Bump.
You might've noticed from the trailer that a certain Ben Affleck appeared.
("But I thought he and Kevin weren't friends anymore!")

Oh yeah, Kevin went and donated the money he made with Weinstein to the not-profit Women in Film organization.
Kevin was actually really horrified about the fiasco:
"My entire career is tied up with the man. It's been a weird f*cking week. I just wanted to make some f*cking movies, that's it...No f*cking movie is worth all this. Like, my entire career, f*ck it, take it. It's wrapped up in something really f*cking horrible...I know it's not my fault, but I didn't f*cking help. I sat out there talking about this man like he was a hero, like he was my friend, like he was my father and shit like that."

I recall something that Weinstein was acting poorly at one of Smith's later auteur films and that already soured their friendship. Weinstein is a hard case to get around, he's connected to like a third of Hollywood, especially the artistic elite (he's a producer for all of Tarantino and The Lord of the Rings, meaning it's impossible to watch those movies and not see his name).

In 2001, two stonehead best friends, one with a hair of gold and a mouth of filth, and the other a silent intellect(?), found out a movie based on a comic based on them was being made. They went to stop that movie.
18 years later...
The inevitable reboot of that same movie is coming, and the same stoneheads, now older and wiser (YMMV on that last one) strike back...again.
(Beware of profanity.)
