I'm wondering if Hit-Monkey is still happening. Last I heard about it was in June, where Kevin Smith knew they were doing animatics for it and was further in production than the cancelled shows.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Here's the full 27 minute Marvel's M.O.D.O.K panel:
Along with a basic summary
of it provided by SYFY WIRE. And I mean basic, as the summary glossed over some things like:
- Wonder-Man
◊, The Melter
◊, and possibly Valkyire
◊ making appearances. The Super Apatiod will also appear, longing for freedom from M.O.D.O.K.'s family so he can make art.
- M.O.D.O.K.'s bi-racial Latinx family is original and living in suburban New Jersey:
- Lou, M.O.D.O.K and Jodie's test tube son, really sounds and acts like a "Ben Schwartz" character. He's an optimistic oddball.
- Melissa is M.O.D.O.K's first child, and a Queen Bee Gender Flip take on her father with daddy issues and supervillainess aspirations. The cast teases a messed up, yet heartwarming bonding moment with her dad in an episode.
- Jodie, as M.O.D.O.K.'s wife, is touted as having a progressive arc when realizing that M.O.D.O.K.'s stubbornness is affecting the family (compared to other sitcom mothers), going from "housewife to supervillain" without realizing. She's an entrepreneur and hosts a Mommy blog.
- Monica Rappaccini, who you may remember from the Marvel's Avengers video game, will be the workplace nemesis and have a "science-off" in Episode 5.
- Patton was surprised about Marvel's hands-off nature, even allowing them to pull elements from the X-Men side of Marvel (which they teased twice throughout). They compare their hodgepodge idea pull being similar to The LEGO Batman Movie or Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
- Ben Schwartz really wants to voice Slapstick.

So the panel for MODOK is here. I haven't seen the video yet, but the article mentions some extra guest stars for the show: "Jon Hamm as Iron Man, Whoopi Goldberg as Poundcakes, Nathan Fillion as Wonder Man, and Bill Hader as Angar the Screamer and The Leader."
Fillion as Wonder Man is wild, he was supposed to be him in Got G 2, that's a nice surprise.
Okay, this looks great. Looks like Marvel's answer to Harley Quinn, can't wait.
And who knows, maybe if this is successful they might resurrect the other shows. I know I'd wanna see the Howard the Duck one.

Huh. I was expecting a more high-octane trailer with quips and blood smears, but this was more grounded and straight-laced. (Or at least as grounded as you can get with a monkey who goes around killing people.) It's like "what if it was John Wick who died and his dog decided to go on a killing spree?"

The sheer amount of lead time on stop motion is probably what saved it from being cancelled.
