Don't really see why. People who didn't like Yotsuba period won't watch it, people who liked her but wanted her and Fuutarou's relationship to be fleshed out more will get their wish, and diehard fans will just be happy to get more of her. Kinda too-little-too-late for my tastes, but it's better than nothing.

To be honest, the manga did pull off some good moments and subversions and generally averted the Cannot Spit It Out pitfall often common in harem series, it is a good read overall.

I for one do like the idea of Yotsuba being further fleshed out, that's something we have been missing.

Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.They started the series, they gotta finish it. Don't know why people expected an anime original ending as opposed them adapting the whole thing.
I wonder how much they're going to cut; that's the caveat. A faithful adaptation might not make Yotsuba winning as believable like in the manga...but cutting out the other's screentime to focus on Yotsuba is going to annoy a lot of people.
But since Yotsuba IS the one Fuutarou chooses, this is a good opportunity to flesh out their dynamic more. And let's be honest, does anyone wanna see Mudou animated?

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. It's definitely cutting a lot of stuff for the sake of streamlining.
On one hand, that likely means the whole stuff with the Quint's biological dad will be cut, which good. The flipside is that probably everything not related to Yotsuba is going to be cut, which uh...is less than good.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well, I think the latter is important enough to be retained. The former, yeah, it should be cut with a plasma cutter...although in a worst case scenario they cut the latter and keep the former.
Surely no director is insane enough to do that. Right?

Does anyone actually read these? Not that there's much fallout to speak of, since we pretty much get a harem ending anyway.
Still, rereading the volumes recently (released up to no. 8 so far), it really confirmed that the parts about the sisters' relationship were more interesting than the romance parts to me.
@ dRoy
I mean, what other implication can you get from that ending? Yotsuba explicitly mentions how the others are going to join them in their honeymoon trip and the scene before you had all of the sisters in bride dresses.

And it deletes the Bromantic Foil from existence for good measure.
