Rooftop

"...You okay?"

Slade - Outside

   (As much as Slade wants to steal one of those crates, he doesn't want to cause a ruckus just yet. He'll wait until they conveniently enter an alleyway.)   

Rooftop — Spider-Man

"I — will be, soon."

Outside

-Oh hey, there they go-

Rooftop

"...Something wrong?"

Slade - Alleyway

   (Slade sneaks into the shadows and attempts to pilfer one of the crates while they're not looking.)   

Rooftop —Spider-Man

Peter perches next to her, turning his head towards her. He lifts his hand and grabs his mask, removing it. Though some color is returning to his face, he's still slightly pale. "I'm sorry. For all of it."

Outside

-The crate is relatively heavy and so makes a bit of sound when he moves it-

-And then the robots all turn to face him-

Rooftop

-She removes her own-

"It's okay. Wasn't you."

Slade - Alleyway

   (Slade throws down a smoke bomb and attempts to ditch the robots with his goodies.)   

   As they say in France, "Sayonara, my friends."   

Rooftop — Peter Parker

He shakes his head. "I thought I could use its power... no, I thought I needed it. Thought it could help me protect this place. And we both know what happened from there."

Alleyway

-The smoke bomb seems to throw off the robots...but a small group of flying ones cut off the end of the alleyway-

Rooftop

-She nods-

"Gone now."

Rooftop — Peter Parker

"Doesn't mean I didn't hurt you, or anyone else."

Peter puts his head in his hand. "I don't want that kind of power."

Slade - Alleyway

   Pesky robots... (the mark of Skath appears on Slade's forehead and he sends a burst of demonic fire at the flying robots)   

Outside

-The flying Surveyors project shields to block the flames as the walking Loaders open fire at Slade-

Rooftop

"...Sort of made you like Infinite."

Rooftop — Peter Parker

He nods.

"Still feeling that fall."

Rooftop

“Me too.”

Peter sighs, stays silent for a few seconds. "Before they passed, someone close to me said that great power comes with great responsibility, and, uh... I'd do well to remember that, once in a while."

Slade - Alleyway

   (Slade attempts to call his ally over with his phone) I need backup, my friend. (summons his electric bo staff and attempts to send an EMP through a mighty stab.)   

Alleyway

-One of the Surveyors has its shield knocked out by the EMP stab, though the Loaders continue firing...and a few more have been dropped in, including some new blue and white ones?-

Rooftop

"Mhm...still want to help you. What friends do."

Rooftop

Peter blinks. "I appreciate that. And I'll try — I'll try to follow that advice."

Rooftop

"...Have a saying you can follow, too."

Rooftop

"Hit me."

Rooftop

"'Don't be a big jerk.'"

-Oh hey, a rare smile from her-

Peter smiles back and says, " Ain't those words to live by."

Slade - Alleyway

   (Plenty of holes in appear in Slade's armor. This situation looks pretty bleak. How will Slade make it?!)   

(A helicopter shows up.)

   See you later. Remember. You've made an enemy of our group. (Slade drops the box and escapes. If it is opened, one of the items is missing.)   

Outside

-A voice comes through on the helicopter's radio-

"Oh no, trust me - we're gonna find you assholes. You're bandits, and I'm the goddamn hero."

-The voice cuts out after that-
