The Scrappy of the Trope Pantheon, God of Thumps
Doubt it. If he was robbed, then I would see a major delay between his vids (and no, the Gamer Baths is not a hint that a robbing did take place). My guess is he is moving out again and that is the reason why Gamer Baths ended up so short because it coincided with it.
I feel like a fossil when he talked about how old the 3ds was.

Pantheon server for all who click here. Lost too much money and time, this coaster ain’t stopping.Scott's scheduling has been pretty whack recently, which he's brought up on Twitter. The Gamer Baths video was likely just a shitpost, hence its short length.
It's kind of funny how the Xbone in particular actually sold pretty well in a vacuum but turned out to be incredibly unimpactful. It's also kind of surprising that the Wii didn't even beat the original PlayStation considering it was arguably more influential on the industry for a short period.

I'm just as surprised by Scott about the PSP being so high up the list when so few people really talk about it these days. I will argue against his statement about how common emulation on the system was, though: the first time I saw a PSP in the wild as a kid, it was someone playing a ROM of Super Mario 64, and that set the tone for most the times I would see one going forward.
From what I gather, hacking the thing was super easy and it was apparently a pretty versatile piece of tech in the pre-smartphone era. Being able to emulate a lot of systems probably helped its appeal.

I feel like Scott also forgot how long the Game Boy Advance was Nintendo's main handheld: three years. Then it got replaced with the Nintendo DS. It was the DS that decimated the GBA's sales, and I use that in the loosest way possible. The year the Nintendo DS released, the GBA family had already sold 60 million units. Meaning that other 21 million sales was post-DS; we joke about the whole "third pillar" thing now, but honestly? If the DS was total flop, the GBA was such a sales juggernaut that it would have been a legit way to downplay it as just some silly side project while the GBA continued making its way to the 100 million club.

Plus the GBA isn't backlit, which makes it much better for playing in bright sunlight.
Yeah, the backlight is far better for playing indoors. But I find that playing outside in bright sunlight, a backlit screen gets overwhelmed by the sun, while the original screen looks good.

That's probably why you could toggle the backlight on-and-off on the GBA SP model. We wouldn't have proper, adjustable screen brightness on a Nintendo handhled until the DS; though if you wanted to stick with the GBA line for whatever reason, the Micro also had adjustive brightness. Speaking of, I've never seen anyone who had a Micro. Of course, Micro came out after the DS had already established itself has Nintendo's next-generation handheld — truly the New 2DS XL of the Game Boy line.

Yeah, I suppose the Micro was the very definition of "who is this for?" In which case, the better comparison is the Wii Mini; a horribly featureless budget version of a console that was already at a budget price, whose only "saving grace" is that the form factor is kinda cool.

Scott runs through the best-selling consoles of all time, and asks why they sold the numbers they did.
So, did Scott actually get robbed?
