The motorcycle in particular gives me AKIRA vibes. Bonus points if they somehow include a Tetsuo Body Horror scene.

The character designer is a known anime director, so it makes sense. The logo in particular is just awesome.

Nintendo's Tumblr confirmed that the game is eligible to purchase via Nintendo Switch Game Voucher.

The only thing this game is missing is some good-old Gorn for that old-school feeling. Too bad Japan's gotten more anal about extreme violence in there videogames these past years.

Hrmmm. That is admittedly not, the best look to say the least, even if you discount how often that kind of plan has not worked out.

I guess it depends on how the story is actually wrapped up? Like, if the narrative comes to a satisfactory conclusion that leaves questions about the world unanswered and open to further exploration, then that should be fine. If it ends on a big cliffhanger and no real ending, uh, that would be total hot garbage, as it always is.

Still waiting on the continuation of the plot in Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy which ended on a massive cliffhanger.

Plenty of games have done the "full story arc but leave off on a Sequel Hook" thing which is fine.

I am still waiting for Xenoblade Chronicles X-2. Hopefully the ending of Astral Chain doesn’t end on a cliffhanger.

It's an original Platinum Games IP. Going by how well Nier Automata did, they'll get the sequels.

Platinum (as Clover Studios) was making it, but didn't cancel it.

That being said, if they didn't try to do the trilogy thing, the series might not have ended on a cliffhanger.

That's always a risk.

The profits from Nier definitely helped the studio greatly, but there is always the lingering thougt that if Astral Chain is a complete failure commercially there is no point. This case especially since they're seemingly juggling multiple projects in the first place, they're much more busy compared to before.

Yeah. The Treehouse guy went through the first section as a black dude. (Your customization options affect the other opposite-sex Player Character too, who is your sibling.)

It be kinda funny if it didn't affect the sibling. Like you make your PC a black guy/girl while your brother/sister is Asian.
