It's probably frustrating as hell, but I'd allow it. It's not like literal hacks, it just seems like it. Though I really wouldn't like being in the shoes of anyone who has to face that Sonic-esque monstrosity.
I don't entirely disagree, especially since Shock Wave is 60 BP and never misses, but it was his tournament and people were annoyed by the guy's strategy, so there wasn't a lot of opposition to that.
I get the ban, but yea. Guy didn't really break any rules, he just used what was available to him. It's just that the strategy he had was fucking annoying as hell to deal with unless you specifically have a move that never misses.
And its not like everyone uses Pokemon with those moves. He'd basically cheese himself to victory, which isn't fun for anyone.
Its the moral ethnicity of it.
Was that some kind of auto-correct mishap?
Personally, I think a fairer move would have been to allow it at the time, then to ban it in future tournaments.
And I'm unsure if it's an especially unfair strategy per se, just one that's frustrating.
He did allow the guy to continue in the competition under the condition of replacing the Zubat, but the guy adamantly refused to do so.
I mean, he was technically playing by the rules. I kinda get it, as annoying as it may have been.
Done something similar when playing solo, didn't even realize it was an issue competitively until coming online.
Rules of the tournament should have been laid out clearly. If the rules didn't prohibit that strategy, then that's the tournament organizer's fault, not the Zubat guy's.
It's a annoying strategy, but a legal annoying strategy.
Pokemon T Os:
Surprised we still don't know the mid forms of the starters.
As pointed out whenever anyone mentions them in the lead up to new information, we didn’t find out Gen VII’s starter second stages until October.
Hmm I am not too fond of SM's run, what about XY's, when were second forms shown?
According to Serebii, the Kalos starter's second forms were announced almost a month to the day before launch (September 13th, 2013) in a press release and the final evolutions weren't officially revealed until people got the games and fully evolved the staters.
I knew I wasn't fully following the news during XY's prerelease, but I didn't realize we found out about the final forms when the games came out.
Lol I remember people swearing up and down greninja was fake when it was first shown.
Oh man, the leak weaks were wild. Espurr became a meme overnight. People were mad over Delphox. a small store in canada became a smoking crater as the Nintenjas exacted righteous justice.
Gosh those were exciting times...
I wonder what kind of release window drama we’ll get this time. There was the XY street date breaking, and the SM demo datamine. Any guesses?
Dexit is going to rear its ugly head again I know it
I expect the forbidden topic to make the rounds when the game actually launches, because that's when we'll have the full dex for Galar, which means people are going to complain about whatever Pokémon aren't in it.
I remember thinking Chesnaught looked like Buzz Lightyear, and as a Pixar fan, it got an approval from me. I even mentioned this in a Cobanermani456 stream when the game was new, and he was like, "he also looks like Eggman".

I fully expect a demo of some kind to show up for the switch, preferably different from the e3 builds with a new pokemon or 2 teased within.
I want to know if we're getting a new Eevee evolution in this game.
Yes, please, new Eevee evolution is all I want.
