I've been playing this game recently. Really fun so far even if there's some jank here and there. Also fairly easy considering it's a Soulslike, though I've only been playing on Jedi Knight difficulty.
Biggest issues so far is that it falls into the classic Metroidvania trap of having garbage or nonexistent warping.
Y'know, coming back to this Game really brought my attention to a lot of narrative details I didn't fully pay attention to / appreciate back then.
Most of all, the repairing of the Lightsaber. I truly love the symbolic meaning behind it. It's basically a metaphor for Cal picking up the shattered pieces of his heart and soul and reforging it, under his own strength of will. Before, he was mostly running away from his past. This is where he truly faces it for the first time and decides to not let the darkness get to him.

Like when Luke tossed his away back in the OT and ST.
Speaking off, I always liked how SWTOR Sith barely give a shit about theirs when compared to the epic building scene for Jedi.
The Inquisitor just gets a hand me down from Zash, and the Warrior steals one from a tomb which is most likely outdated.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Palpatine once stated the case that a true master of the Dark Side shouldn't even need a lightsaber since the Dark Side is their weapon.
It's also pretty meta since Lightsabers were originally Jedi only weapons, and Vader having one meant that he was a former Jedi.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Was that not the Grand Inquisitor?

She/TheyIf it’s an entirely different seemingly evil Pau’an, then it’s a shame that Lucas seemed to have intentionally done a subversion of Obviously Evil with them, a race of innocent victims who just happen to have scary vampiric features but are perfectly good folks, while subsequent installments have leaned into Pau’ans villains that emphasize how scary they are.

Huh, I thought there would be more reactions about this. Especially since it's #2 on trending for games.
Sure fits the criteria.
Jedi Survivor takes place 10 years after the purge.
Obi-Wan Kenobi series takes place 10 years after the purge.
Hmm...
I'm not up to date with Star Wars lore, but this would mean the Inquisitors are still alive.
I forgot his name, but I find that Katarn Youtuber to be pretty reliable when it comes to Star Wars lore.
If that does happen, it would come across as incredibly cheap. Whether Cal actually develops feeling for her or not, I can't find myself appreciating any Stuffed into the Fridge. It's just too much of a cheap gimmick to me.
I don't really have any weight when I say this, but I am curious if they're going to make Cal become more combat efficient than he was before? I feel like Cal's greatest appeal is that he isn't this Jedi Master but more of a survivor. That's why I personally like the title of the game. Then again, it would be kinda irritating to not see him progress his combat arts in any way. I also don't see why he can't be somewhere around Kanan's level?

Absolutely without question.
