Now now, no need for bumping this thread for its own sake.

Still, while I'm here, I'd like to take the time to say that I'll be working on a google doc for the world building thus far. I'll be updating the first post when it's ready, so prospective new players can peruse the current setting in greater depth.

EDIT: The document is now ready for viewing! Inside is most if not all of the world building goodies made public by myself and other players. More details shall be added as and when they're ready, usually once they are learned about in-game.

#79: Nov 12th 2019 at 4:28:19 PM

What's this? Spottedleaf signing up with another DC character? Only this time, she barely had to change anything about their Arrowverse self? Intriguing!

Name: Nyssa al Ghul. Known aliases include Nyssa Raatko.

Franchise: DC/Arrowverse

Age: 29.

Race: Human

Appearance: Heir to the Demon

Alignment: True Neutral

Class: Ranger/Assassin

Personality: For a trained killer and a daughter of one of the deadliest assassins in the world, Nyssa is surprisingly polite and can be quite affable, with perhaps even a touch of social awkwardness when placed in a peaceful situation. However, on the battlefield, she is a cold and capable killer. She is by no means a paragon of virtue, but she has a strong moral code and she sticks to it. Essentially, she’s a bundle of contradictions wrapped in an adorable but deadly package.

Skills: See powers/abilities.

Powers and Abilities: Nyssa has no superhuman abilities; however, she is in absolute peak human physical condition and is skilled with multiple weapons, including knives, swords, bows, and bo staves. She is also very well-versed in the knowledge of different poisons.

Equipment: A compound bow; a quiver with a reasonable stock of arrows; and a sword.

Background: Nyssa is one of two children of legendary assassin R’as al Ghul, the other being her sister Talia. She was raised in the league of assassins, trained to fight from a very young age.

In her mid-twenties, her father sent her to the island of Lian Yu, where she met and befriended Sara Lance. One thing led to another, and the two women fell for each other. Sara even joined the League, being trained as an assassin by them.

Eventually, however, word struck that Sara’s home village, Starling, located in Lekhitia, had been hit by a massive earthquake. Sara traveled home to check on her family (a sister, Laurel; her father, Quentin Larry; and mother, Dinah) and make sure they were safe. But she’s been gone far too long, and Nyssa has been sent to retrieve her...

Additional Notes: Her current goal is to track down Sara Lance and bring her back to the League by any means necessary. It should also be noted that Sara is the love of Nyssa’s life.

Okay. My second character.

  • Name: Ahzek Ahriman

  • Franchise: Warhammer 40,000

  • Age: Unknown - at least a millennium

  • Race: Human.... or at least, he once was. Jury's still out on if he still IS, though.

  • Appearance: Witness the Power of Chaos!

  • Alignment: Neutral Evil (in a Tragic Villain sort of way...)

  • Class: Sorcerer

  • Personality: Ahzek Ahriman is a man driven by remorse.... and yet by hope as well. He is a man seeking to atone for his mistakes... yet willing to spill innocent blood in order to do so. He is also a man hungry for knowledge, willing to seek it out no matter where it lies, nor how high the price might be.

  • Skills: See Powers/Abilities

  • Powers/Abilities: Ahzek is a formidable sorcerer, well versed in the ways of Chaos Magic. From simple doom bolts, to making his foes spontaneously combust, to creating portals to the spirit world that suck in whoever is unfortunate enough to be caught in their accretion disks, Ahriman is a master in the arts of chaotic sorcery.

  • Equipment: Enchanted armor, and the Staff of Ahriman, which lets him focus his magic powers, increasing their potency to well beyond what they'd normally be. Also, an Inferno Pistol, which fires Chaos-enchanted bolts of metal that burn their targets from the inside out.

  • Background: Ahzek Ahriman was once the head sorcerer in the Army of the now-destroyed Kingdom of Prospero. In fact, he was the second-in-command of the personal army of the Prince of Pospero, Magnus the Red - the Thousand Sons. For years, he faithfully served Prospero - not just the Kingdom's royal family, but the people as well, striving to help better their lives. However, the good times wouldn't last.

