Ezekiel keeps on the ship for now, still scanning the crowd for his contact. He's not spotting her...very strange, she's usually—
"Aha!" Pulling himself over the side of the ship, he climbs his way down the wooden walls before throwing himself onto the docks, scaring a couple passers-by as he does. Holding the hilt of his sword as he runs, a bespectacled, frazzly black-haired woman dressed in a marginally better managed naval uniform than Ezekiel's own comes into view.
"CHARMAINE," the raccoon calls out; the woman jumps up a little in response, her ears pricked at the sound of that vaguely familiar voice. Casually gazing about, she finally sees the definitely familiar raccoon privateer barrelling towards her, merely pushing up her glasses as if it were any other random moment of the day.
"Ezekiel," she says, flatly bemused as he slows to meet her, "never thought I'd see your mug 'round here again." Her eyes glide up to see the colors hoisted on the ship Ezekiel was presumably just running from. "Not without your countrymen, no less."
"Well, yes," he starts to explain, clasping his hands together, "this isn't my ship, I was, err, assisting a new crew of contractees while my own crew has been on holiday."
Kauri notices the Sharkazil following and promptly tries to keep his distance from it. Jogging over to Ezekiel and his contact, (Old Silver rustling along in its sheath,) he tugs on the raccoon man's sleeve and asks, "Mr. Ezekiel, who's this?"
(Ira looks back at the Sharkazil and back to Melvin.) Should we let it come with us or get it to stay on the ship?
"Whoa!" says Victor upon seeing the Sharkazil. "Who's this?"
"What is that?"
"That's a Sharkazil, I know all about the Sharkazil."
Oh, we found that fella on the ship when we were leaving Bouldarius. (Ira explains to Victor.) It's harmless, according to Ezekiel.
(Speaking of Ezekiel, Ira looks over in Ezekiel's direction and sees him speaking with a woman whom he guesses is Ezekiel's contact. Funny, he was half-expecting her to be a raccoon like Ezekiel.)

"This," Ezekiel answers as he pats Kauri's head, "is Charmaine Galt." Charmaine raises her brow a little upon seeing the child.
"I didn't know Trysing was contracting children," she muses, not terribly nonplussed by that particular notion.
"Oh, oh, that's—" Ezekiel laughs. "No, he was a rescue, as were a few others." Of course, being closer to Trysing that Charmaine ever would be, he knew quite well that signing children (usually older than Kauri and the like, but still) wasn't entirely uncommon a practice there.
"We've been keeping them with us until we reach the capital." The raccoon dons a cheeky grin. "Of course, if they feel so inclined, I'd be delighted to have them in our employ." Charmaine simply rolls her eyes as the joke, though evidently humorous to her, fails to land.
Melvin watches Ezekiel and Charmaine incredulously. He turns to Victor, or any fellow pirate nearby and whispers "I don't know about you, but I am not getting this. I am totally out of my element."
Sennen whispers back to Melvin.
"Eh, it's upper-class respectability bollocks. Trust me, I'm used to it."
"Heh, yeah... me too," Victor says to Melvin with a slight grin. He is a bit relieved to know that he's not the only one confused by what is going on. Still, he feels much more optimistic now that when they left Aetate.
Melvin smiles back, also comforted knowing he's not alone. He then realizes that Ira asked him something.
"Oh... I hadn't thought of that. I'm not sure what the people here'll think of this thing... they might want to hunt it. I would say leave it on the ship, but now I'm worried it won't even be safe there... I'll ask Ezekiel when he's done."
Oh, right, no problem, Melvin. (Ira nods. Then he remarks to both he and Victor:) Back in Scale Cove, we just said hello and asked how people were doing and if they needed anything...
(Behind everyone, the Sharkazil is curiously looking around its new surroundings and probably looking for food while at it.)

"Oh. N-Nice to meet you, Ms. Galt," Kauri says, bowing his head.
Charmaine looks down to the boy who so kindly addressed her. "Likewise," she replies, not smiling but looking less cross.
"That's Kauri," Ezekiel answers Charmaine before she can ask. She nods. "Kauri," she muses. "Rolls off the tongue well."
"Now Charmaine," the raccoon continues, "I didn't come by just for idle chat." Charmaine laughs in that "of course you didn't" sort of way. "We've had ships tailing us for days on end, none of them seemingly affiliated with one another...I believe they are mercenaries of some zeal."
"And what do you suppose I should do," Charmaine asks. "Prevent them passage or docking? I'll need to know what these ships of yours look like to do that."
"Ahh, yes, of course," Ezekiel replies. "I'll admit I wouldn't be able to supply a decent description of our pursuers. However, there are others on the ship with better eyes and clearer minds than I, and one I believe I can trust to provide you an adequate description of at least one of those dastard ships."
Looking over his shoulder, he notices those with Melvin watching him and Charmaine converse, Ira amongst them. "IRA," he calls out, beckoning the dragon over.
(Ira spins around upon hearing Ezekiel calling him and sees Ezekiel beckoning him over to he, Kauri, and the woman. He excuses himself from the others and hurries over to where the three of them are.)
Hello there, friend of Ezekielís! (He greets Charmaine before turning to Ezekiel.) So whatís going on?
"Fellow privateer," Ezekiel addresses Ira, the draw in his voice deliberately stronger as a bit of a clue to Ira to play along. "I'm asking for protection from our assailants, the mercenaries. As I understand, you know well the look of one of their ships."
Charmaine looks Ira over, somewhat baffled by the dragon's appearance, especially the tattoos. The tattoos all over his...
Snapping out of it, she quickly shifts her gaze up to meet the dragon's eyes. "So," she says expectantly.
(Ira is momentarily confused until he remembers what's going on and plays along.)
Oh yeah, you're going to know that ship when you see it. (Ira says.) Enormous ship. Gaudiest thing you've ever seen. Covered in gems and flowers colored every shade of pink, purple, and green you can imagine. You'd have to be trying not to see it.
Charmaine nods, trying to imagine the gaudy look of the ship herself, gaudier than the ones she sees everyday. "A ship like that, it's a wonder you forgot, Ezekiel."
"Oh, you know me," the raccoon replies, "head's getting foggy with age."
"And you said there were more ships," Charmaine interjects with not a smile but you'd swear she was. "You want to bring more of your crew to testify?"
"No," he answers, his memory jogged from Bouldaris, "I do believe the other ship what was chasing us was more haggard and utilitarian like our own, black sails with skulls."
Charmaine notes this as well, wondering if she'd heard a ship of that description before somewhere. "If that's all, I should be on my way. I'll report these ships to the senior docksman, and we'll have a blockade at the ready should they try to dock."
Good deal! (Ira says.) Thanks for the the help, ma'am!
"It's no problem," Charmaine says to Ira, trying to make sure she keeps eye contact with the dragon. After glancing down at Kauri, her frown crowing down a little, she walks off back to her station.
"...well, then," Ezekiel proclaims, "off to the bank?"
"Y-Yeah, I'm ready to go..." says Victor, looking at the building in the distance and wondering what awaited them there.
"Aye, I'm ready!"
I'm ready if you all are ready! (Ira says. He motions to the others who haven't already responded to come over their way.)
"I am also ready!" says Melvin, following Ira.
