So Bad, It's Horrible is one of the more flame-bait-y parts of the site, so a cleanup thread is needed to ensure that works aren't added simply because someone doesn't like them.
If you want to list a work under this, keep the following in mind:
- The work must have very few fans or defenders (both genuine and ironic). It should fail to appeal to any type of audience.
- Being offensive in its subject matter isn't enough.
- It isn't horrible just because a certain critic disliked it, though their reviews can be used as sources and citations.
- The work should have notably poor reviews (e.g., less than 3/10 on IMDb, or single digit scores on Rotten Tomatoes)
- For a Moral Substitute to qualify, it cannot even appeal to its target demographic.
- Please be polite while writing and as much as possible, avoid falling into Complaining About Shows You Don't Like. Instead, focus on explaining why the work is horrible.
In addition, per No Recent Examples, Please!, a work must be at least one month old before it can be added, to prevent knee-jerk reactions.

The rules explicitly state that being a punching bag for many a Caustic Critic isn’t a reason to add it. Try to look up proof of that being the overwhelming consensus among general audiences.

Once Upon A Time.I think that The Wizard of Oz qualifies for an entry. The game is widely regarded as among the worst on the SNES and the bug where you fall through the floor when platforming makes the game virtually unplayable. Videos of longplays are filled with people trashing the game.

Once Upon A Time.![]()
Well, for starters, there's this bit under The Problem with Licensed Games in the film's YMMV tab:
- The SNES version, despite being on a more advanced console [than its NES counterpart], is even worse, as the first few levels require you to beat an airplane race, and in order to win it, you must pay close attention to what's going on in the tiny box in the HUD, not what's going on on the main screen, when it should be the other way around. In the shoot-em-up levels, which appear later in the game, you can actually destroy your health power-ups, and while enemies can change direction to attack you, you can't. Your reward for beating [the game] is an A Winner Is You ending.
As for audience scores, it has a 2.15
in GameFAQs, and the comments section on these
longplays
are in agreement that the game sucked.
Mobygames lists even more
reviews for this game.

That suffices. Do I need to have played The Wizard of Oz Snes to write an entry for it?
How’s this?

Once Upon A Time.To bring things back to the Sandbox idea for a moment, maybe a better idea (in light of the concerns DDRMASTER and Guma brought up) could be to simply list the disqualified works in the places where people would go to list them on the page (e.g. the notice about Bunsen is a Beast going between Bubsy and Da Boom Crew) instead of at the top of the page where a determined user might simply skim past them as they go straight to where the disqualified work would be listed.

"Hey, least I didn't lose all my artistic talent when I crash landed in the arena here."How's this write-up?
- The Rocketeer received a few video game adaptations, but everyone agrees that the SNES version is the worst one. Most infamous is the game's opening stage, where the player is tasked with beating two airplane races, but constantly crash into obstacles. The trick to win is focusing on the tiny box in the HUD rather than the main screen, not the other way around. This is followed by generic Rail Shooter sections, which feature muddy graphics that make it hard to see the enemies, and Shoot 'em Up stages with poor control, enemies that can attack you from places you can't get them, and the possibility to destroy power-ups. The game concludes with an overly simplistic fight scene and a "screen of text" ending. ScrewAttack placed the game third on their list of the worst superhero games
, while The Angry Video Game Nerd commented
that it might be the worst SNES game ever and The Video Game Critic gave it an F- rating
.
~Purple Eyed Guma just unalphabetized Bubsy on Horrible.Western Animation because apparently "articles don't count for alphabetization".
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkReally? I was wondering, because all the SBIH pages, at least, are in alphabetical order.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkYeah, same reason why tropes like "The Girl Who Fits This Slipper" goes under "G" and not "T".
That said, it's weird to only do it to this one page. If every SBIH page is like this, we might need a bigger cleanup effort.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallOH! I'm ridiculous guys, sorry. I thought they meant articles as in pages, not words like "the". I'm so sorry. Of course, the fact that it was in Xtreme Kool Letterz made things a bit harder to connect.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkFor the record though, The Other Wiki alphabetizes this show under D rather than B.
Does I Know Who Killed Me really count as SBIH anymore? It seems to have gained a cult following as of the late 2010's and has some pretty decent elements, which its own YMMV page acknowledges. Even It's SBIH entry doesn't really go into why it is so bad, besides general issues.

I think we should add The Rocketeer for SNES to the Horrible Video Games list. The Angry Video Game Nerd's recent review
of it, where he says it might be the worst SNES game ever, called the game back to attention; but the game was already infamously panned way before that, such as ScrewAttack placing it third on their list of the worst superhero games
, and The Video Game Critic giving the game an F- rating
.
