun
Not as funny as in the manga. guess some joke just can't translate well from page to animation. Still pretty good. However it does over foreshadow stuff compare to the manga which i don't think is necessary. just let the viewers enjoy the story and find out stuff. Also the i gonna kill who ever write that OP.

E.T technically is a Isekai movieBlackfox! I want to say "yes, more of this!" but… that's kinda the problem? It was very clearly designed to be a series, not a film (I don't think it's a coincidence that the first act is exactly 23 minutes long), and as a result a lot of elements feel underdevelopped − most of all Melissa being an artificial human and how Lily met with her. The visual style also has a very "A-1 picturesque" look that's more fitting for a series.
But ignoring that, it really was a lot of fun. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a pilot movie for a future show (because it sure feels like one).
Wasn't sure what to expect from In Another World Without My Books, but so far it seems pretty good. An isekai fantasy that isn't about an everyday dude who wishes life was more like a video game shouldn't be a rare thing, but it is. Maybe this will fill the hole left by the upcoming loliconification
of Average Abilities.
Nothing else looks interesting yet. Blackfox is great but it's already over, unless they secretly made a sequel. Kinda just a pile of mobile game anime, fanservice vehicles, and/or comedy for people with very different brains.
Iruma: Isn't working for me. The pacing is just too slow; the jokes don't land like they should
Babylonia: I do know enough about Fate/GO to follow what's going on, but it's definitely intended for actual players. Has some good animation in the fight scenes, but is surprisingly ugly the rest of the time. Direction's not great, either. I'll give it another episode, but I'm underwhelmed so far
Tokunana: Middling crime thriller. Pays lip service to having fantasy elements. MC is annoying, but at least it has style. Might give another episode
Babylon: A bit rough. Sometimes it's entertainingly crazy, but other times it tries to act like a serious cop show and just gets dull for a while. We'll see how I'm doing in three weeks, I guess

Expanding my first impressions so far:
Ahiru no Sora: Everyone is an asshole, from the semi-likable, put still a peeping tom main character, to the rest of assholes on teh team. I'm sure the story will make all of them less assholish by the character-building power of team sports, but why do I want to put up with this for 52 episodes?. Verdict: Dropped.
Hataage! Kemono Michi: The Fantasy Adventures of a Horny, Bisexual, Furry Wrestler. So far it's funny, and I'll keep watching. verdict: 3-episode rule
Ascendance of a Bookworm: It's an isekai with no game stats, no demon to slay, no violence at all, and an endearing, determined female protagonist. It's an isekai miracle! Verdict: Watching
After School Dice Club: I'm all on board for the cool games. Though was that one girl running around commando ALL DAY? Brave in that miniskirt. Verdict: Watching for now
Ore Suki: Oh god this is horrible. I hate ALL of these people. The two insensitive and manipulative girls, the incel main character (why the hell do you think you DESERVE a relationship with either girl, jackass?), and the creepy stalker in glasses. Dropped like a hot potato!
Azur Lane: I dabbled in the game, but never memorized all teh characters so I was lost in all the cameos. But hey, the art is cool, and I know the history they're working from. The amount of fanservice from underage-appearing destroyers could get squicky. Verdict: 3 episode rule
CHOYOYU!: High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World!: Dull as Dishwater. Nothing is actually going to challenge the ever-perfect 7 protagonists. Bored. Verdict: Dropped
Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy: Cute Chuuni that hints at it not being JUST delusional. Cute so far. Verdict: Watching unless it crashes.
Special Crime Investigation Unit - Special 7: So far its a police procedural with some sort of overarching villian called "The Nine". Waiting for plot developments. Verdict: 3-Episode Rule
F/GO: Babylonia: Very much for players of teh game. Luckily, I am a player of the game. Verdict: Watching
Black Fox: Was fun and very anime-style superhero. Too Bad its done for now. Verdict: Complete
Iruma-Kun: Cute and mostly harmless. might be a bit kiddie. Verdict: 3 Episode Rule
Africa no Salaryman (TV): This was .... bad. Managed to avoid racial stereotypes, but crashes headfirst into misogyny, sexual harassment as "humor", and bad animation. Verdict: Dropped
Null Peta: Cute as a button, but only 5 minute episodes: Verdict: Will binge for an hour when it's over.

