I live just 40 minutes away from Six Flags Great America.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!I really liked Italy's Gardaland, to the point that the idea of a theme park based on a single company's copyrights sounded restrictive to me (I never went to Disneyland or Legoland). They had rides and areas themed around genres in general that anyone could recognise: pirates, Egyptian tombs, the Wild West, Merlin, and rollercoasters with no real theme. I could talk about some of them but I would have to jog my memory of my teenage years.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.Thought I’d try and wake up this old thread with this video:
And one more for good measure:

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.I remember that there was a time in summer 2021 where my dad and I would go to Six Flags Great America pretty regularly.
I want to go back there sometime soon - my favorite ride there is the X Flight.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.![]()
You aren't supposed to just link to videos without summarizing them.
It's like I'm in some kind of... TV Tropes...
does anybody else think that seaworld is kinda Ambiguously Evil
Bumping with an interesting video of Universal’s Epic Universe Universal Monsters section.
Anyone interested in the other sections of the park?
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.I still like to think about that nine years later. My brother-in-law loves roller coaster and other such thrill rides, but he met his match with the 3D coaster in the Harry Potter castle at Universal Orlando.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!Harry Potter is the next section they’re announcing. Right now, it’s Universal Monsters.
Think your brother in law could handle that werewolf coaster?
Actually, what DID happen with the Harry Potter ride?

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight. On my way to and from Racine Zoo yesterday, I drove by the very cool Six Flags Great America.
I saw that one of their most iconic roller coasters, the American Eagle, is still there.
I heard they were planning on replacing it with something else, but so far it seems like nothing came of it.

In this thread we can discuss theme parks that arent Disney, be it Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, or even some small local amusement park
