This thread will be to list pages whose pics are fine as is but are needing quality upgrades, so we don't take up space in the forum with individual threads for them.
Swapping a pic with a better-quality version is a free action, as is swapping a pic with a larger identical version to fit the new image size criteria (800px minimum width). If there are more changes in the proposed swap (e.g. less text, slightly different coloring or crop), however, you might want to post here first.
Resources:
- Reverse image search engines like Google Image Search
, Tineye
, Yandex
, and Bing
are useful for finding larger-quality versions.
- SauceNAO
can locate artwork sources.
- GIMP
(download), Photopea
, and Photoroom
are good freeware for simple manipulations like increasing brightness or removing backgrounds.

UsefulNotes.Game Boy needs an upgrade. The size of the image makes the artifacting fairly obvious.
(If it matters, we're using an identical picture to Wikipedia and their side also has image quality problems.)

If we can't find a good quality replacement for the exact pic, this
◊, cropped to just the GB, could be a good option.

Does Portal Door seem a little uncomfortably fuzzy to anyone else?
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.I grabbed a different screenshot from the same work, since I was watching it anyway, but I'm not sure this is an improvement, per se:
This frame looks less like a portal and more like a door leading out into the bright sunlight...
e: Here's
◊ one that might be clearer; now there's a kid partway through the portal. Alternately, here's one
◊ from his Transformation Sequence; more obviously a portal, less obviously a door.
Trying to grab the same image is turning out difficult; it's a fast scene with a lot of motion blur.
... I should just start a thread at this point, huh?

Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.Portal Door looks like an in-motion frame, which is probably why it looks a bit blurry. I think it just needs an upgrade, and I prefer the current version of the image over any of the suggestions, as for the window makes the “portal” part clear.
Garden-Hose Squirt Surprise is obviously a photograph, and Hostage-Handler Huddle looks bad as well.

Yeah, I'm starting to think the image isn't artifacted so much as the scene itself is just that blurry.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.Tear Up the Contract's image works great, but it's quality is awful.
Godiva Hair looks bad.
(Sidenote, Does anyone else feel a bit uncomfortable with the picture being of a real person?)

Found a really high-quality vers. on da wiki but it's still kinda fuzzy at wiki size to me and isn't transparent. Imo this image is just too detailed for our puny website to handle.
Edit: Oh yeah and courtesy link
◊ if ya wanna see for yourself.
Bayonetta's proportions are totally wack lmao
P.S. I think this would be a good replacement because it looks better and has more focus on the Armed Legs trope.

I also like that last one. Does it need a thread, or is consensus here enough?
The main trio's images on Characters.Powerpuff Girls Z are really blown-up and blurry. Also, none of the images on that page have transparent backgrounds.
Keet cleanup
I don't think it looks that bad, but I do dislike how his feet are cut off. The Disney Wiki
◊ has a full-size version.
EDIT: Upgraded it.

Keet cleanupIs it okay to scale down the image on Separated by the Wall to maybe 300px? I believe the original size was 240x240px
◊, and while it looked fine when it was suggested on the IP thread, or when I open the pic in the new window, for some reason it looks a lot fuzzier when it's on the page—at least on my screen.

the quality of DC Universe Animated Original Movies sucks. (and if it were higher quality, I worry it might be a little too gory)
