Oh, sorry, I meant I clicked "follow" on Suspiciously Apropos Music's related page, but it's part of the main trope page, so any changes to related won't bump the trope page on my watch list.
I'm going into the Related and removing misuse and commenting out ZCEs.
Quite a few examples just describe a song/piece of music. If there's no mention of a character listening to a concert or radio and hearing it, it's deleted.

The crowner wasn't called yet though. In fact, it wasn't even hooked by a mod.
I was too zealous. Currently:
1. Stick to current definition and remove all examples of matching lyrics on the soundtrack: 7 yays 0 nays
2. Stick to current definition and move all examples of matching lyrics on the soundtrack to a new trope page: 4 yays 0 nays
3. Expand this trope to include matching lyrics on the soundtrack: 0 yays 4 nays
Is 7 yes votes to 0 no votes enough to take action on the first option? Can we still holler the post with the crowner?
Crowner hooked.
It's been three months. Is it safe to call the crowner yet?
Hollered a mod to call the crowner.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessCalling for option #1.
So we just need to clean-up the misuse, then.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWhile cutting misuse, I also removed entries where characters choose their music, because that misses the "suspiciously" part.
The page has an "example" that begins, "If we're going to include soundtracks"... despite the description plainly saying the music has to be diegetic.

Checking in, as it's been a few months. How is the cleanup doing?
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWhoops. I think I finished up the wicks over the summer. Forgot to holler.
Okay, time to close, then.

What would be the best way to fix the page?
I hit the "follow" button, but I think I just followed the main page. Best I can do is record what the list looks like after cleanup on other pages and keep an eye on the number of wicks. (But I won't do anything yet, in case there's a decision to make matching soundtrack lyrics part of a new YMMV page. )
