So Bad, It's Horrible is one of the more flame-bait-y parts of the site, so a cleanup thread is needed to ensure that works aren't added simply because someone doesn't like them.
If you want to list a work under this, keep the following in mind:
- The work must have very few fans or defenders (both genuine and ironic). It should fail to appeal to any type of audience.
- Being offensive in its subject matter isn't enough.
- It isn't horrible just because a certain critic disliked it, though their reviews can be used as sources and citations.
- The work should have notably poor reviews (e.g., less than 3/10 on IMDb, or single digit scores on Rotten Tomatoes)
- For a Moral Substitute to qualify, it cannot even appeal to its target demographic.
- Please be polite while writing and as much as possible, avoid falling into Complaining About Shows You Don't Like. Instead, focus on explaining why the work is horrible.
In addition, per No Recent Examples, Please!, a work must be at least one month old before it can be added, to prevent knee-jerk reactions.

Is this by a legit studio or firm or something?
Because if not it sounds like it might fall under Web Original, which doesn't allow examples.
Came for the tropes, stayed for the cleanup. Then why are we listing The Red Ape Family on Horrible.Western Animation?
That's an NFT project funded by people with money, not just some amateur's animated show project...

I think because it's being sold? Web content is usually allowed if it's paywalled and/or commissioned or produced by a legitimate (for a given value) source.
I watched Vinny's Family Gal video and it does indeed look like hot trash, but we don't know who (or what) created it and why, so it's hard to say whether it's a legitimate production with real money put into it or just some weird foreigners dicking around for shits and giggles.
Either way I feel like including every bit of "cursed YouTube content" we can find would end up becoming redundant since they're all mostly the same.

Came for the tropes, stayed for the cleanup.I apologize, it's my first time here and there's a game I want to propose for the video game section. Saban's Iznogoud
the Playstation version. It has an average of 32, universally panned, and consider cited by the few who played this as one of the worst platformers in the Playstation. The highest review it got is 5.0, and the lowest was a mere 17. You think it qualifies?
Where are these reviews coming from? A 5.0 can be good on some sites and abysmal on others.
So I have a question for you all.
Does anyone else think the advertisements for Replika nowadays thoroughly qualify for SBIH?
"Us weirdos have to stick together!"![]()
I'm not sure. Never used it myself, primarily due to the ads actively turning me off the product because of how gross and slimy they are. I know Replika was originally intended as a mental health assist for people with depression so you could definitely make an argument that it isn't reflective of what the product was intended for...
Well I have been swimming in absolutely awful Replika ads and the straw that broke the camel's back was one that really, deeply, and personally offended me so I may be biased. DM if you want details cause the exact ad makes me worried that if I posted it here I would get thumped because of the despicably slimy context to it.
I mean, if you can't even share the details with us outside of the ads being offensive, yeah, we won't be able to properly discuss whether these ads count. Especially not if the main charge "they're offensive".

Well I can it's just... I don't want to risk getting thumped because of the context to it. The image itself isn't NSFW at all.
Berserk Button: misusing Nightmare Fuel
If you're worried, you can use spoiler tags or hide the description in a folder, but TV Tropes is quite lenient in terms of what you're allowed to describe in text. Horrible.Advertising already has an example for an ad about a caveman who assaults and rapes two women, then gets raped by a mammoth. If we're allowed to describe that, I can't think of a Replika ad that would go further than this.
Also people here have been able to describe in detail various shock-value PETA ads which I'm sure are a million times worse than anything Replika could do.
Anyway though, the issue still remains: Taste alone does not qualify an example.

Okay... well here it is spoilered. I think you can see why it would set someone with my PFP off...
Yup. They went there. As a fan of The Owl House, this makes me furious.
Hmm... let's break it down shall we? Firstly, the joke is unbeliavably slimy when combined with the image from a kid friendly cartoon, almost certainly without permission. Secondly, the character, while shadowed and not in the form of NSFW "fanart" still depicts an underage character while making a masturbation joke. Thirdly, it isn't even true to what Replika's original mission statement was, that being mental health help.
I'm sorry if I am biased against this, but... This one is personally infuriating and disgusting.

"Us weirdos have to stick together!"Okay, yeah that's a shitty gross ad but "Horrible" requires specific criteria beyond tastelessness. It must be actively devoid of quality, with an advertisement that means it must be so bad that it harms the company or creates negative backlash.

Well I was coming at it from the standpoint of this ad is just one of many horribly disgusting ads from Replika, and I know that those ads frequently get dunked on by the internet so...
Well given the negative reactions to them that I have seen, I think the ads earn a not insignificant number of downloads out of sheer Bile Fascination. Didn't the Emoji Movie make a profit despite being so universally loathed?

"Us weirdos have to stick together!"Another issue to consider is that many mobile ads are of similar terrible quality and yet the games still get downloads and they keep creating these ads, so clearly something about them must be working.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallYeah looking at the Replika fanbase they also seem to hate these ads, as they offer features that the app cannot do, and advertise ERP features that newer users cannot access as they were removed (except for older accounts who were grandfathered in and can still use them) *https://www.reddit.com/r/replika/comments/13yjqc7/why_are_there_still_oversexualized_ads/
*https://www.reddit.com/r/replika/comments/15q8gsw/most_recent_ad_on_youtube/
In that case a part of me wants this to come to the attention of Dana Terrace and Sarah Nicole Robles. I want this disgusting ad to have consequences for Replika.
'Member the Alamo? was added. It has a 7/10 on Steam and (rather upsettingly) most of the reviews are calling it "based" and redpilled", so those who agree with its fascist views are liking it.

I am wondering if this web animation series called Family Gal (no connection to Family Guy) would qualify for SBIH.
https://www.youtube.com/@familygal2948
It suffers from every malady imaginable in an animated series. Bad animation and writing, not to mention some of the most incompetent voice acting you'll ever hear.
Thus far, it only seems to have been covered by Vinesauce's Vinny, apparently being brought to his attention by Jabroni Mike, who in turn first heard of it from Joel. Only three episodes seem to have been made, which is probably for the best.
