So this video talks about Stormveil, more specifically its possible architectural history and connection to Farum Azula and Enir-Ilim's Gate of Divinity.

It also shows a bit of environmental storytelling with a bit of meta storytelling, on how the previous lord of the Lands Between (the dragons?) used the sun as it's symbol with its rising in the East, then when Marika rose to godhood at the Gate of Divinity it's setting in the West, and if you chose Ranni the night with the moon at full glory comes to the Lands Between at last signifying the end of Elden Lords.

As for the meta part its Fromsoft using all they learned from Dark Souls(the sun) and Bloodborne(the moon) to make Elden Ring, which is why the Lands Between is called that.

Edit:O page topper O page topper.

I think the Frenzied Flame is a bit like the Dark Side. A lot of wants want to see it as more enlightened and interesting than it is.

When, in fact, it's just mass genocide and Cessation of Existence.

There's no enlightenment when you burn children and plants.

In-universe, most of the people who fall to Frenzy have just...given up. For whatever reason, they want it all to end and they want to drag everything else down with them.

Yeah, it's a nihilist stance, not a desire for any true change. Especially considering that burning the Erdtree with it just causes the entire world to be burned to ash.

Speaking of the FF, it’s apparently able to kill everything, including spirits (it’s implied that even Torrent is dead after the FF ending)… So why is Melina still alive?

Note the Gloam Eye she sports in that ending, and her promise to deliver "Destined Death" to you. She may be the second coming of the Gloam-Eyed Queen.

In-universe, most of the people who fall to Frenzy have just...given up. For whatever reason, they want it all to end and they want to drag everything else down with them.

Hence the interpretations of the Frenzied Flame being a very twisted version of Buddhist concepts, with the Flame being seen as a form of salvation from suffering and how it'll burn away all things that make people different and divided, making them all one as they are burned. You could also interpret the burning as a form of "freeing people from earthly desires that cause suffering."

Funnily enough, the latter bit is something that many Megami Tensei would associate with the Law faction.

Given that we don't know some of the Demigods' stories and how Marika caused all of her problems, it's possible Melina is the ORIGINAL Gloam Eyed Queen.

The Godskinners trying to overthrow Marika years before Ranni did her one better.

Redoing the DLC quickly. At least this time I had a real, satisfying duel against Rellana, feels much better. waii

And man, I realize how many lore details I had missed by not speaking much to Miquella’s followers before. I… don’t think I had even met Thiollier the first time? This time I go back to speak to them every time I pick up a pebble and the situation’s much clearer. The gank fight will probably have a lot more weight too.

That Hornsent elder is also intriguing. First she just told me to get out, then after I beat the Dancing Lion she was just there, moaning in agony…

PS: It’s a bit late to ask about that, but is there a reliable way to dodge the dragons’ "fly back and breath fire" attack? I had one dragon spam that move over and over again at the start of Jagged Peak and I can’t for the life of me figure out how I’m supposed to avoid that. They always do it too fast for me to move out of the way.

From Software has announced Elden Ring Nightreign for 2025. I dunno if this is DLC or a new game, but it looks great.

[up][up] This is a co-op spinoff and not a direct sequel. Regardless, I hope its fun.

Oh, right. Not big about co-op, personally, but there seems to be a more Stylish Action vibe to it, could be fun.

If it were a sequel I would be pretty upset by the recycled enemies and assets. Though the trailer did show some new enemies at least.

I mean, if they can bring the same pedigree to this they've brought to everything else then I'm all for it.

The thing that comes to mind of a Nightlord is Ranni’s Promised Consort. Especially as her ending was the one associated with night and the stars.

Inb 4 time pretzeling itself due to Age of Fire is why Morgott appears to be back. I’d pray it’s Farum Azula since Placidusax and his age is associated the most with time.

How funny would it be if somehow, Ranni and the player character post Age of Stars were the villains here?
