Long Market, Never know your luck when there's a free for all

Taking full advantage of Shoto's ice-wall, Caitlin let the arrow embed itself there. She noticed Shoto seemed to be trying to freeze the surface of the building- and from the looks of it, Moonbow herself.

Clearly, he would benefit if the archer was distracted.

Caitlin fired several icicles in Moonbow's direction and began doing something she normally didn't advise- taunting her opponent. Usually not a smart move, but an excellent way of keeping her from realizing what was happening.

"You still sure you want to fight? I could do this all day. Face it; you're outnumbered, outmatched, and outmanned. Please. They don't call me Killer Frost for nothing."

She's still on high alert nonetheless; if her plan backfires, her other shoulder might meet the same fate as the one that has nearly finished healing...

Usalia looked at Kled while continuing to eat. She remembered his lizard friend from the entrance to town. Then as Raymen asked if he needed help, she started shoveling the rest of her curry into her mouth and in no time at all she finished off the plate. Then she cleaned her face and added her own offer. "If you like, I could help you too plip!" He seemed a little rough, but helping someone is the right the thing to do.

market, > Tavros: Very pathetically aggrieve

"Should I, uh...?" Before he could finish that thought, Tink suddenly pulled down on the end of one of Tavros's horns, trying to make him duck away from the arrow that'd whizzed uncomfortably close. He immediately after looked in the direction the arrow had come from, visibly startled and wide-eyed as he scanned the air in that direction. The troll but briefly caught a glimpse of the callous archer before the concussive blast sent her down; nonetheless it was enough for him to hesitantly conjure a breeze near the edge of the roof to throw off any further arrows.

Seeing as how even when surrounded, the mysterious archer was willing to go on the attack, Damar readied his pistol again. But not before changing position. After all, firing from the same spot multiple times tended to make an enemy certain of your position. Now, hiding behind a barrel, he aimed his pistol right at Moonbow's location, waiting for her to right herself and present a clearer target.

Green Sailor Inn Akane’s Room

Akane’s eyes hardened in familiar annoyance at the demonspawn, even as the kaiju entering the room behind him moved to stand next to its partner, fading into a crowd of two as the specimens became basically indistinguishable unless one had been particularly invested in their placement. But then Akane’s gaze flowed off of Molly entirely, alighting on the covered figure yet looming large on her craftsman’s table, a smile curling her lips with dark anticipation. “Give it time,” she murmured back, though so softly and with such a tone that she might as well have been talking to herself, “and I’ll show you how much better I can do…”

And just like that, her cheer returned, just in time to attempt to throw her arm joyfully around Christie’s shoulders and begin nodding excitedly as she and Tetra began hammering out their plan—until the pirate’s last words turned her gambit from a hook to a sinker. “Yes, we should head out as soon as possible!” She said, before realizing that her tightened grip was causing her home country to wrinkle, and consciously eased her grip. “With Syrup still on the loose in the streets, there’s no telling what we might run into—and even if they don’t know that you’re associated with us, that’ll go up pretty quick if they just see you walking around! Hmm, let’s see…” Adopting an exaggeratedly contemplative expression, Akane then pulled away from Christie to cross the room, before grasping the garment hanging in the corner and pulling it off of its hook with a flourish, revealing it to be an identical set of robes as the set that Akane herself was already wearing. “There,” Akane said, making to drape the cloak section around Christie’s shoulders, “this way, we can hide you in plain sight, as another member of our order! I’m sure that Alexis will forgive the transgression~.” Cocking her head to the side, Akane stared contemplatively at Christie’s outfit, before her face lit up, and she grasped the hat atop her own head and placed it merrily on top of Christie’s, jaunting it at a slight angle so that the wide brim partially concealed her face.

