Cannon Busters is...interesting, but there are points it really, REALLY seems to be more focused on referencing stuff than advancing its own story. It gets distracting.
Given just keeps getting better, with Akihiko being the MVP of the episode… but at this rate I wonder if we're even gonna hear Mafuyu sing before the end of the season…
BEM Episode 5: Today's enemy is a neat freak guy who becomes a vacuum cleaner like monster? Alright. And then there's a new police officer who only interested to capture the three main protagonists because...Potatoes. And man that guy is so tense. And yeah, seems that Lizzie starts warming up to them.

Given episode 8… Okay, Mafuyu must have really strong fingers to snap steel strings so easily. The thickest ones too!
Forgot to mention this when the episode came out last week, but the teacher with weird sclera in Danberu-/Dumbbells is the mother of a character from Kegan Ashura.
BEM Episode 6: Today's episode is about a sympathetic inhuman who is a former Colonel who went to space and kidnaps a girl because he pitied her being experimented. Bela made friends with those two until the ending which resulted on the inhuman died and the kid getting kidnapped to be experimented by the institution again...Man fuck that Superior.
Given episode 9… Whew. I'm still not a fan of Mafuyu's singing voice, but that song was beautiful. Did he just… improvise the lyrics on the spot though? Oh did he have them but was afraid to sing at first? Aaaand then there's the kiss. That happened earlier than I expected. The only downside is that CG which made Zombieland Saga look like Land of the Lustrous by comparison. Ugh.
So, after Yûri on Ice in '17 and Yagakimi in '18, I guess this will be the standout "gay romance show" of the year, now that it's pretty clear Carole & Tuesday isn't going the yuri route (unless there's a last minute shift).

You can tell they've burned most of their budget for the episode on that CGI, though.
^^I knew I was right to bail out of C&T when I did...
That's the tragedy of it.
Heh, yuri or not I've actually been enjoying the second half of C&T more than the first half. Maybe because it has more of an overarching plot.

Aren't we in need of a "Cowboy Bebop" reference/shout out?
I know it alreaytakes place in Alba city and the currency is woolongs but it will be funny as hell if faye came for one of their concerts or RADICAL EDWARD suddenly ends up in a guitar case
I'll deliver the two episodes of BEM then because I forgot the recap for Episode 7:
Aaand this season of Given comes to an end. For the first "BL" anime I've watched, it was a good pick. I'll probably pick up the manga after this.
Episode 11 was a tad anticlimactic, but an appropriate point to wrap up the season. Also, Ritsuka's "Inside-Out" reaction to the confession was pure gold.
I read earlier that Given is getting a movie so maybe that'll be a better ending than the show's?
Movie as in sequel movie or a condensed version of the show?
Aaaand that's also a wrap for O Maidens in Your Savage Season. It ended much better than I expected considering how this episode started. Milo-sensei kinda saved the day here…? Lots of sweet stuff in the epilogue with Jujo being happy with her newly born baby, Milo-sensei and Tomita-sensei marrying (there's not enough love for chubby women in anime!) and Niina and Momoko… still being close, if not a couple quite yet?
So yeah, to borrow Kazusa's words: "It fit." I guess it's my favorite series this season along with Given and Vinland Saga? Even if it doesn't get a second season, I'd satisfied with this ending, although the manga is still ongoing apparently.
I've kinda fallen behind on Okaa-san Online, and I'm not really that motivated to catch up… I probably will though.
I heard given's movie is gonna be a sequel, yeah.
Anyway, there goes our Title Drop... And this was quite a fun show. Haruki second best boi (first would be Kedama, of course).
If Maou sama Retry only end in Episode 12. Final thoughts? Eh...It was okay, not that much of a special anime and you could watch it if you don't have any alternative. Just an okay anime. Not bad but not good either.
Maou-sama, Retry was the only isekai i didn't drop/put on hold this season
BEM Episode 9: Okay, so the episode is about a long conversation between BEM and a politician who lost everything. The politician seems like a nice dude as he tried at his best to make the life of monster even better but sadly, he was killed at the end by the vengeful assassin. The reason why the assassin attacked the hero in the first place is because of the grudge he holds after getting defeated by Belo. Speaking of grudges...GDI Dylan! He ended up joining the bad guys at the end and we now see the real face of the leader of the bad guys.
Machikado Mazoku was great.
Watched the first episode after lunch today and ended up continuing though the whole series.
I really liked how it had a lot of continuity. Way more than typical for the type of show.
The world is lucky Ryo didn't inherit the majority of the demon blood.

I'll need to check it out. I picked up the first volume but never read it, but it looks cute.
