Opened. I lean toward 1.1 since it's less visually cluttered.
Fair point. I originally liked 1.2 more but coming back with fresher eyes I can agree with 1.1— and I'm certainly willing to fix up the text or outright remove it if it becomes an issue.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness1.1 take 2, with the text a bit more visible.
1.1 take 3, with text removed to the best of my ability:
If we go with that one, the caption may have to do some of the work. Finally there's:
1.1 take 4, with only the bottom panel's text removed: the caption will have the text that would've been there.

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness4.3.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Same tbh.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessNot really sure about the suggestions. Even though I am familiar with The Stanley Parable, the pic mostly relies on the text, which is, frankly, barely legible. And I doubt that people unfamiliar with the work would find it illustrative.
Spiral out, keep going.Eh, fair. I just couldn't think of a better way to illustrate it because it's an inherently context dependent trope. The game at least allows for some side-by-side comparison...but I'll agree the text dependency is an issue.

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI can barely read the text, it's non-illustrative without said text. (Not sure I'm understanding it, too — is the "lapse" the doors disappearing?)
Right; every game takes you to this hallway where the first choice is which door the player goes down. In this particular ending, the plot gets "lost" so things start changing- starting with the door room being different.
I'll admit it's not a great illustration if people who don't know the game won't get it.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAlright, came up with some other ideas.

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessClock is set. Crowner?
Sure, crowner.
I'd like to see if other people have suggestions, too, though.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessFor me, 11.2 is the only one where the two frames are similar enough to show that we're supposed to be looking at a different version of the same image.
11.2 happens to be my favorite, too.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI can live with 11.2.
Same.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
(Annoyed grunt)
I just spent way too long whipping up these two images to try and capture just some of the continuity lapses in The Stanley Parable. Thoughts? (captions are mostly just suggestions)
I know the text is a bit hard to read on the first one, but I did my best... and if you guys want me to try and make the text more legible, I'll keep on trying. (Or, we could just remove the text all together...)