Africa no Salaryman: The WTFDIJW anime of this season. It was… disturbing. It's probably partly because of the bad CG and, well, bad 2D, but even the humor was very cringey. Then again, this first episode was focused on the most unlikeable character of the trio (who has the voice of Shimada and Zen'itsu to make it worse). I'll give it another episode, maybe it'll be better if it focuses on the other two. At least the VAs are having fun.
Heikinchi: How ironic that the show itself is completely average.
Nothing impressive, but nothing horrible either. The "twist" that the heroine has "average power" between the weakest and the most powerful creature of their world − so far beyond human power was pretty amusing I admit, but the constant meta humor could get old very quickly.
…Man this season's start has been lukewarm. My most anticipated shows are still to come though.
OK. Let's write some impressions here in the watching order.
Shinchou Yuusha: it was ebntertaining. MC is a jerk but heroine is funny and premise is notr bad. If they have more to dfeliver — good. Will give it a few eps.
Ore wo Suki nano wa Omae dake ka yo: I like the twist and gweneral mokery of the harem tropes. Also, I am a fan of Haruka Tomatsu's voice acting. But it can got in generic romcom tropes fasst as a lot of series before it. Will give it a few eps.
Azur Lane: I have not played the game, but I like any take mecha-musume in general. And it was better than Kan Colle anime for me. Will give it a few eps.
Null Peta: It wasn't bad and it's just 6 minutes but I already have to many series in PTW. Dropped.
Honzuki no Gekokujou: It's quite original isekai. May get boring fast but I am a So L fan in general so I might like it. Will give it a few eps.
Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia: For veteran FGO player it had everything I wanted and a bit more. So I'll be watching, of course.
Kono Oto Tomare! 2: They should have ended S1 with this episode, but who cares, it was really good. To bad this series is a bit more than studio can handle, but I am fine with it. So I'll be watching, of course.
Tokunana : Reminded me of Hamatora a lot. I dropped S1 buty my feriends say S2 is way better. Will give it a few eps.
Granblue Fantasy The Animation 2: I liked S1 artstyle more. Otherwise its all the same. I have finished S1 so might finis S2 too. Will give it a few eps.
Fairy Gone 2: I am in minority here, but I relly likede the first season. Starting from ther flasback may be odd, but I'm fine with it. So I'll be watching, of course.
Black Fox: Yup, it was your typical superhero rising movie in the anime form. Very cliche but entrertaining. I do not mind seein a sequel or two.
Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle: Action sci-fi seriers that is not a pure mecha are rare nowerdays. And Gonzo went all our with produiction. I just hope thwey can hold whe whole 2-cour. So I'll be watching, of course, unless it goes bad.

Thread for Ascendance of a Bookworm/Honzuki no Gekokujou.
I'd prefer it be kept spoiler free if there are fans of the original material.
Damn, BLACKFOX was great, if a bit rushed. I hope it gets a series, or at least a sequel.
Oh God! Natural light!Granblue would honestly benefit more from doing specific major stories like FGO is doing for Babylonia and Camelot Movies.
All the lore from events and the like don't even become relevant until after the stories first major arc. Of which we've still got quite a ways to go.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Granblue would also benefit from giving them a bit of actually presence in the story so that it actually feels like they matter (not like I like everything about Guda). The only thing I've done that has given me this feeling is between frost and flame. Its quite a pity the anime isn't two cour so they could at least end on a stronger arc
Speaking of fate/grand order I have watched the first episode 3 times now. The clumsiness of the CG became a bit more obvious by the 3rd time but everything else also felt much better. The op was fun to listen to but I really want those visuals

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysOkay, last few days:
Kandagawa Jet Girls: Ugly, boring, and has no grasp of how to properly integrate fanservice
Code reunion: Dumb, the animation's sub-par, and it's over-the-top enough that I rather enjoyed it
Beastars: Really impressive. Mostly. It's a good story with some really striking direction, but said direction plays up the dramatic elements enough that it's almost silly
GBDR: Actually pretty good? My biggest issue is that there's a bunch of callbacks to the previous series, which I didn't watch
No Guns Life: ...It's not bad, but I don't really like it. They played up the noir-ish aspects of the manga, which I just find it hard to engage with
Assassins Pride: Pretty damn chuuni, but very well made, and has a reasonably interesting setup. I kinda wonder about the girls' designs, though
So the season isn't actually turning out bad, just really back-loaded

My choices on the shows I've seen so far out of my list last page:
Ahiru no Sora: Everyone is an asshole, from the semi-likable, put still a peeping tom main character, to the rest of assholes on teh team. I'm sure the story will make all of them less assholish by the character-building power of team sports, but why do I want to put up with this for 52 episodes?. Verdict: Dropped.
Hataage! Kemono Michi: The Fantasy Adventures of a Horny, Bisexual, Furry Wrestler. So far it's funny, and I'll keep watching. verdict: 3-episode rule
Ascendance of a Bookworm: Its an isekai with no game stats, no demon to slay, no violence at all, and an endearing, determined female protagonist. It's an isekai miracle! Verdict: Will Watch
After School Dice Club: I'm all on board for the cool games. Though was that one girl running around commando ALL DAY? Brave in that miniskirt.
Ore Suki: Oh god this is horrible. I hate ALL of these people. The two insensitive and manipulative girls, the incel main character (why the hell do you think you DESERVE a relationship with either girl, jackass?), and the creepy stalker in glasses. Dropped like a hot potato!