A wheel, Christie said? Why, that could only belong to a ship. Should Christie, or anyone else, have glanced at Tetra at that moment, they would have spotted an unmistakable glean in the pirate's eye that she was quick to hide with a bow of her head. "You wouldn't happen to have another of those stowed away, would you?" she asked, nodding at the cloak while she moved over to give Mollymauk a jovial clap on his lower back. "Else our trinketed friend will have to stay behind to avoid chatter of why a demonspawn is gallivanting around with a group of mysterious robed folk."

Continuing on, she crossed the short distance over to the door. "As it happens, a few of my men should be down by the pawnbroker's market as we speak. With luck, they'll have gleaned some gossip that might be of interest to us."

Long Market

Caitlin needn't have worried much about keeping Moonbow busy. Still winded from Damar's blow to the back, she couldn't do much more than curl into a ball to evade the icicle fire. Hurriedly, the vigilante fumbled with her bow, but Tav's gust of wind in her face slowed her down, and too late did she notice the ice encasing her legs and moving rapidly upwards.

"Hey, let go!" she cried, grunting as she tried to wriggle free of the ice now up to her belly. "Let go of me! D'you people even know who you're helping?! She's Killer Frost, she said it herself! She's the criminal here, not me! Ack-!" She squirmed about, digging the corner of her bow into the ice to break it off one chunk at a time.

Upstairs Inn

Christie looked over the cloak with curiosity as it was dropped over her shoulders, and accepted the additional hat with a smile. It looked like she was feeling more secure already inside her new disguise.

And a Strange Figure Emerges.

Caitlin, Long Market, Free-For-All

Caitlin quickly moves towards the side of the building, intending to add to Shoto's increasingly large ice cocoon. She's hoping to freeze Moonbow up to below her neck, but leave her alive and dig her out afterwards in order to prove a point. As her ice starts to creep up the walls, she climbs up the side of a kiosk in order to get closer to the archer and meet her gaze. What she's doing is risky. But it's a risk she's willing to take if it proves her point.

"I've already told him about my condition, and that I've done some things I'm not terribly proud of," she says, gesturing at Shoto. She's hoping if she keeps Moonbow focused on the conversation, her creeping frost will become less obvious. "As for him-" she points at Tavros- "we actually haven't been formally introduced. And now hardly seems like the time for such an affair."

"Besides, with your aim being as good as it is-" she means for that phrase to carry an air of respect; for as much grief as Moonbow's given her, she shows genuine potential- "I highly doubt you haven't killed before. In which case, I could argue that there's not much of a difference between us, except for a few things..."

"You put an arrow in an innocent man in your attempt to get to me. He could have died, and you acted like it was nothing important. But the first people I killed when I was hit with this...this curse...were my captors. People who tried to have me murdered. People who hoped that I would die a slow, painful death. People who may very well have tried to kill me again when they saw that their first attempt failed. I could be wrong, but it seems like there's a bit of a difference here. I killed to survive. What about you?"

"And I am trying to leave that- all the lives I've taken and the destruction I've caused- behind me. I'm trying to make something better of myself. I'm trying to use my abilities to help people from now on. You could do the same."

At the same time, she's ready to strike if need be, as she's not entirely sure how true her words and offer will ring, though she truly means them. She doubts Moonbow will accept her appeal, but feels she has to offer her a chance- if nothing else, to prove to herself that she's changed.

Long Market

Shoto waited until Moonbow started yelling to be let go to get up to the roof himself. With one stomp of his foot, he started freezing the ground beneath him, creating a rising platform of ice that eventually brought him up to her level.

He quietly walked towards Moonbow as Caitlin spoke, sending more ice to keep Moonbow where she was as he did.

By the time he made it over to her, Caitlin finished talking, and Shoto spoke up. "Even if she is a criminal, you're no better," he said, "you were attacking innocents, and I can't allow that. You have two options here. Drop the bow and let us take you to the guards, or sit here until you change your mind."

He made sure she was looking right in his expressionless eyes before holding his right hand up towards her face. It was so cold that mist was pouring from it. "How long would it take for you to run out of air if your entire face was covered? Do you want to find out?"

