"That, I know. It's not just every day some mega-corporation plops itself down in the city without a reason. And they even said it was a point-blank occupation. Like, the mask's off," Peter says, making a hand motion as if grabbing and pulling off a mask. "And what you're doing now, with the cameras, that's good enough for me to call you one."

{Thank you...Jack is searching for something. It's called a Vault, and if he finds it...nobody will be able to stop him. Not you, not me, not his board or his shareholders - nobody.}

Streets — Peter Parker

"Should probably get to higher ground..."

Peter takes one of the handles of his backpack, slings it off his shoulders, places it on the ground. He unzips the main compartment and puts a hand in, fishing around for something. "I do have a slight bit of experience with power-hungry CEOs, though, I don't know if it's on a scale like this."

He pulls out the suit's mask. "So what's in the vault? A nuke, a bioweapon, neurotoxin, what?" Peter asks as he pulls the mask over his face.

Streets

{Of that, I can't be certain. The first Vault contained a creature called 'The Destroyer,' and even after it died, the Vault's opening released a new element across the planet. That element is what turned Hyperion into what it is now. Opening a second - especially one Jack would have complete control over...}

Streets — Spider-Man

"Yeah, that's a 'no' from me." Peter zips the backpack up, then hoists it over his shoulders again. He turns towards the wall and puts his hands in it, starting to scale it. "So, like, how do you know all this? How far deep are you into their systems? Also I'd kind of like to know how you're even able to talk to me."

{I think Hyperion might suspect I'm looking into their data, but nothing they can trace...yet. I'll admit, talking to you like this isn't easy - without the cameras, I can't see where you are. I'm...slightly psychic. If you have a phone or something, we can communicate that way. Less...literal headache for me.}

Streets — Spider-Man

"Oh yeah, yeah of course. Do you like, need my number or something like that?" Peter asks as he completely scales the building. He turns such that he's sitting on the ledge.

{Yes that would be helpful. I...doubt you want me hacking into your cell phone. Not that I could, it's using a data plan from another universe and I...don't even want to try to figure out the logistics of how that would work.}

Rooftop — Spider-Man

"Say, you think we'll get hidden fees for interstellar communication or whatever? Anyway..."

Peter states his phone number, his voice hushed slightly.

Rooftop

{If we do, I'll just deduct them from a Hyperion corporate account. They'll never notice.}

"Wire fraud? Oh no, can't possibly look the other way for that. Especially for them..."

Rooftop

"Of course not. I'll update you on any information I find about the Vault. You...may want to put a team together, if you can find one. Hyperion isn't going to give up the Vault without a fight, friend.}

Rooftop — Spider-Man

"Hey, wait a minute, it'll be weird just calling you 'friend' all this time. What's your name? Or nickname, I don't care."

Rooftop

(Akebono's sitting at a bench, rubbing her temple as she looks at a laptop)

(looking at... this odd wireframe-ish diagram thingy smattered with illegible statistics)

(A pale, tubby young man with a mop of white hair that obscures his eyes is laying down on the bare-ass sidewalk... arranging acorns and snail shells. Hm!)
