I decided the King of Almyra's name is Kemal.
- (Judith bursts through a window, her sword at the ready. Tiana, Kemal, Khalid, and Nader are present)
Judith: I'm Judith von Daphnel, and I'm here to take Duchess Tiana home with me!
Tiana: EXCUSE ME?! (marches up to Judith, putting herself between her and Kemal) You burst into my home, wave a sword at my husband, and declare you're going to abduct me?! Explain yourself, Judith!
Judith: Home... husband... abduct? Wait, he didn't steal you away?
Tiana: (indignant) The only thing he stole was my heart.
Kemal: Which, to be fair, was only to replace the one you stole from me.
Judith: (sheathes her sword) It seems I was operating off wrong information.
Tiana: That's more like it. Now what do you want?
Judith: Godfrey's dead.
Tiana: (deflates. Kemal takes her in a gentle embrace). When did this happen?
Judith: A couple of weeks ago. We need you to return. Since Godfrey couldn't have children, you're the only person who can save House Riegan.
Tiana: So. Father disowned me for marrying an Almyran, and now he wants me to return? No. This is a mess of his own making. Let him deal with it.
Judith: But...
Nader: You should leave.
Judith: (sees that any further protests would be pointless. Turns and leaves)

Ukrainian Red CrossSo, I'm doing Hilda's Paralogue.
It is incredibly frustrating when one of your NP Cs pointlessly flings himself to his death against an enemy he can't hit and then has the gall to whine that nobody helped him.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.Don't you just love Green NP Cs?
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Felix's Paralogue's Mercs are also pretty good. They can hold the line fairly well without much player intervention (too bad the same can't be said of the villagers).
FE: New Mystery Only Feet 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Umamusume Haru Arima 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiExcept you are racing against the NP Cs. Also, if the squad is wiped out, they leave.

It would be great if they didn't rush out ahead of the Mercs and let the Mercs tank for them. Alas, the AI in that chapter is balls (slightly being made up for by being able to watch Rodrigue suicide in many of the failed cases).
If we're talking unit quality here, the yellow units tend to be all over the board, like with greens. In the monster missions, they're typically pretty weak, with red enemies in Advanced+ classes easily overwhelming their scaling. In story missions, they typically have a lot of named units, so they're easily as dangerous as red enemies. Of particular note was when I fought Felix in the VW Grondor 2. He's one of the few non-monster enemies to require two quads from Byleth to take down.
FE: New Mystery Only Feet 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Umamusume Haru Arima 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiYeah, it's a condition that's not telegraphed at all. I've never had him die myself (for better or for worse, though I made up for it by murdering his face with Felix in CF), since I can usually keep him safe despite getting near him, but almost every stream I've watched do the map, he's YOLOed off to die.
FE: New Mystery Only Feet 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Umamusume Haru Arima 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiI've usually been pretty lucky with escort missions too. The NP Cs are never terribly smart, but they were never bad enough that I felt they were the main cause of difficulty.
In other news, having finished up my Crimson Flower run, I think Azure Moon is my favorite out of all of them. Its close, though, as I enjoyed them in various ways.
Azure Moon is probably the one with the most complete story for the house leaders; Claude and Dimitri are really minor characters in the Eagle/Deer routes respectively.
Bewitching EyesYeah, but Claude at least gets to have a significant role in Crimson Flower, with hints to his own backstory. Alas, he and Dimitri are both afterthoughts in Silver Snow, and Dimitri only fare slightly better in Verdant Wind.
Ukrainian Red CrossSilver Snow cutting Gronder II was very awkward. "Hey, so you know those two guys that were the leaders of the other houses? well, they fought Edelgard offscreen and now one is dead and the other MIA; no big deal."
That kind of makes me wonder if part of the reason it was cut was because they didn't know what to do with Claude. Dimitri obviously would've ended up dying either way, but Claude doesn't have a lot of excuses for leaving since on Azure Moon he explicitly sticks around long enough for Byleth and Dimitri to help him.
Most likely because he doesn't think he has any influence on Fódlan and that his goals cannot be achieved without Byleth or the Sword of the Creator on his side. He was disillusioned with Fódllan, because the war prevented him from finding a solution to his country being Xenophobic, it's not a mistake of his to yell at Edelgard that she almost ruined all of his life ambitions, because she did.
So not even an allied force was possible? If Gronder field could have played in 4 armies, I bet Byleth's units would be centered at the northern left side where the bridge is. This would make it far easier for us to reach Edelgard, but we would not be able to save Alliance and Kingdom students that easily.

That's likely part of the reason as well, but also story-wise two of the three other armies are neutral towards the Church at worst. Heck, they could've made the Kingdom army green units because that level of AI stupidity would fit Dimitri perfectly, and Gilbert actually requests your help in the final game.
Alternatively, have the Resistance Army arrive late, when one of the three other factions (probably the Kingdom) is already gone. There are possibilities.
@Yn K: Gronder 2 for Silver Snow could have easily been a thing given an empty slot for exploration data exists between SS and AM + the unused maps being awkwardly located between AM/VW Gronder and SS/VW Fort Merceus.
One theory I have as for why it never happened is that by comparison, no such empty space was left for story events, so simply slapping more of them in between would've forced to repoint a ton of data and test if everything worked as intended, which is very time consuming. And while they could've potentially added the events somewhere else instead, the current state of the game also suggest there were plans to revisit Silver Snow before they ultimately...didn't (likely due to time constrains and 'cause having 4 routes on launch was seemingly a bigger priority. The game's japanese title hinting all four was revealed a whole year before release after all...).
On a related note I still get a kick out over how nothing even suggests Gronder 2 was even considered for CF, even if Tailtean Plains is kinda meant to be it's counterpart.
Yeah, SS having the Resistance Army arriving late at Gronder and dealing with the remants of any enemy army would've been neat. Heck, had they kept the "more Beagles defect" feature the boss could've even been Bernadetta, being revealed she's somehow still alive at the top of the charred remains of the ballista tower.
@Arthur Eld: Congrats!
Random question: does anyone knows what can trigger the following line change in Hilda & Lorenz's C+ Support?
:
- Lorenz: Nuisance? Hardly! Your brother has won great honor as a commander of the Alliance.
Edited by Blackress on Dec 21st 2020 at 7:40:39 PM
True. Time constrains would be the only option left then (also I can't believe I didn't notice there's like 20 empty slots for events between CF and the paralogues. Good catch!).
Speaking of, I sometimes wonder if all the unused stuff surrounding the unused betrayals was indeed fully functional at one point but scrapped later, if their triggers were simply never properly implemented because of time, or if they simply changed their minds at the last minute. Like, the internal order of the voiceclips for that stuff suggest they were planned in advance and way before their paralogues were a thing, so...
EDIT: Another thing I noticed is that, just like in Ashe and Lorenz's case, had the player failed to fulfill whatever requisite IS/KT might've had in mind for Felix + Annette in AM and Lorenz (again) in VW, they would've ditched you in Part 2 with seemingly no build-up whatsoever, and I can't help but wonder how people would've reacted to that.

I want more Tiana x King of Almyra fanfics, someone has to make it happen.