Kled-Green Sailor Inn to finding a missing Lizard

Kled glanced over to Rayman and Usalia who were willing to help him find Skaarl. Good! That meant having less trouble finding Skaarl with his short legs.

"Yeah, I don't mind you folks helping me find me Skaarl! Hopefully she didn't went too far, she always likes to run away from me sometimes. Dunno why though. ANYWAYS, hut two three four let's go!"

Kled then quickly went off, along with the other two, to search for Skaarl in Gdoyna. As they were searching for the strange lizard, they would notice Kled pulling a dead fish from....wherever he stored it, and started to hold it with one of his hand.

"SKAARL, SKAARL! Come over here already!" The yordle yelled to the top of his lungs, until he saw a ruckus and people running away for some reason.

"Damnit Skaarl, I told you to not make a mess in my new property!" He would then wave to the others to follow him to the direction of the ensuing chaos.

"Why, if anything, the best place for me right now would be right alongside you all!" He chuckled, and continued on the same train of thought, tapping a finger against his chin. Rayman-Green Sailor Inn-Let's Move It, Move It

Rayman watched Kled march off with an amused tilt to his brow, before turning to the barkeep. "I'll be back in a bit, so if you could warm up that uh....Plac,uh-Z Vlakwah...uh, that plum dessert dish for me, that'd be awesome!" He said with a thumbs up, before hopping from his chair.

"C'mon, Usalia, we've got a lizard to wrangle!" With that, he chased Kled right out of the tavern. Rayman had no idea where the dead fish came from (or how he hadn't smelt it, yeuggh), but if it'd help find Skarl, then sure why not?

Making it to the market revealed quite a chaotic little scene. Ice walls, people fleeing in terror-Rayman clenched his fits in preparation for a throwdown, before noticing a small group of people huddled around a lone person. "Over there!" Rayman shouted, running over towards the group.

Usalia nodded, she let go of her small focus on the spoons, and they poofed into smoke. "Okay! Let me just pay first.." Usalia fished around her pockets and pulled out some coins. She handed them to the innkeeper and bowed to him. "Thank you very much, you don't know how much that helped!"

As they approached people running from something, Usalia jumped up high into the air to get a better view over the fleeing people to see what is going on. As she landed, she reported what she could see. "Um, I don't see your friend from here, it seems like a fight is going on! Mr. Shoto is in the middle of it, maybe we should see what's going on?"

In Which Killer Frost, of all people, is the Good Cop

As much as Caitlin would like to see justice done, and as tempting as it may be, Shoto's being a bit too impulsive for her taste. "Easy, kid. I don't want any more blood on my hands unless it's absolutely necessary, and I'd feel at least partially responsible if you were to..." Her voice trails off, but the meaning is clear.

She places her cold hands on Shoto's shoulders, feeling the warmth radiating from his left side. She then begins coating the ice she's encased Moonbow in with another layer, hoping to make it thicker. If she can freeze Moonbow up to her neck, the woman will be helpless- but alive, and therefore Caitlin will be able to reason with her, or at least protect herself. All the while, she is facing the archer with an icy glare- if looks could kill, "Killer Frost" would certainly be living up to her name right now.

"However, if you hurt him..." she says, this time addressing Moonbow, "then I won't hesitate to show you exactly what I'm capable of. You won't even have time to regret laying a hand on him."

Looking over her shoulder, she notices that several more people have approached the market. "Everyone, careful! This woman's already hurt one innocent man to get to me, and I don't want to risk anyone else getting hurt on my behalf." With her recent slip of the tongue, she's not sure how many of them would be willing to help her anyway, but either way, she doesn't want to risk that anyone else will get shot...

Kled and Skaarl-DAMN TRESSPASSER!

Kled noticed that the kid with the stick up his ass, and the lady who complimented his craziness(or did she just dismissed his as crazy? Eh, who knows) close with some weird looking lady frozen and being scolded by them.

