Giant robots are always good.
That's all I was here for, and I didn't ask for more, so Rob is satisfied.
One Strip! One Strip!Apex Hulk and his Gamma Beasts is pretty much the teaser shown at the end of Shin Godzilla where there were multiple humanlike Godzillas about to bud out of Shin Godzilla's tail before he got flash frozen. Too bad the rest of the episode wasn't animated the same way as the cartoon in the beginning. Cartoon Tony rocked the Dr Nambu look.
Set! Avenge! "Henshin." Black General! Bujin Sword! Ready, Fight!Just watched the second episode, I loved it. I think it's one of the best episodes in the entire series. Curious premise, good voice acting, the jokes land well and I dig all the pokes at the fourth wall. And all four main characters (Agatha, Kingo, Howard, Jarvis) are great.
By the way, lorewise, this episode pretty much clears it up — Celestials are not multiversal, they can have variants (like Tiamut) and are tied to their universes. The Watcher is well above them in terms of power.
Quantum Realm is not multiversal as well. I wonder if Dormammu and his Dark Dimension are singular.
Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. Is it just me, or does Mega-Hulk kinda looks like Devil Hulk looks in Banner's mind space?
In the comics Sam also has a soft spot for Hulk because he was friends with Sam's nephew Jim Wilson.
He's supposed to be, but it might be different in MCU.

Wasn't a fan of ep 2. Agathas's Heel–Face Turn came out of nowhere even given the limited runtime.
Well, Strange Supreme did defeat a different version of Dormammu. The Quantum Realm, I'm not so sure about, given Zombie Janet is a thing. Could be multiversal, or it could just be two different variants of Janet were in the Quantum Realm at the same time.
Anyways, I liked this episode. Was fun seeing everyone go all in on 40s glamor. Not my favorite episode, but considering it's supposed to be a fun episode, I can't complain. Also, love Howard Stark's energy.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Did they have cocaine in the 40s? Maybe he needed it with how stressful the shoot was.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."
x4 Oh, I forgot about that. So who is left operating on the Multiversal level in the MCU? Only Loki, the TVA, the Council of Kangs (rip) and the Watchers? I really hope we learn more about it in the grand finale of What If.
They confirmed it at the end of Loki season 2, when Mobius and B-15 discuss the report on the events of Quantumania. There is a separate Quantum Realm "adjacent" to each universe.

Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous.I actually don't remember the events of Wakanda forever very well.
Really REALLY enjoyed today's Golden Era Hollywood episode. My favourite What Ifs are definitely the ones we're two different casts of characters are shoved together, much more so than the genre mash up ones like we got yesterday.
It does feel like the logical endpoint of Agatha's MO, and she certainly suits being a diva. Kingo was also a lot of fun and I truly do believe that he wouldn't make a big fuss about giving up his purpose once he learns the details of it. Him appealing to Agatha's vanity and it working also feels true to me, even if it had to happen very fast.
Cool seeing Arashim actually doing something.
All the talk about a sequel feels bitter sweet given that The Eternals and What If are definitely not getting more installments in the foreseeable future after this season.
Howard is definitely on cocaine.
I can buy that.
But Damn. Is this version of Agatha the first person to throw hands with a damned Celestial and win? Cause I don't think anyone's ever gotten in a straight up fist fight with one of them, but even I've never seen every comic that's had them in it.
It also makes a lot of sense that the Eternals would know about her, since they likely predate her. I'm shocked she was able to take most of them out before hand though.
One Strip! One Strip!Off-screening is the most powerful combat technique. Just ask Squirrel Girl
Anyway. In terms of fighting Celestials, Knull decapitated one in the comics. I don’t know if that counts, it’s not strictly punching.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt borders on Flanderization, but his energy is just too infectious! I love just how different Dominic Cooper is as Howard compared to John Slattery. They're both great, and it's fun trying to bridge their performances mentally.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."The whole episode may be the most insane thing Marvel has ever put out and yes I know Deadpool 3 was earlier this year.
It makes me wish these episodes were longer. I do wish that about most of these episodes but this could have been a whole 90 minute movie.
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.I find Agatha's actions believable. Slightly more than Kingo's. I know she's a villain but she's basically in "why be a villain when you're already winning" position. She got a good deal without taking over or destroying the world. Meanwhile, Kingo was one guy who decided to sit out rebelling against Celestials in the movie. So now he got a promotion and...end up turning on them? I guess he was missing 3-movie deal in the film. I know to many this is Author's Saving Throw because they didn't like Kingo just leaving for the finale, especially when he's one guy who brings a human sidekick to the story so you'd think he would be invested in humans but it's funny to claim that Kingo was out of character in hist first appearance. I suppose you could argue that the situation is different because in Eternals he didnt want to pick a side in war against fellow Eternals and besides ultimately he chose to leave rather than support his masters, so neutrality is his first choice when it's an option but when push comes to shove he'd pick humans over Celestials.

I shouldn't be up this late, but I watched episode 3. Honestly, this episode was really fun to watch. Loved the Bucky-Alexei chemistry that we're probably gonna get more of in Thunderbolts. Also, wow was not expecting Obediah Stane of all people to show up. And given what he says about Howard and Maria in this episode...if he arranged that in the Sacred Timeline too, shit, that guy is more evil than I thought.
I loved seeing Goliath in this episode too. Just serious enough to be a threat to the heroes, but just fun enough to be engaging.
But most importantly...HOLY FUCKING SHIT, RANGER MORALES?!? IS THAT WHO I THINK IT IS???? EPIC FREAKOUT MOMENT.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Hey, if nowhere else considering how their movie failed, at least we can see the Eternals meet characters from the rest of the MCU here.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!

Alright, Season 3 premiere!
Was that Marc or Jake in the front seat? Kinda hard to tell, since the subtitles refer to him as Spector, but he seems to have Lockley's Brooklyn Rage.
The time constraints really hurt this episode, as everything really felt rushed. And I dunno if it's just me, but the mech fighting...kinda seemed slow and sluggish. You can tell the VA's had to compensate with their fighting lines and grunts.
Character-wise though, this was really fun! It's nice seeing Sam-as-Cap believe in Bruce, Monica as his second command, and everyone else representing different parts of the world becoming Avengers. Also neat to see Nakia in a What If episode.
I also loved seeing some more relations between Bruce and the Hulk, and his final fate at the end. A perfect Bittersweet Ending.
So far, I think this might be my favorite premiere episode of the three seasons. Excited to see what's coming next!
