Per the mods' repellant efforts to avoid all responsibility, I regret to announce this is the end of my time on TVT. I'm going now. Goodbye. There it is.
I really doubt that the Hulk admires Banner or that Banner admires the Hulk.
So, I spend some more time thinking about the movie and suddenly something occurred to me...weren't there FOUR Scrulls who came to earth? I am pretty sure that at the beach there was Talos on three Scrulls behind him. Now, one disguised as Coulson and was killed in the Car crash, one was the scientist which I assume was killed by the Kree, and Talos left earth with his family, but what happened to the forth one? Was that the one Carol fought with an the train or was that the scientist?
Yeah, I kinda wondered about the same thing. I think it is meant to be the guy in the train who ran away and vanished. I wonder if there was meant to be a scene where Carol killed him that was cut.
The simplest explanation is that he never reunited with Talos, which means he is lost on Earth now. Would make for a fun cameo in a future movie, I guess.

Wouldn't Talos know how to contact him?
At one point I was sure he was Goose (and kept thinking so until Goose swallowed the Tesseract). Possibly he stayed on Earth for some unspecified mission, or was picked up offscreen before Talos and Carol left the Earth on Mar-Vell's ship.
Talking about Sequel Hook... after seeing the movie, my brother noted that a Captain Marvel 2 movie would have to find a challenging antagonist for Carol, now that she has been more or less established as the most powerful entity in the MCU (except Thanos with a halfway complete Gem set). Assuming of course she survives Endgame and does so with her powerset intact.

Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.It would be funny if there was a "Secret Invasion" but it was literally just one guy who was stranded on Earth ever since the 90s.
I was kind of assuming that taking down the supreme intelligence and ending a war would be enough of a challenge. With characters like Carol you need to find problems you can't just punch into submission.
Question: didn’t Black Widow in Avengers say they were not prepared for an alien invasion?
Would he? They all had just survived a crash. Did they actually have communication devices on hand? I don't remember. They got separated very early too, before Talos infiltrated Shield, so I think it is plausible they didn't get time to plan this all properly. From all we know, the intention was for train guy to successfully kill Caron at the ambush and, latter, for the rest of the Scrulls to successfully keep up with him. But than not!Coulson got discovered and crashed, which is probably the moment Talos and the scientist got a hand on Shield and thus had to hurry up with the infiltration. Meanwhile train guy was lost at the train station and wandering what to do.
Of course, this is all random speculation, it was not made clear at all what actually happened. My point is that "he got lost" is the simplest explanation I could think that would resolve the mystery (which could likely just be a mistake on the script). But we don't really know, I don't think.
I agree. Her limits are vague enough that it is theoretically plausible she could go alone against the Kree Empire and win. But a genocidal campaign is not a good response to a previous genocidal campaign, so it is not like she could just go and destroy everything. Thus some different approach, that doesn't rely on power alone, is necessary and, thus, challenging for her.
That said, given what her power source is, there is a decent chance of her being depowered after Endgame, yeah.

Black Widow also said in the Winter Soldier that she only acts as if she knows everything, in reality she is just in the dark as other Shield operatives regarding certain secrets.
I don't think Fury told anyone about the Carol and the Skrulls. He moved along his Avenger projects because he knew it was important, but he clearly didn't feel it was safe to disclose exactly why to anyone.
After Endgame they would have Carol stay on Earth of they want Ms. Marvel to be a thing, but since she is far away when Fury calls her I think her business with the Skrulls is still ongoing.
Where there's life, there's hope.People who know about aliens: Fury, Coulson, maybe other shield agents involved during the chase for Carol, and the doctor who did the autopsy. All of whom Fury could potentially order to keep their mouths shut, or have Talos impersonate his boss again and give that order.

Yeah. Coulson definitely knew, since he outright asked mentioned the Kree during last part of the movie. We can assume he was told everything.
And of course Fury's boss would know, due to being temporarily replaced by Talos.
One Strip! One Strip!Which is dumb. Because at the end of this movie Fury said they need to ready for stuff like this.

Well, he did prepare, didn't he?
I think we'll have to accept that this movie causes some Continuity Snarl with the previous Avengers movies... I'd think Fury would have been even more paranoid and/or cautious had he known that there were some shapeshifting aliens around and that the Tesseract could turn an ordinary woman into a solar battery. And I don't know what HYDRA would have done with that kind of knowledge (although it does meshes up rather well with their portrayal in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
Concerning Carol being depowered in Endgame, I'd be really, really pissed off if they went that route. I know she is on Story-Breaker Power levels but even downgrading her to the level she has for most of the movie would annoy me a lot, and even more if she's the only hero to suffer this fate.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Fury knows enough about the Tesserect in Avengers to know not to touch it with his bare hands and to get it in a containment briefcase
