I'd say she'd fall to Choas right away, honestly. Rey's proven very vulnerable to psychic phenomena. The Warp would fuck her up baaaaad. She'd probably turn into a Choas Spawn right off the bat.

With any sort of 40K/Star Wars Crossover, I'd tend to operate under the assumption that Jedi are a type of Psyker and that The Force and The Warp are related (and similarly, Chaos is basically The Dark Side).

Operating under this logic, Rey falling to Chaos is about as likely as her falling to The Dark Side, which is pretty improbable. If she were to fall, though, it would most likely be to Khorne.

Chaos is most definitely not the dark side. The dark side doesn't manifest into daemons. The dark side doesn't actively eat people's souls.

Mmm, debatable on the latter point, I’d say. For a given value of “soul”.

but the Darkside has a distinct desire for Domination, I mean the people that best show the Darkside are Bane and Palpy and both are characterized as being self absorbed DICKS

The dark side is a symptom, not a cause.

Chaos and the darkside are kinda the two size of the same thing: chaos is a force that is unconcern with morality in general, just with emotion.

Meanwhile the darkside is kinda the base desire of someone.

both are pretty similar, most difference lie with the setting.

Currently, the Dark Side is more a representative of the darker impulses and decisions of those who fall into it, rather than a force that exists unto itself.

The Old EU was where you'd see the thing where the Dark Side was The Corruption with vaguely demonic overtones that or may not have had a will of its own. But that's not really present any more, and imo it was never really a good projection of the way the films set up the dark side in the first place.

I dont know, in the OT palpatine is pretty much a satanic architype making the dark side fall back into demonic temptation, specially because as much the force draw from zen philsophy and all that stuff, it also draw from cristianity.

In fact, having reading luficerian mysthisim and stuff like draconic magic, it kinda lot like a lot like sith in many ways.

Like I said in the Magnificent Bastard clean up thread, Emperor Palpatine was this close to be a legit Magnificent Bastard (if it weren't for his sheer magnitude of his crimes) but TROS ended up permanently disqualifying him from ever making into the list due to this quite frankly stupid plan.

My head canon is that they forgot to clone the other half of Palpatine's brain, which is why he suddenly makes stupid decisions. Though if they're going for the Came Back Wrong approach, they should have gone with Calamity Ganon with Sheev. Calamity Sidious with all the powers of the Dark Side yet none of the mind to control is a very scary thought indeed.

With all the bizarre revelations of the novels, how many here are actually going to take it seriously? We know the Rey's dad is a clone was an attempt to kill the Sheev fucks meme, but are we actually going to look at Rey and go " Yep, that's the daughter of a clone of Palpatine which technically makes her the daughter of Sheev. "? Personally, i'm going with Palpatine had sex with Isard OR Palpatine had a one night stand as a young adult.

Actually, he was voted down before TROS came out (this was before we learned that Sheev was going to make his grand return) due to the fact that his crimes were that heinous (DCAU Darkseid barely made through). It's the same with TDK Joker and Makuta Teridax. They had the minds of Magnificent Bastard but they were just too much of a bastard.
