Watched this with my son, thinking that the Santa design was a prequel to The Guardians. But pleasantly surprised!

Loved this film and it REALLY got me. The animation reminded me a lot of Tarzan and Atlantis - stylised Disney. Fantastic.

And yes, VERY Moist vs the Hogfather...

I would be happy if either this or Missing Link won.

They're all well-deserved

[up] The outcome was never really in doubt

Anyways, congrats to the team who worked on the film. It deserved that price

Got around to watching this finally. Super endearing and gorgeous to look at. Can't say I'm complaining about the BAFTA win.

Since Toy Story 4 just won "Best Animated Picture". A lot of Spanish twitters users are extremely upset for "Klaus" not winning.

Pity. TS 4 was the weakest of that series.

[up]It was probably the only one the Oscar judges had heard of.

It figures that the Disney movie wins. If anything it should be a judging requirement to see every movie up for nomination before you make your decision.

[up] Stay mad [lol]. I myself think that all of the movies that were nominated in the category were excellent and I'd have been happy if any of then won.

I don't hate Toy Story 4, but Klaus was better IMO, definitely.

Missing Link won the Golden Globes, Klaus won the BAFTAS (and Annie Awards), and Toy Story 4 won the Academy Awards. It all balances out in my opinion.

Indeed. It's not like Klaus was ignored.

Honestly, the fact that it got so far is impressive. Yes, I'm still dumbfounded after all these years later that The Lego Movie got completely and utterly snubbed.

If nothing else, at least Frozen 2 didn’t even get a nomination.

To be honest, I kind of liked Frozen II more than Toy Story 4. Neither one would have been my pick for Best Animated Feature (it would be either Klaus or How to Train Your Dragon 3), but I'd probably have taken the former over the latter.

It's pretty telling that Toy Story 4's Oscar is not discussed in the Toy Story thread, but this one.