As he was making his way up there, he noticed Skaarl near a house. Apparently, the lizard cowardice won over his desire to help and she just stayed in the sidelines. "SKAARL! Get the hell over here!"

The lizard reacted quickly and made his way to Kled, and where the group was slowly grouping.

"I told you to stay outside the inn! I normally would punish you with no fish for that, but since you took me close to a trespasser ruining my property, you get it!" The lizard smiled, and Kled would then throw the fish to Skaarl eating it almost instantly.

Now that's a good fish.

Kled would walk over to where Moonbow was, as the Yordle pointed his long axe at the tresspasser.

"Trespasser! I am The Great Hussar Kled, and you're not only gallivanting on my property, but you're also wrecking my land around with your jumping around! So you best get the hell off my land or I'm gonna reach down your throat, and turn your lungs into mittens!"

As if to emphasize his desire to make her leave his land, he would poke the part of her legs that were unfrozen with his axe. Nothing seriously damaging, or with the intent to kill but it still hurted.

"Go home, get!"

Long Market Street, Alleyway

Damar, seeing that Moonbow was now incapacitated, emerged from his pile of debris to get a closer look at the situation. Running around the building's corner, he found Caitlin, Shoto, and several other people standing in the front of the building watching Moonbow, who was encased in ice up to her neck, courtesy of Shoto. Sighing in relief, he dashed over to where his former acquaintances at the tavern stood. Reaching out, he grabbed Caitlin by the arm, and said in a voice just above a whisper...

"Come with me, Caitlin Snow. If you want to live."

Rayman-Long-Market

"Sounds like a plan!" Rayman responded to Usalia..

As Rayman approached the huddled group, a lady with white hair (hey, she was from the tavern!) warned them about the lady they had captured in ice. Oh. Seemed like the fight was already over. Rayman drooped a bit at the prospect of missing out on a good brew-ha-ha, but there were more important things to take care of right now.

Rayman watched as Kled reunited with Skarl in an...almost sweet(?) kind of way, before colorfully threatening the captured lady to make her get out. Guy was a real character. Calling up to Kled, he shouted. "Iiiii don't think she's going anywhere anytime, soon, Kled. Not like that, at least. And I don't think she should be going anywhere either". If what the white haired lady said was true, and this lady really had hurt an innocent, then she needed to pay for her crimes, simple as that.

Long Market, Caitlin Snow, I am Confusion

Caitlin nods, her state of nervousness clear, and heads off in the direction Damar indicated, gesturing for Shoto to follow her. She doesn't want to leave him alone with Moonbow- partially because she doesn't want any more blood on her hands, and partially because she doesn't want him to get hurt in the event she's not as incapacitated as she seems.

"Wait...how did you know my name?" she asked, then realized he must have seen her real name on the wanted poster. She hadn't been able to read it closely enough in the low light of the tavern, but apparently, her real name was public knowledge. There was no need for her to use an alias anyway. Great.

"Alright. Corat Damar, right? I'm listening. I remember you. This is the second time today you've helped me out of a tight spot. What is it you want?" Her tone is calm.

(It's Been So) Long Market

"Oh my goodness, thank you so much, sir!"

Peter smiled behind his mask at the women thanking him as he shuffled a small trio of piglets out of his arms. "You're welcome miss. Just, maybe next time you should invest in a latch for your fence." Peter pinched one of the piglet's tails, snuffing out a small ember that started to burn. "And probably train these guys a little self preservation?"

As the woman walked away, pigs in tow, Peter dusted the various dirt, dust, pig-dander and soot off of himself. He was lucky to be walking away with all of his limbs still intact and not burnt to a crisp. Hopefully it'll start a reputation that he's a brave, daring dragon fighter, and not that he almost died to a stray fiery snore. His suit's going to smell like burnt bacon now, too.

On his way to the nearest bathhouse, Peter spotted a familiar gray orange-clad troll, embroiled in some sort of commotion that involved at least one child, two animals, and a girl frozen to a roof.

