@Tom: Tbf marvel also published Tomb Of Dracula which was similar to Morbius series. And I doubt anyone reading the former would think Drac was an anti hero or anything.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Sony should get Emma Stone or Bryce Dallas Howard to reprise Gwen Stacy and turn her into Gwenpool or even Gwenom. If Ryan Reynolds could catch it on the second bounce then there's no reason why it wouldn't work for Wade's Distaff Counterpart. And Sony needs to show they can laugh at themselves now more than ever.

Gwenpool has no relation to Gwen Stacy.
I mean, in a meta sense, she was created because both Gwen Stacy and Deadpool were big at the time. She was created to ride two separate meme trains. But in-universe she's an Original Character Do Not Steal with no relationship to Gwen Stacy whatsoever.

Gwenpool was created for the same reason as Spider-Gwen: Marvel did a series of Gwen Stacy-themed variant covers that showed her as various superheroes. Fans latched on to the Gwenpool and Spider-Gwen designs, so they had books commissioned for them.
The editor also requested that Gwenpool could not be a Gwen Stacy or Deadpool variant, thus we got her unique origin and powers.

I’ve read a lot of his appearances in the 70s horror comics. Those present him as an anti-hero, but end up in UnintentionallyUnsympathetic territory by overplaying the ‘accidentally kills someone out of bloodlust’ angle without the character or story properly reflecting on that.
Here's an anecdote from a few weeks back.
I got a friend who saw that Madame Web was on Netflix. I told them the movie's not great, but they watched it anyway.
They admitted I was right all along.
Venom 3 sure looks like a movie.
And real talk: what is it with Sony trying to drum up an appearance by MCU Spidey but not actually going through with it? Is Feige vetoing it or something? (If he is, then thank fracking god.)
I was watching Bullet Train yesterday and only got a slight sense of familiarity about Aaron Taylor-Johnson the guy really felt different from Quicksilver or Kick-Ass so I hope Kraven doesn't finish him off careerwise.
He's currently rumored to be the next James Bond. I think he'll be fine.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonEvery actor appears in shitty movies. That's just how it goes. Aaron Taylor-Johnson's got plenty of significant roles to put on his resume like Nowhere Boy, Nocturnal Animals, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. His career will survive appearing in a few stinkers like Kraven, Kick-Ass 2, or Avengers: Age of Ultron.

So is there like a clause in the Sony-Marvel deal that they can’t mention the names of characters also in the MCU, at least for the live-action movies? I noticed Madame Web pointedly avoids calling May or Peter by name and I don’t think the Parker name is ever mentioned, either. Correct me if I’m wrong. Maybe that’s why they won’t make a movie about one of the more famous Spidey villains since NWH used them all? Might also explain why no Miles movie considering I think his uncle was in Homecoming.
Granted, this still doesn’t explain why they made a Madame Web movie over a Spider-Woman movie when they clearly had three perfectly good ones to choose from.
"Let’s see who’s stronger: someone that has something to protect, or someone that has nothing to lose."Most likely they haven't figured out what to do with Spider-Man, even if they could use him, but they don't even know if they should use Tom, or Garfield, or a new Spider-Man, or how it relates to the MCU, and so on. So they stall it by trying to do things with the secondary characters but just teasing Spider-Man himself.

Please remember that, ultimately, fictional works of entertainment are just that.I currently work at a Wal-Mart and am continuously surprised by how many Madame Web Discs we sell.
You are not alone.

I mean Sony has the rights to plenty of legit heroes and anti-heroes anyway.
They don't need to adapt all spideys rogues to start with.
