Gameplay or in character?
Gameplay. I consider Edelgard's personality to be very consistent.
While Raging Storm is very strong, I'd say Robin, and probably Robin's kids, is easily stronger. Veteran is super broken. Veteran + Galeforce = game is basically over.
Guys, this is the funniest coaching i've ever done.
Me: Alright, so there are three ways to the boss, the front is a bad move, and the left one is also a bad idea so-
Guest: EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE!!!!!
Me: Right so move all your units to the right side of the map-
Guest: BUT CATHERINE IS THERE, SHE"S GOING TO KILL US ALL.
Me: Look that's the best way.
Guest: And Annette is on the left, i can't kill her. What about her shitty dad?
Me: NO! There are too many golems and that route will leave you vulnerable to reinforcements. Now move your units to the right and keep them close.
Guest: Okay. WHAT? They look like they are doing a conga line.
Me: But they look stylish.
Guest: EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE.
Me: At least they look hot doing it.
Guest: " throws pillow at me ". I hate you.
Can Robin beat an entire level in one turn by herself?
Yes, easily. And she gets to the required level of power sooner.
Robin Chrom shippers where you guys and girls at?

Heck gameplaywise Dimitri and Claude are better because armor units arent very viable. Dedue manages to make it viable cause hes so dang good at it, while its a detriment to Edelgard.
Its why Ive seen jokes they released Edelgard first so L!Dimitri and Claude will be as broken as they are in the game.
So yeah, Dimitri being on Rhea's side in CF is a huge disadvantage to the Empire.
Anyway, my guest is finally at Rhea now, after cheesing Catherine.
The end is nigh, the victor shall become the hero, and the vanquished it's villain.

Well, if we're being entirely fair to Edelgard, she can still use Raging Storm with Wyvern Lord.
AKA "Time to spread Imperial and slightly-Agarthan propaganda about a victim of genocide."
Kind of makes me wish we got a collaboration between Monster Hunter and Fire Emblem: Three Houses where we get to fight a White Fatalis to get materials needed to craft armor that resembles Garreg Mach uniforms or create dragonbone weapons.

uuhh, you okay man?
Like i'm getting the feeling that my jokes are affecting you.
Why would I not be okay? I figured it's pretty obvious I like to dunk on Edelgard and the Agarthans (the latter moreso than the former).
The bit about the Monster Hunter collaboration isn't a joke though; I would legit love an event that lets you craft weapons based on the Hero's Relics. Though I suppose Areadbhar might be a tad different, since Monster Hunter lances always come with a shield...
Eh, maybe make Areadbhar an Insect Glaive and have the insect companion look like Dedue.
Oh, and while I'm dreaming about things I'd like that'll probably never be made, have the Palico costumes either be Garreg Mach uniforms with a wig based on Lorenz's hair or Rhea's Archbiship outfit.

You seem to only like Edelgard when there is gay panic yuri art.
Anyway, OH MY GOD SHE ACTUALLY WON! MY GUEST KILLED SEIROS!!!!!
Now to see what pairings she got and her reaction to Jeritza's ending.
If we are talking unlikely crossovers, I would love to see a Three Houses X FF XIV Collab like they did with Monster Hunter.
Dimitri for Dark Knight.

What can I say, Gay Panic Edelgard is the best Edelgard.
Certainly better than "I thought it was a good idea to team up with Thales of all people" Edelgard.
Oh wow, I remember when we first got information on the Demonic Beasts mechanics, I thought "Sounds kind of like the Behemoth fight in Monster Hunter: World. Thankfully no Ecliptic Meteors, despite my jokes about the Demonic Beast AOE attacks turning out to be the Fire Emblem equivalent.

Like the Ratholos gear from XIV would be great in Three Houses.
It's great you guys got to enjoy Thunderer.
x7 Yeah she can be way better, when she's not in her canon class of Emperor. Which isnt a detriment the other two suffer from in their canon classes.
Maybe it's a metaphor for something. That she doesn't want to be the Emperor for long?
Anyway, my guests couples are: Edelgard and Bernadetta, Hubert and Petra, Ferdinand and Dorothea( She softened up on Dorothea) Caspar and Linhardt, Lysithea and Felix, and Manuela and Hanneman.
Welp this was a fun experience, and hey at least she had fun being a conqueror and romancing psychopaths.
We will see if she's in the mood to play Claude or move on to FF VII remake.
Eh seems more likely that her insistence on trying to make something that symbolizes absolute power in her eyes actually makes her weaker.
Same way the power of two crests being unleashed with greater power doesnt live up to the might of Nemesis or Immaculate One. Heck her army is the threat in her final battle is the real threat on AM.

Well we can debate over it later, but clearly IS was being shippy when Edelgard is at her best riding a dragon. XD.
BTW Omega, shall we discuss why Zenos from XIV is better than Edelgard at merit based management?
Edited by RedHunter543 on Jun 28th 2020 at 8:49:33 AM
Everyone is better riding a dragon. Wyvern riders are rather unbalanced.
*flashbacks to El soloing Rhea after Byleth broke one tile of her barrier* Uh, I'm pretty sure her canon class is the Armored type specifically to make her less broken. I did end up giving her Yuri's relic, however. :) And hey, she managed to be one of the few units that didn't suck on that playthrough; I was scared that she would get too slow, but that never became an issue.
Seriously, how does being heavy armour make Edelgard weaker?
The drawback of heavy armour is terrible mobility, but Armored Lord and Emperor don't have; those classes have 6 Mov as opposed to the standard 4. That makes Edelgard as viable as any infantry, and her only weakness is specifically anti-armour weapons, which enemies generally lack; compare that to Claude, whose canon classes are vulnerable to all bows.
On the subject of Edelgard riding a wyvern, how would ye feel about her pulling an Ashnard and riding the Immaculate One as a mount in an animated adaptation?
I swear i saw art of Edelgard and the Immaculate One in the same pose as Ashnard and Rajaion.
Omega just likes to say Edelgard is inferior to Dimitri and Claude.
Edited by RedHunter543 on Jun 29th 2020 at 4:11:51 AM
Soooooooo, not very? Also, I'm pretty sure Edelgard doesn't go beyond 5 Movement on her main classes, which is pretty bad.