Upon the death of the King of Prospero, Prince Magnus naturally assumed the throne. And that was when the troubles began. Not with Magnus himself, for he proved to be a very wise ruler. But with the very land of Prospero itself. Earthquakes ravaged the land. Volcanoes erupted, spilling lava and ash everywhere. Tsunamis racked the coast. And fierce storms caused untold havoc across the countryside. It seemed as if nature itself had chosen to destroy the land and her people. Desperate to find a way to stop these catastrophes, Magnus sent out the Thousand Sons to look for anything or anyone who could help. It wasn't long before they found someone who claimed he could - a self-proclaimed prophet of the God of Chaos, Tzeentch. The prophet claimed that if the people of Prospero turned over to the worship of Tzeentch, he would calm the land. In desperation, Magnus, the Thousand Sons, and the people all abandoned their old gods, turning to the Changer of Ways.

It was a mistake they would all regret.

Almost instantly, mutations began spreading throughout the populace, with some even becoming hideous beastmen. Demons (or daemons - depends what Liz decides to go with) poured out from Tzeentch's realm, and Magnus himself was elevated to demonhood. But the natural disasters did not subside. If anything, they only became worse. Seeing what was happening to their Kingdom, Magnus, the Thousand Sons, and a handful of civilians managed to flee the chaos. And just in time, too, for a series of massive volcanic eruptions tore the very land of Prospero asunder, the once great kingdom sinking beneath the waves. As they watched in horror as their home was destroyed, the survivors of Prospero were struck by another tragedy - the mutations that had afflicted their homeland began to run rampant among them. Determined to find a cure, Ahriman used all his sorcerous knowledge to weave a great spell - the Rubric of Ahriman. If successful, this would cure all those afflicted by the mutations. It was then, that Ahriman would learn that a partial success can be even worse than a total failure.

The spell certainly cured the mutations... but only among those who already had magical abilities. The civilians who were afflicted by mutations were instantaneously vaporized by the spell. And those of the Thousand Sons who lacked the ability to wield magic suffered an even more horrific fate. Their flesh would be turned to dust, and they would be reduced to living skeletons, forever trapped in their armor. For this disaster, Magnus the Red exiled Ahriman from the Thousand Sons. And in his exile, Ahriman would learn a horrifying truth - that Tzeentch had been the one who started the natural disasters that brought Prospero low, and that everything that had occurred since then had been part of the dark god's plan. Enraged, Ahriman turned his back on Tzeentch, coming to the conclusion that such a god was unworthy of worship, and declaring that he would overthrow Tzeentch. All according to Tzeentch's plan - for it is this rebeliousness that makes Tzeentch consider Ahriman his greatest champion. Still, Ahriman did not fall to despair. He continued searching for a cure for his brothers-in-arms. Anything that would let him undo what he had done to his comrades. His life extended by the unnatural sorcery, he has spent the past thousand years desperately searching for a cure. At times, he has come tantalizingly close, only for something to snatch it away at the last second. Still, he refuses to give up, and continues his quest to atone for his greatest sin.... no matter how much innocent blood he has to spill along the way.

  • Additional Notes: In addition to this, Ahriman also seeks the fabled "Black Library", which will give him the knowledge he needs to ascend to godhood, and deal with Tzeentch once and for all.

Oh? What’s this? A wild Deku has appeared!

  • Name: Izuku Midoriya

  • Franchise: Boku no Hero Academia

  • Age: 16

  • Appearance Broccoli!!!!

  • Alignment: Lawful Good

  • ’’’Class:’’’ Paladin

  • ’’’Personality:’’’ A very shy individual, Izuku is constantly overshadowed by other, more confident individuals. He has a tendency to be scared of most every threat because of his upbringing leading many to believe he is a coward. This perception could not be more wrong, as seeing someone innocent in danger will cause his heroic instinct to kick into gear, causing him to be determined to save whoever he sees in trouble.

His constant desire to assist leads Izuku to be quite reckless in his use of One For All, and, in result, the breaking of his limbs. Izuku will often rush into situations that he cannot win, solely to try to help someone who is in danger.

  • ‘’’Skills:’’’ Izuku is very intelligent, thus he can formulate strategies and understand things faster than most other people. Months of rigorous training have also helped him to be stronger than average so he could use One For All.

  • ‘’’Powers and Abilities:‘’’
    • ’’’One For All:’’’Izuku is the holder of the newest form of an extremely powerful magical ability called One For All. One For All is a unique enchantment passed from person to person, growing in strength with every switch. The enchantment itself is an incredible boost of strength in the preferred body part.
      • ’’’One For All:Mental Instability’’’The physical strain of the immense power of One For All is not the only price Izuku must pay for using it. In extreme bouts of emotion, his mind will suffer from the strain causing an alter ego by the name of Jack Midoriya.

