It really does look like every single special trainer from every gen is gonna be here in some form. Im digging deep to wonder who would i like to see...
Gabby and Ty immediately spring to mind from RSE, though i wonder if they are enough to count. There's the Shadow Triad from gen 5 and their Bisharps...
Oh! Theres also Emma and AZ from X and Y! Maybe we can finally use A Zs floette in battle...
Well, if nothing else, a question on most fan's minds since X & Y will finally have a default answer:
"Is Whitney a Normal-Type Leader or a Fairy-Type Leader"?
her main pokemon is miltank so shes a normal type leader
p sure no one was wondering that...
Oh yeah. Most of her types have been retconned to be Fairy Type (or part fairy type) now. I'd totally forgotten that.
I guess she's gonna have to completely overhaul her mons if they ever remake Gen 2 again.
New team or just replacing Miltank?
her miltank is such a meme at this point i highly doubt theyll replace it
Her team was just Clefairy and Miltank. She'll just use Miltank here.
Interesting to see a lot of old faces here, including Kris.
Odd that Caitlin and Grimsley's partners are Reuniclus and Liepard, though. I was under the impression their bests were Gothitelle and Bisharp respectively.

Since it's a gacha game, I wonder if we will see some Cynthia focus in the lead up to potential gen 4 remakes.
Either way, we will definitely be getting tie ins if this is successful.
I'd be more interested in Orre ports to the Switch though.
So here's hoping Wes or Rui get in!
We actually dont know what it is. All we know is that it has micro transactions in it. It seems to have some story element so idk how you would gachafy it since rhe gacha experience is pretty random. We still need to know how you raise up and meet these sync pairs.
Also, PokeMarvel Masters

If they started bringing in some Colosseum and XD characters that'd make my year.
Interesting to see even the battle facility heads are getting in on the action too, if Thorton is any indication. It'll take a while, but eventually this'll be the Everyone Is Here! of Pokemon, even moreso than BW2's world tournament.
Its not just that, cheryl made it in, so all the escort buds from gen 4 are in as well. Im sure every uniquely designed character is getting in somehow, maybe even that contest idol from oras.
Plenty of mobile gacha games have fixed story characters that are usable enough to get through story mode or its equivalent but markedly worse than the characters you can pull through a gacha. Some even have things like antagonists or snowclones of characters you can get otherwise to encourage you to keep dropping money into your phone for years to come like the at least 4 different versions of Lucina from this game's developers own Fire Emblem Heroes.
We're at 5 Lucinas, and she's been surpassed by Camilla, Tiki, and the Corrins combined. We're getting gacha with seasonal alts because Summer Cynthia w/ Gastrodon + Groom N w/ Sigilyph will give Nintendo enough money to carry them through another Wii U.
...Christmas Candice with Abomasnow dressed up like a Christmas tree?
Anime Misty, original Red and Blue Misty, Advanced Generations Misty, Gen II Misty, Fire Red Leaf Green Misty, Heart Gold Soul Sliver Misty (I believe there's a slight difference in design from her original Johto look), and Lets Go Pikachu and Lets Go Evee Misty.
Hell, that last one was the default version they used in this trailer.
To a lesser extent, Classic May, Emerald May, and ORAS May.
Do we have canon names for Silver and Kris yet?
I could definitely see this going like Fire Emblem Heroes and having alts. Ah, we have Charizard Red but what about Charmander Adult/Child Red (whichever one we don't get), Pikachu totally-not-Ash-Red, Wartortle summer Red, Bulbasaur Halloween Red, Snorlax Red with a different hat, Lapras New Years Red, Red-trapped-in-Pikachu's body Pikachu-trapped-in-Red's body, Espeon Christmas Red...
Someone also noticed that whilempiplup is weak to electricity, the spheals are weak to grass, so its possible to have the same mon with a different weakness...
I think I saw one leak little bit before the stream (it was a video, but I forgot who made it), and one thing I remember about it is that weaknesses are like in TCG where each Pokémon has only one weakness.
"Caitlin should be in the BW section. Even though she appeared in sppt, she cannot be fought until gen 5, and her signature mon is from there as well."
I listed the trainers based off of debut, not series relevance.
No offense, but I'm pretty sure you just answered your own question.

“Silver is in the game”
That F***G BITCH?!? SCREW HIM!
“Everyone else is in the game”
Btw, why does Brock in the trailer have a freaking Snivy that heals almost completly after only one potion?
It's obviously a Hyper Potion.
Though I'd say a bigger question is Why does Brock have a Snivy period?
/ Brock's Partner Pokemon is Onix. Snivy is Rosa's Partner Pokemon. Each trainer is only allowed one Partner Pokemon.

That explains that.
Yeah, Brock was just being helpful and healing Rosa's Snivy for her.
