I'd agree; not a mandatory thing, but a short preface before the examples makes sense to me.

The anime and manga subpage
of Badass Adorable used to have an introduction about why this medium lends itself especially well to Badass Adorable characters. It's since been removed, but I'm not sure when or why.
More generally, should subpages have introductions by default or no? I'm thinking it'd be interesting to comment on how a medium does or doesn't correlate with a given trope, or in what way.