  • ’’’Background:’’’ Raised in the mage-governed country of Musutafu, Izuku Midoriya was born without the ability to use magical abilities. Growing up he was mercilessly bullied by children with the ability to use magic, and he was isolated from the rest of the children by the schoolteachers who separated the magic users from the non-magic users. All this was constantly weighing down on poor Izuku until one fateful day. He was walking home after a particularly taxing school day, when suddenly Izuku was attacked by a monster made of sludge, boasting about how it was going to steal his body. All seemed lost, until the boy’s idol and number 1 mage, All Might, showed up last minute to save the day. After saving the young boy, All Might was in a hurry to get away, forcing Izuku to latch onto his leg as he jumped away. When All Might landed Izuku begged him to answer the question he had been waiting to hear his response to all of his life. Could he be a mage without the ability to use magic? Much to Izuku’s sorrow, All Might Said no and sent him off, crushing the boy’s spirits in the process. As Izuku walked home, his face reflecting his emotions, he heard screaming. He rushed to the source, and, much to his horror, saw one of his bullies being attacked by the very same monster that all might saved him from. Gathering up every ounce of courage he could muster, Izuku dashed towards the horrific sight, not knowing that a certain symbol of hope was watching. Trying desperately to save his childhood tormenter, Izuku soon found the attack to be directed to him as well, and almost died again that day. Then All Might finally stepped in, saving Izuku for the second time that day. Izuku left the seen after the town guards arrived, but was soon confronted by an inspired All Might who finally gave him the right answer to a question that he held forever. “Izuku Midoriya, you can be a mage!” And for the next ten months All Might trained him harshly to do just that. At the end of those ten months, All Might finally bestowed upon Izuku the enchantment of One For All. When he succeeded in the ritual, he trained Izuku for another month on how to properly use his newfound abilities, and sent him off on a horse, carrying a bag a money and a sword, telling him to make his own path to becoming a better mage then even All Might himself.

  • Name: Hinata Hyūga
  • Franchise: Naruto
  • Age: 13
  • Race: Human (Variant)
  • Appearance: 4'10" in height. Surprisingly defined musculature due to her intense training—not that it can be seen, as she's usually clothed in thick, baggy attire so as to disguise her form. Meek and hesitant demeanour; habit of staring at her feet and poking her fingers together while sheepish or stressed. Blushes easily. Despite her normally nonthreatening appearance (her blank whitish eyes sometimes put across the assumption that she's blind) she can become quite threatening when her Byakugan is activated—to which veins will pop from beneath and around her eyelids and cause tiny, unsettling pupils to become superjacent in the centres of her eyes.
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Class: Monk. Fights at close range, targeting pressure points in a quick and nimble fashion. Primarily aims to stagger or injure to a minor extent rather than outright kill, but depending on circumstance she may push herself into more lethal parameters (albeit with some reluctance).
  • Personality: A gentle, kindhearted, yet extremely shy and self-conscious individual. Due to her upbringing and the extreme pressures put on her from a young age, Hinata has grown up with little to no confidence in herself and (at the very least) a strong sense of politeness towards others—and even though the somewhat twisted morals of her homeland have threatened to make her cynical, she still manages to be unrelentingly kind towards people even if it ends up being at a detriment to herself. Disliking violence and confrontation (she even hates being confrontational about how she dislikes confrontation), Hinata is hesitant when it comes to the idea of hurting others even in self-defense, and this is reflected in her poor form that only seems to solidify in truly dire circumstances. While her overwhelming kindness has rendered her own opinions obsolete to herself, it has ended up making Hinata more perceptive of things—and she certainly shows much room to grow. Now that she's separated from her clan, it may be the exact kind of break she needs to gain a new outlook on herself and her life.
  • Skills:
    • Taijutsu: Assisted by her Byakugan, Hinata is proficient (though not exceptional) in her family's combat style known as the Gentle Fist—a style focused on rapid and precise (though as the name would suggest, not necessarily powerful) strikes to specific points in the body in order to forcibly inject damaging amounts of chakra into the opponent of the Hyūga in question. Even with the force of a gentle tap Hinata can cause internal ruptures to her enemy's organs and blood vessels, and if they happen to have chakra pathways as an addition she can forcefully clog them up and render them unable to gather chakra for the duration of a battle. Hinata's combat skills are still being worked on, but are more than enough to take down common or otherwise unskilled opponents—those actually proficient or wise in combat themselves may spot several flaws in her manoeuvres and stance (primarily due to lack of confidence on her part). Despite the somewhat ironic naming convention, the Gentle Fist is arguably one of the most dangerous combat styles possibly even outside Hinata's homeland—naturally, if she can become properly skilled in it in the meantime.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Chakra Moulding: Utilizing the natural energies produced by her body's innate chakra systems, Hinata can bolster her attacks and physical abilities by directing and forming her chakra either into or outside specific points in her body. It is this innate energy that she can so lethally inject into her opponents, though she has a limited amount at a given time, as it is intrinsically tied to her stamina and overall life force (this can regenerate with sufficient rest or with ingestion of a soldier pill). It is also with chakra that she can activate her family's bloodline ability—pushing the energy up to her eyes so as to bolster their capabilities as Byakugan. Additionally, she can infuse chakra into the soles of her feet so as to scale walls or uneven surfaces (including water) as easily as one walks down the street. Due to her family's practices, Hinata currently only knows the three mandatory ninjutsu required to pass the Academy tests: illusory cloning (to a maximum of two intangible duplicates), physical transformation (into the shape of any object/person she has prolonged physical contact with) and body replacement (rapidly swapping places with a nearby object to avoid injury). Hinata's fairly limited chakra and relative inexperience with using these techniques means she burns out extremely quickly after using them, however.
    • Byakugan: The bloodline ability of the Hyūga, which allows them to access nigh-360 degree vision (barring a single degree on the back of their neck—which broadens considerably into a large cone at a distance), the ability to focus through solid walls (which also renders blinding effects ineffective), the ability to magnify tremendously on distant targets (up to a maximum of 1 kilometre while focusing, in Hinata's case), and even prove useful in reading the moves of their opponents (albeit with absolute concentration on every part of their body—any distractions could interrupt her flow, so to speak). Hinata can also see the internal flow of chakra within her opponents with this bloodline ability, which is how the Hyūga target pressure points in the first place—though if those outside her homeland lack these chakra systems then she may find herself at a disadvantage. Hinata is still refining her skills with the Byakugan, and excessive use of it may fatigue her tremendously—by Hyūga standards, she's actually rather lacking in ability with it. Still, her enhanced perception is incredibly useful for scouting, tracking, and even in fighting, so the Byakugan's reputation as one of the Three Great Dōjutsu (Eye Techniques) isn't exactly being tarnished with her very existence.
  • Equipment:
    • Rations: A still partially full pack of basic travel amenities and food items that were meant to be used in her original mission. Inside this pack (which is kept hidden in multiple pouches within the lining of her jacket) are tools meant for general survival such as compact camping equipment, dried or sealed meals and protein sticks, and a handful of military ration pills—which when ingested enable a ninja to continue without rest for three days and three nights straight (although at the cost of them being immediately hit with tremendous and proportionate exhaustion by the time the effects wear off). Hinata also carries several kunai to serve as either additional weapons or as distractions, as well as a few spools of flexible steel cable (ninja wire) for use in restraining tough opponents.
  • Background: Born to the prestigious Hyūga Clan in Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf Village) within Meropis, Hinata had tremendous expectations placed on her practically from the moment of her birth. Due to her father being the head of the clan, Hinata was expected to become the powerful heiress to follow him—an embodiment of the clan's strength and traditions that the kind and gentle Hinata simply was not able to keep up with. Despite her status as a disappointment (with her eventually being disinherited after losing a fight with her younger sister), Hinata was eventually placed on a relatively high-rank, out-of-country diplomatic mission along with several other members of her clan. Unfortunately—whether it be due to simple fluke, a hushed conspiracy to rid her from the clan or a genuine mistake on her or someone else's part, Hinata found herself separated from her group whilst in Lekhitia, and is currently stranded with no knowledge of her clan's current whereabouts or even if they're looking for her. Now wandering aimlessly, Hinata is trying desperately to hold onto her hopes and keep herself safe and hidden away from unwanted eyes—but the clawing sense of vulnerability is beginning to get to her, and without the comfort of her clan her inexperienced nature means she might be in more danger than she initially anticipated herself to be...
  • Additional Notes:
    • Her favourite foods are zenzai (red bean soup) and cinnamon rolls; by comparison she dislikes seafood such as crab, eel or shrimp.