Oh, good. First he got roasted, now he might just end up a Popsicle.

Walk-jogging up to the group, Peter stopped short of the ruckus. "Hey, let's not do anything crazy, alright?" He called up, mostly to appease the crazed axe-wielder threatening the woman with his, uh, axe. "She can't go anywhere already, so ease up on the leg chopping!"

Long Market

Moonbow paused her hacking at the ice to listen to Caitlin's little monologue- probably not the best idea with the ice rapidly creeping up to her neck, but Caitlin's talk about killing her captors held her interest. She said nothing throughout, but a petulant pout and a dart of her eyes might have been a drop of guilt that refused to be pushed back down.

"And I am trying to leave that- all the lives I've taken and the destruction I've caused- behind me. I'm trying to make something better of myself. I'm trying to use my abilities to help people from now on. You could do the same."

"Hey, I am doing the same!" Moonbow seized the excuse to go on the defensive. "I'm hunting criminals, aren't I? I've fought gangs, y'know, two at once! That's helping people...Well, I mean, it didn't help that guy down there, but I mean, collateral damage is gonna happen, right? Right?" It was getting hard to justify her position, especially given the fact she was now up to her chin in ice, and a kid with a red patch was threatening to suffocate her.

As if that wasn't enough, a whole bunch more colourful characters joined the fun, including a little furry man that looked like a rabid cat who'd been dragged down a gutter backwards, and was now threatening to do horrible things to her insides unless she left. "I CAN'T go home, I'm frozen solid!" she cried. "Hades' teeth, aren't yordles supposed to be cute and fluffy or something?"

Up the other end of the street, a costumed Man-Spider entered the scene, and seconds later a trio of guardsmen came shoving their way through the crowd going "Step aside" and "Move along, citizens." Moonbow's face lit up at the sight.

"Oh, thank Artemis, law enforcement. Hey, spiders-guy, where've you been? Fellow vigilante here, tailing a wanted criminal, and now this gang of hoodlums' threatening to suffocate me in an ice cube!"

Upstairs Inn

"After all, you'll need quite a few people to carry whatever it is we're going after, correct, Miss Christie? Even if our Captain here is quite the prodigy in the 'lifting' department."

"Well, I suppose so," said Christie, still not entirely trusting of Mollymauk, "But I also agree that you may draw attention to us, disguise or not. If you don't mind, um, keeping a few feet away as we go, you could still throw a distraction if needed, and help with any heavy lifting once we have the things-" She blinked. "Oh. I said 'once', not 'if'... I think I might be feeling optimistic after all!" She smiled brightly at the group as a whole. "Thank you all for your support. For this, I shall be following your lead."

An hour or two later...

If one was looking for a pawnshop in Gdonya, they were bound to find one with the name Langobard hanging over the window. A family from the lands around Provino owned shops and stalls in strategic spots scattered all across the city, dealing in pawnbroking, trinket repair, and cash for solid gold. Sometimes another surname shared the sign, sometimes even took top billing, but inevitably the name Langobard stood out. The closest such shop was an eight minute walk, fifteen minutes from the Long Market. On the opposite side of a busy stretch of the main road, almost invisible unless you were looking for it, was a tiny little thatched-roof shop with a green-painted sign saying Langobard, and hanging above the door was the customary symbol of three golden balls hanging from a single bar.

Inside the dimly lit abode, sat behind a desk, there was a portly man with a grey moustache dressed in red robes and cap, currently using a set of scales to count up his coins, Behind him were tables of old books, antique teapots, little amber rocks and more. A few items of much larger size were sat beside, covered by cloth.

Peter paused. A fellow vigilante? Has his accomplishments finally gained him a modicum of praise throughout the lands? Or maybe he gave off the air of do-goodery?

Whatever the reason, Peter wasn't going to let the recognition slide. With a quick webbing up the side of the building, he ended up right beside Moonbow, and all her threatening captors.

"Let's ease up a little, yeah? No need to, uh, freeze her over, is there?"

