MOD NOTE: TROPES BLANKET-BANNED FROM HAVING VIDEO EXAMPLES:
- Attempted Rape
- Bound and Gagged
- Epileptic Flashing Lights
- Jump Scare
- Nocturnal Emission
- Pooping Where You Shouldn't
- Potty Failure
- Sensory Abuse
- Screamer Prank
It's been discussed a lot at the Video Uploading thread that a lot of poor videos are slipping through the cracks, and that a clean-up effort is necessary if we are to combat the problem.
Common issues are:
- Videos spoiling major events from a work
- Videos not actually fitting the trope they're attached to
- Videos in which the important part doesn't happen until halfway through, with the length being ultimately pointless
- Videos that use the entire work, breaking copyright; this can be done either with one video showcasing an entire short video, or multiple videos that add up to using the entire work in piecemeal.
- Videos lacking the proper media source, or any media source at all.
- General quality problems, like audio issues or artifacting.
So, we've got our work cut out for us; but this is at least a place to discuss problems and come to solutions.

Oh, I didn't realize they said Screamer Trailer (and I didn't realize Screamer Trailer was a trope, likely why I misread it).
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessFor Overly Long Gag, there are two videos for the scene from Family Guy where Peter trips and hurts his knee, one is titled "Peter Hurts His Knee" and the other is "Family Guy - Peter hurts his knee".
Now, I uploaded the latter and it was the first one, but the main difference is that the one I uploaded shows the context for the scene (Peter rushing home after he finds the golden ticket), while the duplicate focuses on just the part where Peter trips and hurts his knee. I don't know which one should go. I'm kind of biased towards my upload, since it shows how the scene just stops dead to focus on Peter holding his knee in pain for half a minute, but the duplicate gets to the point a lot quicker.
Thoughts?
I wasn't even aware Screamer Trailer was a trope, actually. But looking at it, I definitely agree it should be subject to the same restrictions as Jump Scare and Screamer Prank.
We can choose to be better.I mentioned the Like an Old Married Couple example for Neon Genesis Evangelion before.
I see no reason for it to be a montage. Is there a way to download it so the clips can be uploaded separately.

The Spongebob Squarepants example of Creation Sequence uses nicknames in the title. Is that okay?
Yes it is.
The "The Council of Wacky Ideologie" (yes, it also missed an s) clip at VideoExamples.Goldfish Poop Gang mentions multiple tropes in the description, but I fail to see how the clip is relevant to Goldfish Poop Gang.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThe Tigtone video on And the Adventure Continues is sideways
Listen to my podcastI just used those nicknames since the word count was too little to put their actual names. Both nicknames have been used in the show before so I thought it was alright.
"Squid has to go to market. He's had to go to market for as long as he's sucked water."I've got a request, if that's okay. I went through all VideoExamples.RWBY at the beginning of December, to identify what's okay, and what has issues, and compiled a list. This is connected to the big RWBY section in Sandbox.Videos Needing Review, although I found more issues than the sandbox details.
I put this on the RWBY clean-up thread on the 11th December, and despite repeatedly plugging it (both on the clean-up thread and the RWBY forum thread), I'm getting almost no feedback at all.
Since I think seven videos need to be removed for either being trope misuse or unsalvageably spoilerific, and want to amend the thumbnails/descriptions/titles of a further seven for being spoilerific, I don't want to take 14 videos to the video moderation thread without some feedback first on whether my request looks sensible.
Is it possible to get some feedback from people here before I go to the video moderation thread?

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I agree on what should be done for those videos.
Come play Character Uplift Game!https://youtu.be/0COmXcTxSM8 Is this alright as a video example? I posted it originally and someone reported it for having a Jump Scare because of the Alpha's yell, but it's not framed as a Jump Scare or as horror, so I don't understand how the yell is any different to when people yell after getting Amusing Injuries in cartoons.
"Squid has to go to market. He's had to go to market for as long as he's sucked water."Agreed—it’s not a jumpscare. I guess someone thought it was because the scream is loud.

I probably should have waited before I skimmed and rejected the video…but yeah, the scream might be startling to some people because it’s piercing but it doesn’t seem to be framed like a Jump Scare after watching it again
Macron's notesMaybe lower the volume of the scream in editing?
So if I want a denied video redecided, what would I do? Would I just submit it again or is there an extra step?
I'd be glad to do that, but I don't know any editing software that can do that specifically. The only one I know can only edit volume of an entire video, not small segments.

"Squid has to go to market. He's had to go to market for as long as he's sucked water."You would just submit it again.
Macron's notesIn Open Shot, you can split the segment and edit only that bit.
Uh, excuse me. The video examples posted on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic S9 E24 "The Ending of the End – Part 1" are being linked to a wrong page. Can anyone fix it and migrate the videos to the appropriate page?

Known bug. We're not aware of any known way to handle it.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Videos from fan works should not list the official work as a media source, right? Because I've seen that happen a few times. For example, many of the DEATH BATTLE! videos have both DB and the works the characters come from as sources.
I'm a bit suspicious on the "Volo Reveal" on Evil All Along because that is a massive spoiler, even though the game's been out for a week.
All the new video examples for Scream 3 are in this vertical aspect ratio that makes the (shot horizontally) film VERY tiny and low-res.
Okay, I've had one response to my post above (thanks for that feedback, callmeamuffin).
This is the final call for any feedback on the videos I want to take to the video moderation thread for either removal or clean up of spoiler content.

Oh, that was actually Screamer Prank but I don’t mind adding Screamer Trailer to NVEP for health concerns like the other two tropes that were added a few days ago.