Name: Jennifer Walters/Jenn The Wall/The Greenskin

Franchise: Marvel Comics

Age: 23

Race: Human/Other

Appearance: Here you go!

Alignment: Lawful Good

Class: Barbarian

Personality: Jen is a fun-loving and rather hedonistic young woman who takes a great deal of enjoyment from her freedom to see the world and right wrongs. Given that she was somewhat quiet and retiring beforehand, some might suggest her transformation has less altered her personality than just let her loose. Jenn still tries to use her former profession as an initiate of the Green Banner to uphold the law, but now she can do so in a much more direct manner. She’s also started to demonstrate a real love of battle…a fact that doesn’t seem to faze her. All of that being said, if she witnesses real injustice, Jenn will get angry, and you wouldn’t like her when she sees real injustice.

Skills: Jenn was trained as a Cleric, but she’s out of practice (that and her new form seems to interfere with her use of magic, a fact she suspects). Her skills as a fighter are much more developed, and Jenn has a talent for using virtually anything as a weapon, or even (and preferably) a bare-knuckle brawl. Fighting dirty is something she enjoys. A skilled bluffer and negotiator when the time comes for it (she especially will take any opportunity to play “dumb brute”). Jenn’s Clerical past also gives her the ability to read and recognize most magic, even if she can’t use it herself.

Powers and Abilities: Jenn is frighteningly strong and durable, able to shrug off a great deal of damage and deal terrible punishment to her enemies with just her bare hands (basically it’s as if she’s wearing a suit of heavy plate armor all the time). In addition, she seems to recover from injuries more quickly than a normal human (given time to rest). On the other hand, fire and acid will harm her as easily and as badly as anyone else. Animals don’t seem to like her scent, either, and will usually flee or fight unless they are used to it.

Background: A quiet and bookish girl, Jen was mostly raised by her cousin Bruce who she considered to be a brother. Her parents were traveling Clerics with the Emerald Temple on the island of Panchaia, and they had decided that taking a child on their journey would be just too dangerous. While Jen was saddened that they left her, she understood their choice, especially since many of the Temple members had been scarred and badly injured on their own trips. The young girl soon took to the study of their branch of magic like a fish to water, and while she did receive the standard defense training of all initiates (and did reasonably well) it was in the area of granting mystical powers and defenses to others and summoning where her gifts were apparent. Bruce was likewise quite gifted, though he was more engrossed in the philosophical aspects of magic.

In her 18th year, the Temple entered into open conflict with the Modok Cult, a rival practitioner of magic and the semi-secret militant branch of the Hydra Brotherhood. The cultists attacked Emerald followers on their missions and during charitable events, and though their grasp of magic was far weaker than that of their enemies, several Emerald clerics were seriously wounded due to the Modoks’ reliance on fire spells and overwhelming numbers of hired muscle. Jenn and Bruce only saw the damage secondhand, but they were still shaken by the violence.

Each of them vowed to redouble their studies in order to contribute to the Temple’s defense. Each attack became more brazen, and the elders of the Temple began to privately investigate other ways of defending themselves, such as an increased reliance on summoned protectors. This was an area of magic they had not previously investigated to any great extent, seeing it as a slippery slope to losing their physical link to the world and sense of responsibility for the proper use of magic.

Matters came to a head when she reached the age of 20. Many Temples had been harassed and damaged. The Hydra Brotherhood professed all ignorance of the attacks, and while they quickly moved to occupy the abandoned structures, promises were made that they would be repaired and returned to the Temple as soon as possible. Bruce was deeply involved in his studies with the elders to bring forth some sort of powerful champion for the Temple, while Jenn devoted herself to learning the intricacies of imbuing others with increased strength, and speed.

The very night of the final summoning ceremony, disaster struck. Tarleton, a fellow cleric with whom both Jenn and Bruce had roomed and bonded, opened the servant’s entrance to Modok killers. The cultists ran amok once inside, smashing enchanted items and butchering any Emerald followers they met, from the young initiates to elder Clerics caught unaware. While the alarms began to ring and a counterattack began, several of the thugs reached the inner chamber where Bruce was helping with the ritual. As it was already in progress the elders could not strike back, and it was only the arrival of Jenn and a squad of veteran fighters who managed to turn the tide. Sadly Jenn was badly hurt in the fracas. Seeing her fall caused Bruces’ concentration to slip, and instead of the heroic spirit they had been contacting something…else…began to emerge.

