I wouldn't put it past Sony to make it the first option, despite the fact that that makes zero sense.
I don't think that's the same bar. The backgrounds look different on the walls. And even then it could be similar things happening in the multiverse.
However I will concede I wouldn't put it past sony to do something stupid like that...
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midWell, we will see…
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Sony is allergic to actually portraying Venom as someone who has done evil deeds.
Ditto their other protagonist Morbius. There are legit cops who don't care that he killed a bunch of people because those victims prolly had it coming. Like, WTF?!
So the Jury being formed because someone's dad wanted revenge because Venom killed his son who was just doing his job as a security guard in a prison, and even Eddie regrets killing, will be altered.

I think the issue is Serial Escalation. Just the jury on its own would have been fine but for the first film but for the finale of a series that's too underwhelming.

At least Venom and Morbius (as far as I know, not really that familiar with Morbius) are anti-heroes in the comics (with Madame Webb being a full hero), so presenting them as largely heroic anti-heroes isn't that strange. Kraven's weird though as, AFAIK, he's always been a full on villain.

Nope Morbius isn't. He murders innocent people their all the time their.
It's just he has the occasional pet the dog moment and is not nearly as bad as the guys he fights like rose IV who tried to wipe out an entire slum of homeless people or Vic slaughter whose a deranged serial mass murderer.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I can't speak to the comics but I think I recall that the Morbius from the 90s cartoon was more on the anti-hero/just looking for a cure side? He ended up cockblocking Spidey when he and Black Cat took off with Blade iirc.
And Kraven had a more positive spin when he teamed up with Squirrel Girl in the comics I hear second hand.

In the nineties Morbius had his own comic series, he's definitely an anti hero.
With Kraven looks like the film will try to make him and his dad a Decomposite Character of the comics Kraven so in a way comics Kraven remains a villain while also turned into an hero. It's a stupid looking thing to do but Sony.
Please remember that, ultimately, fictional works of entertainment are just that.Taskmaster (the character, not the Greg Davis show) would be a good protagonist for one of these. He's technically a villain, but's usually only in it for the money (which is easy to make likeable and sympathetic without sacrificing too much of the villainy), his design is really cool and his 'powers' are unique and badass. Add on top of that the whole amnesia thing, and include his relationship with his wife, and you automatically have a rounded villain character with cool powers. The only issue is Disney owns the character (I assume going of Black Widow).

So, let's do a breakdown:
The post-credit scene from Let There Be Carnage, explicitly shows Eddie being transported into the MCU, teasing that he might MCU Spidey alongside the other villains in No Way Home.
Ultimately, he never even met MCU Peter. In the post credit scene from NWH, is Eddie again, where the bartender played by Cristo Fernandez gives him a Rundown of the history of the MCU. The scene ends with Eddie returning to the SUMC.
And finally, the trailer of The Last Dance, where we see again the bartender from the MCU played by Cristo Fernandez, witnessing the guy who is hunting down Venom in this movie capturing the piece of symbiote that was left.
So either:
