This is a thread for checking up on pages for works that have not been released yet, to make sure that they are not straying into rampant speculation or posting crazy behind the scenes spoilers. You can bring both individual examples or entire pages to attention here.
In extreme cases, any page can be locked, but hopefully that won't be necessary.
(As these pages often are hit with zero-context examples and shoehorning as well, all four - speculation, spoilers, ZCEs, and shoehorning may get addressed simultaneously.)
The policy governing this effort is Creating A Work Page For An Unreleased Work. Cleanup is being tracked using the Unreleased Works sandbox.
All pages for unreleased works should include a %% comment at the top of the page, confirming the policy and linking to this thread and the Administrivia page. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the example provided here, but this provides a template to work with.
%% Speculative troping is not allowed on TV Tropes.
%%
%% We trope what DOES happen in works, not what MIGHT happen or is LIKELY to happen.
%%
%% For unreleased works where all we have to go on is advertising and other supplemental materials, we have some detailed guidelines, which can be found at Administrivia/CreatingAWorkPageForAnUnreleasedWork.
%%
%% NOTE - these rules also mean that unreleased works should only have one page image, and that image should NOT be changed again until the work is released.
%%
%% If you have questions, please consult the Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread at https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15514631230A64268600
%%
%% Thank you.

Let's save that for a Wiki Talk thread.
IMO, as Highcrate is the one very much against it, I'd like to see him make the actual thread. I think he could give a very insightful view of why it's an issue. I mean it legitimately too. He has a lot to say on it and I'm sure he can make an excellent opening statement.
(Agreed, War Jay 77)
Shadow?Should we lock the SU Movie and Homeworld Gems character pages for safety purposes until September 2nd?
I have things to do and daddy issues to repress!I wouldn't mind locking Steven Universe: The Movie, but not Steven Universe — Homeworld Gems. There hasn't been any attempt to clean up the movie villain's entry yet, let alone edit wars.
Keet cleanupThe SU movie page isn't bad in itself, just has/had a bad apple or two and people who didn't know the new rules before editing it, who have since been either messaged or taken care of.
Would not be against locking the characters page though, considering basically nothing of Movie Gem's character sheet is cited and pages like that don't get edited much when episodes aren't airing, anyway.

Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE was added recently. It appears to have a release date and at least some tropable material, but neither of the two extant trope entries have citations and I'm not sure how valid they are.
As it stands it doesn't seem particularly pageworthy, but I thought I'd post here in case anyone has any additions that might change that.
Edit:
Also, a while back we agreed to hold off on cutlisting any anime pages in case any new trailers or other tropable material came out of Anime Expo. AE is a couple weeks past at this point, and Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia still has no valid entries. Any objections to cutlisting?
The only other work page on the sandbox that is currently sitting at fewer than three valid entries is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). Any input on that one?

Hey, all. Couldn't help notice that the pages on Hytale have been cutlisted. Most of the tropes on the main page have been ZCEd, some of which were removed despite citing the announcement trailer. I don't want this page going to waste (largely because I'm the creator), so I'll try to save what I can.

Gonna raise a flag for The Lighthouse. While some parts can be kept, like Antiquated Linguistics, Deliberately Monochrome, and Lighthouse Point, I am personally not sure about the others.
I do know that the film was already shown at film festivals (notably Cannes back in May).
Keep, Salvage, or Cut?
After watching the trailer for The Lighthouse:
- Antiquated Linguistics: Much like the director's previous film, the characters speak in period accurate English, with Wake in particular using lots of old timey sailor slang. In a Q&A session after the Cannes screening, Robert Eggers mentioned that he and his cowriter extensively studied the work of Herman Melville to get a feel for the dialogue. This trope is not present in the trailer and should be cut.
- Deliberately Monochrome: The entire film is in black and white. Typical "trope happens" ZCE, as well as Speculative Troping about the final work. However, the trope does appear to be present in the trailer, so this entry could potentially be rewritten to be valid.
- Drone of Dread: Foghorns are used for this effect. ZCE. Could be made valid with more context.
- Go Mad from the Isolation: Left alone on a bare, storm ravaged rock for months with no company but each other, Thomas Wake and Ephraim Winslow gradually begin to go completely insane. Speculative Troping; the trailer suggests this but does not definitively establish it. Cut.
- Lighthouse Point: The eponymous setting. ZCE
- Madness Mantra: "Why'd you spill your beans?" ZCE, Speculative Troping. The phrase is repeated in the trailer, but it's not even certain who is speaking it, let alone whether it's a Madness Mantra for that character. Cut.
- Minimalist Cast: The two lighthouse keepers comprise the entire cast, at least until the mermaid shows up. Speculative Troping. Cut.
- Mysterious Past: Winslow used to be a logger, but inexplicably left that life behind and decided to become a lighthouse keeper, arousing Wake's suspicion. No clue where this information is coming from, but it's definitely not the trailer. Cut.
- The Place: Lighthouse in this case. ZCE. Wouldn't take much to make it valid, as it's a Title Trope, but even for a Title Trope, surely we can do better than a sentence fragment.
- Sanity Slippage: Both men suffer this over the course of the film. Speculative Troping, cut.
- Scenery Porn: Bleak as it is, the film features some absolutely gorgeous shots of the island and the sea. Speculative Troping. Could conceivably be made valid with some wording changes to refer to the trailer, not the film.
The page definitely has problems, but it could be salvageable with a little work.

Literature.Black Mirror Volume One doesn't have a single trope and it looks like it's in Development Hell. Motion to cut list?
The Righteous Gemstones and Creepshow have trailers and release dates but the pages are stubs.
Since we discussed creating a Wiki Talk thread about the policy but nobody's acted on it in the past week, I've gone ahead and made one
.
I finished updating the character sheet for Pokemon Generation VIII Families with the Pokémon from the Gigantamaxing trailer. Any feedback before I send it to the locked pages thread?
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Characters.Kamen Rider Zero One has also been launched and it's full of speculation.
There's this terrible Expy example.
- Expy: To Tony Stark. They're both succeed their relatives at a young age as the President of their respective corporations and possess advanced armor. However, Aruto was initially uninterested in inheriting Hiden Intelligence from his grandfather until he became involved in a HumaCogna attack, whereas Tony became Iron Man after being attacked and kidnapped by terrorists using his weapons and had already succeeded his father as President of Stark Industries.
Edited by Silverblade2 on Aug 3rd 2019 at 5:23:51 PM
As far as I'm concerned, Expy gets cut on principle; misuse on that trope is rampant.
Is it safe to recreate Crisis on Infinite Earths (2019) by now? A whole new ton of information has been released on it.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianI'd say no. There's still no trailer and information based on Word of God are not valid.
WesternAnimation.Steven Universe The Movie
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome: According to the trailer, Steven has spent his time away from Earth reforming and fixing all of the Diamonds' colonized planets throughout the stars, as he promised he would do in "Familiar".
I think it's speculative. Steven helping the Diamands could happen onscreen in the movie proper.

At the same time, one could argue that the second-hand account may misrepresent the work to some degree.
Then again, I could just go to an obscure work's page and just make stuff up all the same. All-Red Entry has an example of this.
