Yeah, but this is a Tony who wouldn't be jealous of Steve due to Steve not being the one who was a Super Soldier.
Hell, maybe since the circumstances were different, he's closer to Steve than to his own dad.
One Strip! One Strip! You know, speaking of this film and its relationship to Captain Marvel, I feel like that universe's Carol Danvers would've faced less stigma growing up for wanting to do tomboyish things, and probably looks up to Peggy as a role model. That would be really nice to see.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Different character
I think Tommy Lee Jones’ character got shot in the altered timeline
Forever liveblogging the AvengersTommy Lee Jones played Colonel Phillips, who died in the Captain Carter timeline's bomb attack. The sexist guy is Agent/Colonel Flynn, played by Bradley Whitford and who first appeared in the Agent Carter One-Shot. But he hadn't appeared in anything else until now, and since the events of the Agent Carter tv series had passed when the short was set, some weren't even sure if his character was still canon anymore.

I wonder how Phillips would've felt about Steve being in that Humongous Mecha Howard built for him...
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."There seems to be a running idea that there wouldnt be a Winter Soldier in the Carterverse, but I dont see how that tracks. Bucky wouldnt become the Winter Soldier, but that doesnt mean they just wouldnt go through with the program. Heck, Bucky wasnt even the only one. What's stopping Hydra from waking up a different operative?

In the "main" timeline it's suggested that part of Howard's obsession with recreating the Super Soldier serum and his neglect of Tony as a father is due to his guilt over Steve's disappearance (and Agent Carter heavily implied that Howard was motivated by a lifelong infatuation with Steve). That's clearly not the case here, unless he develops said infatuation over Peggy instead.
None of the other Winter Soldiers killed by Zemo were "notable" though. There could very well have been Winter Soldiers in the Caotain Carter reality.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Episode 2:
Opening with an alternative version of the GOTG opening scene is a nice touch
Korath fanboying over T'Challa!Star Lord is certainly different.
Seems like this is pretty damn different. T'Challa is still on good terms with Yondu, and they're actively doing good. Guess T'Challa was a really good influence on the Ravagers.
T'Challa's ship is the Mandela. Keeping it being named after an Earth person, but with a bit more decorum.
So the Ravagers just majorly messed up and got completely the wrong kid. The transition does feel a bit rushed here though.
Wait what. Star-T'Challa talked Thanos out of his plan! And saved Drax's planet. This is feeling a bit too good to be true, something's got to go wrong.
And Nebula's a blonde. Sure.
Damnit Youndu. Just can't keep a simple found family dynamic.
The implications of The Collector's arsenal are... intense.
Yaka arrow, no!!!
The Ravagers going to Wakanda is sweet. I wonder what happens after this.
Oooh... Ego still eventually finds Peter. That's one heck of a sequel hook for a story we might never actually get.
All in all, a pretty fun episode.
And of course, dedicated to Chadwick Boseman. RIP.
I honestly feel bad for Peter. No one will ever forgive him Infinity War, in Endgame when everyone gets to have moment I can remember like 3 scenes with him and he's a butt of a joke in each of them (the one where Nebula and Rhodey knock him out and call him an idiot being probably the least pathetic) and now we get What If somebody else got to be Star-Lord and just...was so much better at it. Like truly amazing. Cursed be our timeline for having such a loser Star-Lord.
The fucking Noodle Incident of T'Challa talking Thanos out of his plans kills me.

I was thinking the same thing. They just made Peter Quill way less forgivable than he was before.
I liked "good" Thanos more than I should have. But his transformation still feels a bit too easy if not unrealistic.
Overall, I liked this episode more than the first one.

Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous.

My guess is Steve took Peggy's place in the alternate Earth and founded it alongside Howard. Which also brings up the cool possibility that an old Steve was a mentor to young Tony and could have passed the Iron Man mantle down to him.
