How does Blood Is the New Black differ from Blood-Splattered Warrior, given that both tropes speak of a characters being blood-splattered in battle.

I think there are two differences between them.

One is focus on who is covered in blood. Blood-Splattered Warrior as per the name is only focused on warriors but Blood Is the New Black can be anyone.

That is kind of a trivial difference but is important for the other half the implication of the blood splattering. Blood-Splattered Warrior is about the coolness of the character, since he just fought all those living enemies. Blood Is the New Black while it can show up due to battle also appears for murders or anything else that might cause a lot of blood spray and seems to focus more on the creepiness.
