James Baxter is in this. I am now interested.
After seeing "The Christmas Chronicles" last Thanksgiving. I'm already excited to see a brand new Netflix Christmas film this interesting.

The pop music is out of place for this movie.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Yeah, that seems to be the nature of first trailers.
I imagine (hoping!) we'll see another trailer with more appropriate music later on.
Here is an actually good trailer.
My angry rant blog!...Wait, isn't that just the teaser from 2015?
Anyone want to make a trope page for this film?
I'd do it myself, but I'm not sure if the trailer has provided enough tropes. (Plus, there's already two other works here with a title, one is a comic book, and the other is a video game...unless we titled the page Klaus (2019).)
EDIT: Alright, I just made the main page, now I'm working on the subpages. If anyone would like to contribute, that would be nice.

I kinda really like this. The premise reminds me a bit of Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town. And while I thought the "what if there was an Only Sane Man in the story of Santa Claus" idea would turn me off more, it's actually really charming.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. Here's SPA Studio's development blog for the film. It's a very fascinating read.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"I think one of the Youtube comments described the trailer perfectly: its like The Emperor’s New Groove but as an origin for Santa Claus.
Honestly I can’t wait to see the film. The animation looks gourgeous in its 2.5D approach, the humor is actually pretty funny and I like the whole idea if a more grounded approach in doing the Santa Claus backstory as those are a rarity.

Two new clips.
A lot of new clips and interviews for this film has been popping up on Netflix's Youtube Channel these past two days.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"ICYMI: Klaus will be coming to Netflix proper this Friday. Be sure to spread the buzz on this movie, m'kay?
I will be doing my part.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"The film is now available to watch on Netflix!

Since there's no thread dedicated to this film. I decided to create one dedicated to this film. The concept art◊ already looks and colorful beautiful.◊
Here's the synopsis. "Set in a snowy village, the comic tale serves up an origin story for Santa Claus as it follows the friendship between a young postman and a toymaker named Klaus."
The 2015 teaser for the film.
The Youtube channel showing some production behind the film and more info on "The SPA Studios". Including the SPA Studios website
The movie will premiere on Netflix Holiday 2019.
Recently Netflix is planning on giving this movie a theatrical run. James Baxter, who was the supervising animation on Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and whose credits also include The Little Mermaid and The Lion King, is also working on the film.
