Anyway, the Nee Brothers being directors, that's been known for a while. I'm not 100% sure about this Noah Centineo. Does he have any references?
There's absolutely nothing on Centineo's filmography to indicate he'd do a project like this. He must have killed at his audition.
Noah Centineo is a little too skinny at present to do the role. He'll need a lot more muscle to play the part.

What? I actually enjoyed the movie. It is my to go example of being "so terrible that it is good" and I have kind of a hard time to imagine someone making an actually good movie out of the source material.
Btw, I saw a picture of the guy they cast and I don't get why everyone is so surprised. If I had to cast He-Man, that's how my pick would look like.
Remember, He-Man has a secret identity as a spoiled prince. In a lot of ways this is the more interesting part of the character. So you would need an actor who can portray that above one who can act like a caveman. The caveman-look, they can always cgi that.

2001 didn’t.
That said, unless he’s gonna use CG, dude has to gain like...50 pounds of muscle. He might as well train at the WWE Performance Center to get that big.
Eh, it probably works because people tend to look at his abs and not his face.
Wake me up at your own risk.Honestly, just get the people who did the Money Supermarket commercials do the movie.
I'll be happy.

I think a He-Man movie could work, essentially a more campy, bombastic version of the first Conan the Barbarian movie.
Yeah, Centineo will have to go on a really extensive workout routine and kinda do away with the "twee thin good boy" tumblr and a lot of his fans I think see him as.
But then this kind of physical transformation worked for Zac Efron and numerous others in Hollywood.

Just off the top of my head...
Upper chest. Nonexistent.
Shoulders slope a little too much.
No lats.
Biceps and triceps really need work.
Given how the image crops off his legs, I'm guessing there's not much there.

You could do a pair of brothers, with one being older and visibly buffer.
One Strip! One Strip!Liam and Chris Hemsworth would actually be pretty great for it.

Makes sense. Guy already plays an iconic superhero strongman. He doesn’t need a secondary one and have endless comparisons to his Thor portrayal on record.
And the film has been delayed -

With Mattel not even bothering with a She-Ra toyline (although no one really faults them for that) it remains to be seen what their plan is.
Maybe Noah Centineo needs time to buff himself up.
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Noah Centineo confirmed on the Tonight Show that he's been cast as He-Man.
Well they’re either gonna CG the crap out of him or he’s going to be training with the same group as the next batch of WWE NXT candidates.
Noah you had better buff up and fast.

New theme music also a boxArnold didn’t need CG. Neither did Dolph.
Yeah - there are plenty of really buff actors, and if Centineo just applies himself and hits the gym hard enough, I don't doubt he'll be a worthwhile He-Man.

A new He-Man film has been stuck in Development Hell for a long time, but it sounds like it's may be moving again. The Wrap is reporting that Sony's He-Man movie will be directed by Adam and Aaron Nee and star Noah Centineo.
Well, maybe. This is all unofficial at this point. Season 2 of the animated She-Ra show will be released on Netflix in April. Because of Sony owning the movie rights, we probably won't see any crossovers between the two.
