Cere seems likely, though I’d give an eye roll out of the series’ overuse of Mentor Occupational Hazard - especially since the first game already did it with Tapal.

And as a personal aside, Cere is iirc the only black woman in the entire franchise who isn’t with the Empire, nor was ever with the Empire and then changed sides, so I’d prefer if the sequel didn’t just toss her away.

I'm half-expecting the Haxion Brood to come up again in the sequel.

Honestly, "let's just kill one of the main characters for drama/to up the stakes" is pretty much a cliché in general at this point.

That can't be right. Sana Starros has existed even before Cere has. Although I guess being part of the Rebels' smuggler is still a criminal regardless of alignment.

The trailer is out.

I imagine the Dark Troopers will be minibosses.

Or replacements for the KS droids.

Very cool trailer with, still, a very boring protagonist.

I concur with eagle, where Merrin.

Pretty sure that are the Sentry Droids from Rebels, actual Dark Troopers shouldnt exist yet at this point in the timeline.

Seems we will have at least one big city biom in this one.

Merrin and Greez are just complete no shows and Cere as some kind of archive worker, did the crew split up?

Also jungle Wampa, werent Wampas from non ice planets a thing in Shadows of the Empire?

Also troubling is that not only has the fellowship apparently split up, but Cal seems to be rolling with someone else now. Some dashing rogue-esque fellow.

Man this trailer looks sweet. We can now dual wield too, that is great.

And only 3 Months left. I'm officially hyped.

So apparently Cal can use a blaster now? Can we parry people by shooting them like in Bloodborne?

There is some speculation going around that the big alien guy among the new villains is a Gen'Dai, the almost unkillable species of Durge.

Definitly would lend itself for a pretty crazy boss fight.

KnownUnknown Since: Jan, 2001

Who knows, he could actually be Durge. So long as he survives the game, that is (since Durge needs to still be alive to show up in the Aphra series years later).

Was there a Gen'Dai in Swtor or am I misremembering.

That would certainly make for an interesting fight in a more action based game.

He looks like the Gen'Dai from SWTOR as well, so I'm fairly certain that's what he is. Other guy might be an Echani or Arkanian Offshoot. Either way, all I know is I want this to have no connection to the High Republic or Sequels.

People wondering where Merrin is not noticing the pale-skinned person in a black robe and a weird hat standing next to Cere? My first thought was that's her, probably swapping knowledge and philosophy about the Force and Nightsister Magicks with the old Jedi. But then again it's hard to tell with the weird veil going on; it could even be a man on second viewing.

[up] Any particular reason for that?

Why? It's still a new setting for Star Wars and sprinkling in some threads and setup for High Republic to be more heard for fans will expand the universe in my eyes.

To put it simply, I dislike what Disney has been doing with them, it's purely personal preference. In truth I think Disney has mismanaged the IP pretty badly in general (With exceptions. Mandalorian is good, I think Boba Fett is actually not bad, Fallen Order is great, The Anime Anthology was good for the most part though some of parts were somewhat weak and broke canon both prior and after the Disney Acquisition. Clone Wars and Bad Batch I also like. And Finally Rogue One was a very good movie.).

Your "exceptions" make up the majority of what Disney's done with the IP, noticeably.

And it also excludes the comics and books, which have been almost entirely great.

The anime anthology was also SPECIFICALLY SAID to not be canon.

[up][up]That's cause I haven't touched the books or comics so I have no opinion on them. And yeah, it's the majority, but it's also the most important parts that I dislike.
