As Ira goes down and makes an attempt to find some soup from below the deck Jerrid continues his path back down the ramp and makes it to the pier, where his attention immediately is centered on this newt and her whale shark friend.
So...uh, what're your names? What exactly do you need from us? Aside from the food you need, of course.
Kauri stares at the legged whale shark. "Woah."
Oh, my name is Estelle. (Esmeralda catches herself before she nearly gives out her real name. (Not that she expects the name to mean anything to anyone except for Ira, anyway).) You wouldn't mind if you fine folks could give me a lift back home whenever you have the chance, would you?
(Pablo just shrugs.) I'm Pablo. I'm just the one who brought her over here from that driftwood I found her on. I don't guess I really need anything except a point in the right direction. (Pablo looks down at himself as he swings his legs from side to side. He notices the boy looking at him and finds it a bit odd that he has horns, though he doesn't go out and say it.)

Sennen has vanished below deck to help find food, figuring that, big as Ira is, he might still need some help depending on how much they're giving the newcomers.
I don't see why we won't get you back to wherever you've gotta go. But if you're gonna fall in with us now, be careful, this island isn't exactly a tropical resort.
The wolf says, somewhat sarcastically but with a veil of truth hidden within.
Oh, thank you! ("Estelle" says. She looks at the island ahead of them.) What on earth are you doing at a place like this, anyway? (Esmeralda, of course, knows the reason why, but she can't let the Zenpence crew know that.)
(Back on the ship, Ira has gathered up some of the leftover tomato soup and notices Sennen.) Heya, Sennen! Think we should get something for that big fella, too?
"That's why I came down here, mate."
Sennen scours the available food, trying to work out what a whale shark might want to eat. They're filter feeders, aren't they? How much of this stuff is he even capable of eating?
Kauri lazily sits on the pier and yawns. Upon hearing the question, he mutters a response. "Eh..." He tried saying 'egg,' but was much to sleepy for it. He also can't stop staring at the whale thingy's legs. Kinda makes him think of Parada...
"Eh" what? ("Estelle" asks, looking at Kauri quizzically.)
(Pablo notices that the sleepy-looking boy hasn't stopped staring at him and sighs.) If you're wondering what happened to me, it's...uh...it's a long story. (Then he registers both "Estelle"'s question and the syllable Kauri said to her in response and takes a shot in the dark.) Hold it, you wouldn't happen to be trying to say "egg", are you?
Hmm... (Ira mutters, reaching for some fruit, but pausing before doing so.) Wait, whale sharks like that guy don't eat fruit, do they? There some way we can get him something he WILL eat?
Kauri quietly nods. "Egg..."

Ah, good, his thought processes are heading in the same direction as hers.
"What'd a filter feeder even be able to eat? Just the soup, maybe?"
The wolf's curiosity about these two is beginning to bubble up now, especially given the fact that they want to now know...about "egg", which Jerrid can only assume means...
Part of that egg we're looking for? Yeah, that's...pretty much the whole reason we're here. But it's not like we're gonna just walk right in and take it. The people who inhabit this island are more likely to kill on sight than they are just saying "oh, just take this thing we're guarding!"
(Pablo's enormous face lights up and he jumps to his feet.) So you're looking for the Legendary Egg? Is that what you're saying? (He asks.)
("Estelle", meanwhile, just stares into the island.) People actually live here? It looks abandoned to me.
Hmm, I'll get some more of the soup and see what he thinks. (Ira says, returning to the container of leftover soup.)
Sennen picks up a bunch of bananas.
"Sounds alright to me. And the newt? You think she'd be okay with bananas?"
"Oh, are ya looking for it, too...?" Kauri asks.
Yep. (Pablo nods.) I want to use it to reverse...this. (He gestures at himself.)
(Ira looks at the bananas and shrugs.) Probably wouldn't hurt to take 'em out there, too. (He says.) Think this'll be enough for them?

"I hope so."
Sennen turns to head above deck, but lingers a little to see if Ira will follow.
Hearing that makes Kauri think. Would he be able to use the egg to turn himself back to how he used to be? Without these horns?

Well, you can join us as we go along with getting this thing if you want. After we get it you can certainly use it to see if it helps you there, Pablo. Now...I think we've gotta get going.
Jerrid looks over at what lies past the pier and shudders.
Oh, thanks! (Pablo says.) I haven't been this happy since I found that huge field of plankton a few years ago.
(In the meantime, Ira goes above deck with Sennen with the tomato soup and moves down to join everyone else on the pier.)

Sennen has a large batch of bananas clutched in her hands. Presumably, Ira has brought up a container or two of the soup. On that note, as she approaches the two newcomers she asks Pablo:
"So! Yer a filter feeder, right? Here's hopin' you can eat blended soup."
Well, since there's more people coming along, an introduction is in order. The horned boy points at himself and simply says, "... Kauri."
My name is Estelle! ("Estelle" introduces herself, then hungrily grabs the bananas.) And thank you for the bananas! They're my favorite! (In reality, Esmeralda doesn't actually like bananas that much, but she IS genuinely exhausted and hungry after her long swim.)
Well...I suppose so. (Pablo says, taking the soup from Ira. He makes a strange face upon trying it, but he finishes it nonetheless.) That was certainly...different. Wasn't bad, though. Uh, anyway, my name is Pablo, I suppose.
Jerrid simply greets the newcomers.
Well....Estelle, Pablo, good to have you aboard. These guys are probably the closest thing you could get to having an outlet to fixing whatever problems you have with that egg.
He turns again and tries to start walking off of the pier and onto more solid ground.
Sennen turns to look at the desolate landscape of Klaer Island.
"So... we're goin' deeper in now, right? And are these two comin' with us?"