Long Market Roof

Before Moonbow could even respond to Shoto's threat, Caitlin suddenly tried to undercut it by convincing him not to kill her. He couldn't help but gape at her slightly when she did. He just wanted her to surrender, why was she making it so much more difficult?

The next thing he knew, people kept just... appearing. The yordle from before kept yelling about how he owned the place, and someone came to pull Caitlin away.

When she gestured for him to follow, he of course scowled slightly. He was trying to get the crazy woman to the guards, why was that suddenly becoming so difficult?

It didn't help that another hero showed up, the kind who wouldn't have looked out of place back at Musutafu. Wait, was he from there?

Briefly, Shoto panicked, even if he kept his expression blank. No, he couldn't be, if he was willing to be called a vigilante in broad daylight. That wasn't acceptable in Musutafu.

Finally, he had the chance to defend his actions when the Spider-hero tried to get him to back off.

"I'll 'ease up' when she agrees to come with me to the guards," he retorted, "do you think I'm just threatening to kill her and that's it? If she cooperates, then I'll unfreeze her." The frustration he was feeling was starting to manifest on the left side of his face. His mouth was starting to be pulled back in a grin, and his ear was starting to become sharper.

Green Sailor Inn Akane’s Room

Excitement curled at the edges of Akane’s mouth like drifting smoke, even while her face settled into shadow while she pulled Christie in close and fell underneath the brim of her former hat. “It’s decided then!” Akane said, affectionately pressing her shoulder against the merchant’s before flinging one arm out toward the pirate in the room. “Miss Tetra will use her contacts to find the pawnbroker those nasty Syrup pirates sold to, and Miss Christie will ask them about the secret details of her cargo—for the king’s eyes only! Lips, sealed!” Akane went through the motions of locking her mouth and throwing away the key, but as she cast the imaginary object in Molly’s direction, she rolled her eyes in a playful fashion even as her eyelashes glittered with bite. “And of course, our beloved Mr. Follyfawn will serve as our pack ox! He certainly has the look down~.” Despite her light-hearted cadence, the delivery wasn’t quite right to come off entirely as a joke, even as she leered jeeringly at the horns atop the man’s head. As her eyes trailed down to linger on his slight cheek wounds, her smile flickered, faded, and failed, before igniting once more in resignation. “But if you’ll excuse me, I really must get to packing. I’m afraid I won’t have this room for very much longer!” And whose fault is that? Her mouth didn’t say, but her eyes did, attempting to find Molly’s even as she attempted to gently push Christie towards the door. “If you’ll all just wait in the hallway, Christie can come back in and change fully into her new outfit once I’m done~.”

Closing the door, Akane let out a sigh, hoping that promise would at least keep them from outright ditching her whilst she gathered up all of her worldly possessions. Rolling up her torn sleeves, folding up her crinkled map, and depositing the latter back into the sheaf of papers from which she’d gotten them from, she dragged the pack over to her crafting table before she got to the business of filling it. Detail blades; unused clay material; even bright jars of multicolored ochre, for what creations she intended to color and sell, were all slotted into their appropriate slots in her pack, jostling against her dried rations and water that she kept in the pocket just adjacent. The third, and largest pocket, remained empty. As soon as the top of her desk was barren, save for a few stray stains and errant splotches of dust, she carefully extended her hands toward Ghoulgilas’s covered form, gently removing the cloth and setting it aside. Reaching out with both hands, she traced her fingertips tenderly over the curves and whorls of his sides, closing her eyes and willing herself to remember every initial stroke of the knife that had brought this shape into being. Soon. She promised, silently, to an audience of only the two kaiju on the ground behind her, with their heads craned back as though they were watching her. I will fulfill the promise that I made on that day. Everyone will know Alexis, the way I know him. Taking the cloth, folding it, and placing it within her pack, she drew out another sheet to replace it, a plush, dense animal hide that she gingerly wrapped around Ghoulgilas’s irregular shape, ensuring that it would be safe from jarring or jostling before picking up the bulky mass and slotting it into the largest pocket of her pack, safe in its isolation.