The head of the order also came to the rescue and was able to trap the unknown being before it fully came into our world. Bruce, however, was terrified at realizing that the Temple’s healers might not reach them in time and wrenched control of the spirit from his master. He then somehow managed to merge it with his dying cousin. Combined with her own powerful magic, the result was that Jenn recovered from her injuries almost instantly and was able to repulse the few invaders remaining on her own.

When the dust had settled and she'd come to realize what had happened Jenn was simultaneously horrified and elated. She’d long wanted a way to strike back directly at their enemies, and this new strength seemed to be just the answer to her prayers. The inhuman aspect of her new form gave her fellow Emerald clerics pause, however, and it hurt her feelings to be held at arm’s length by her adopted family. Even the Master shunned her and accused Jenn of disrupting his life’s work. He told her that her new body was a punishment for her interference. Though she knew he was wrong and simply lashing out, Jenn knocked him down and began to pack her few belongings in preparation for leaving the Temple grounds.

Bruce caught up to her in her room and comforted the confused young woman. “Your green skin is a clear sign that this was an ordained happening. Devotion to our cause led you to this path. I can think of no clearer path for you than to go forward and fight in our name. Too many of our brothers and sisters have died. Now is the time for you to take the fight to them!” He cautioned Jenn that her appearance would cause rumor to spread quickly, however, and suggested that she leave the city and temporarily cast aside any connection to the Temple. Her cousin also assured her that they would devote all of their time and energy to finding a way to reverse the spell. Bolstered by her words, Jenn set out on her travels, using that same servant’s entrance to slip out of her home.

Three years later Jenn still thinks of the Temple and her family there occasionally, but her new occupation as a fighter and hired muscle takes up much of her time. What hasn’t changed is her hostility towards the Modok Cult, and a “monstrous” figure has been blamed for the destruction of several buildings across the whole of Atlantis said to be owned by the Hydra Brotherhood.

I suppose I could've held off on that until both signups were complete, but darnit, this is too exciting.

Just a question real quick: does our character have to originate from a franchise?

In other words, you can't just make a character up. They have to come from pre-existing fiction.

Signup for Team B. It's my intent that Jibril will be summoned by Ahriman after approval (to which we can do at an appropriate time). Bound to her master, she will have to follow any orders they give.

Name: Jibril

Franchise: No Game No Life

Age: 19

Race: Flügel

Appearance: https://imgur.com/a/hXrOOMe Although not reflected in pictures or the anime, her hair is prism-like and shifts colors.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Class: Imperfect Angel

Personality: As an angel of the god of war, Jibril delights in the discovery of knowledge and the killing of others, particularly when the thing in question is rare or challenging. She is unwaveringly faithful to her creator Artosh and the purpose of her existence is to further his goal to become a God above Gods. She respects other Flügel as her peers and respects other entities of great power, such as other deities and their direct agents. However, she looks down upon other lesser beings and sees them mostly as playthings to be used for her amusement.

Jibril is a very curious person and with no experience with mortals beyond killing the ones she found in the heavens. She will sometimes just observe the interactions between others and ask incredibly personal questions or ask how they thought that exchange went, because she genuinely wants to know.

Skills:

  • Many Tongues - With what she has available in the heavens, Jibril has learned the spoken and written languages of all but the most secretive/obscure races.

Powers and Abilities:

  • Bound Angel - Jibril has bound herself to a master in the mortal realm. In doing so, she has incarnated a portion of her true self in the world limiting her power on this plane. Her divine nature makes her a powerful opponent. She can effortlessly fly through the sky at the speed of a horse and it takes an impact capable of damaging rocks to injure her while she can crush rocks with her bare hands. She also has some resistance to direct magic. She does not need to eat or sleep, her body is maintained naturally by her connection to her god, though she can eat.

  • Divine Magic - Jibril has a substantial but limited amount of divine power which takes a day to recover if exhausted completely. All of her abilities beyond her basic specs require using it, and her body will naturally, slowly regenerate by exhausting it. Note that her divine power is mainly stored in her wings, and losing her wings would drastically weaken her and make it take longer to regain her divine power (also meaning they take a long time to regenerate and she'll not have divine power to use while waiting for the regeneration of her wings).

  • Enhancement - Jibril can temporarily boost, one at a time, her strength, speed, or toughness/magic resistance by spending her power. Increasing her magic resistance can dispel magical effects already on her.

  • Divine Bolt - Jibril focuses her energy to one or more points just beyond her body, typically her hand or wings, and fires it at the speed of the fastest arrows. As divine power, the damage caused can disrupt the magical energies of enchanted objects and enough of it in one burst may disenchant as a side effect.

  • War Scythe - Jibril can materialize a black scythe made of energy to use as a melee weapon. This combines the power of her magic with her impressive strength, however as of this time her skill at melee combat is pretty amateur relying on her brute strength and the fact that most weapons will be damaged by her divine power making it difficult to repeatedly parry.

  • Intellect - Though Jibril does not have significant magical knowledge, her divine power easily filters down to magical power and with her intelligence and perfect memory can learn to cast most forms of magic. She does know how to invoke two way telepathic communication as long as she can perceive her target (due to their connection, she can always perceive her master.)

  • Magic Sense - Through her eyes, magic is as visible as light and can typically see any living thing through the at least trace amounts of magic they have unless they have used stealth magic.

  • Amorphous Soul - Due to her nature, her body looks as it does because it is the form she believes herself to be. Should she truly believe her form to be different, it would automatically shift to accomdate. It would not be enough to merely want to look different, but she would have to change her own self-concept to willingly change forms. If something did manage to possess her or take over her mind, her body would naturally shift into the form that mind believes itself to be.

Equipment:

  • None.

Background: Jibril is currently the youngest Flügel in existence, only have been created 19 years ago. She was created by her god, Artosh the God of War, for a very specific reason. As the God of War, Artosh embodies the concepts of War and Strength. However, due to his knowledge of War and his perfect strength he is aware of a key weakness of his power, that as 'the strongest' he has a very difficult time getting stronger. Except for becoming the only God, he knows no other method to go higher. On top of that as the nature of war is that the strongest side isn't nessecarily the winner, he may well be defeated one day. Jibril was created to combat this weakness and created deliberately flawed. As an imperfect Angel she would be capable of growth.

Aware of her purpose, Jibril acted along with the rest of the Flügel, but unlike the rest she was capable of one thing. Change. As she battled, she could conceive of ways to utilize her power to its fullest. While not as strong as other Flügel, she easily outdid other Flügel because could act with reckless abandon such as exhausting her entire supply of power in one attack and using her power to temporarily increase her physical attributes.

One of the most challenging things she has fought was a mortal dragon who for whatever reason, she didn't care at the time to learn why, was wandering about the heavens. With this experience of a mortal strong enough to surpass Angels, she began an intense study of the mortal realm. However, books and knowledge of the mortal realm were difficult to obtain. Though she scoured the heavens in search of books to satisfy her curiosity, most of the knowledge was held by gods or other beings who were unwilling to share.

Unable to figure out the secrets behind the mortal realm, she sought and found a means with which to make contact with the mortal realm. Seeking mortals of substantial power, she would become their familiar and they would help her obtain knowledge. Her first contact failed though, turning her down almost immediately. Frustrated that she would be denied, she looked around for another and found someone already in the middle of a summoning of some kind. Since she wasn't exactly sure what to do, she pushed out her spirit towards the summoning in progress...

Name: Flügel

Territories: Avant Heim (An intelligent creature large enough to be considered a discrete world floating in the Heavens as a mobile fortress for the Flügel and their God; Avant Heim is willingly bound to the leader of the Flügel and worships Artosh as much as his direct creations do. It resembles a whale made of rock.)

Biology: Flügel are pretty much what most humanoids imagine when they think of Angels. They mostly appear to be beautiful humanoid women with long iridescent hair, and small tufts of hair in the place of ears. They also have a glowing halo hanging in the air above their head. A large group of Flügel contain enough power to slay a god.

Culture: Flügel exist to enact the will of their God. As such, they do war with the forces of other deities in the heavens with the goal of slaying all other gods.

Short History: Flügel history is painted across time with more bodies of angels from other gods than probably exist at the present time. Though powerful, only a few gods have actually left themselves open enough to be slain directly by Flügel without the direct assistance of Artosh.

If I have a psychic that uses a variety of psychic abilities, should I list them all?