One way, or another~.

Akane pushed her way into the shop using her foot, squinting the spots out of her eyes as she went from the brightness of the outside without the protection of her hat to the comparatively dim interior of the shop. She kneeled down, letting Utsumi and Rikka down to the floor, before shaking out her arms and the gentle ache that had accumulated whilst carrying them through the market square. “Alright,” she would murmur to Tetra and Christie, managing to pick through the gloom at the various wares and the portly man behind the counter, “try and follow my lead. We’ll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar." Glancing in Molly’s direction, she merely said “Just try not to break anything."

She strolled past the assorted shelves, keeping an eye out for a specific design—before forcing her eyes to widen in excitement, and practically surging forward to grab hold of a teapot with Meropian markings, and all but cradling it against her body. “Oh my gosh, I’ve been looking all over for this! It’s been so long since I had something to remind me of home~."

Green Sailor Inn, Akane's Room

"Distracting is certainly the word I'd use for you." Tetra snipped back to Molly, the curl of a smile edging up her face as she dutifully made her way out of the room. And then she continued down the corridor, in defiance of Akane's command, one hand coming up to gesture back to Mollymauk.

"Keep the women and yourself entertained while I dig out what I can find about our potential buyer." The waft of lemon returned as she turned into the stairway and took her first step down... and then popped her head back into the corridor, just for a second, to smirk at the two figures outside Akane's room. "Don't go getting yourselves booted now!"

"Syrup's crew?" The calloused tips of Senza's right hand disappeared into his beard as he mulled the question over. Besides him, Gonzo kept a half-eye on the alleyway's entrance, their combined bulk keeping Tetra hidden from any prying eyes (who may otherwise be curious to know why a young girl was sequestered away with two older men). "Aye, Zuko mentioned that their ship had come in, but ain't none of us seen them about."

"No news around the brokers, either?" Tetra asked.

"Nothing that pricked my ears. Though..." Senza contemplated a second more, then nodded to himself, his arm coming down to cross over the other. "Someone looking for a broker that'll slip under sight without ripping 'em off? Langobard's would be my first bet. The one in-land, not cuddling the docks."

Guess that was her starting point, then. Tetra kicked off the wall and moved past the two, expecting the conversation to be done there.

As usual, she hadn't taken Gonzo into account. "Oi, oi, Miss Tetra!" he called, leaning down till he was almost half his height- and yet still not managing to reach her eyeline. "What's this about? We gonna have a problem with Syrup?"

"Maybe." she replied. "For now, I'm more interested in what they might've been pawning off."

"I'll come with you, yeah? Scare 'em a little if I have to..."

"I can do that fine myself, Gonzo!" Tetra snapped, angry more at his unsaid reasoning- with how much he tried to shadow her, it wasn't hard to guess at his true intention. "Besides, you two still have work to do. The rest of our cargo won't move itself."

"But, Miss Tetra-" For all he thought that she needed coddling, Gonzo sure was quick to hop back when she fixed him with an all-too-familiar glare. "I mean, yes, Miss Tetra!"

Gdonya, Langobard Pawn Shop

Tetra had taken point on the journey there, but deferred to Akane once they were within sight of the cosy little broker's. If they wanted to keep inconspicuous, then the last thing they needed was a young girl taking charge. She followed the others into the shop, immediately scouting about for how many people were inside, what the general atmosphere was like, and whether there was more than one clear exit.

Once done with that, she pattered along behind Akane, a single brow raising at the cleric's performance. Acting wasn't Tetra's biggest forte, but nevertheless... she tucked her weaponry a little further along her waist and then put on an expression of awe that, despite being typical of a child, didn't quite sit right on her face.

"Who could've imagined?" she exclaimed, pitching her voice up. "A Meropian teapot all the way out here? The merchants around here really do get around!"
