After moments of indecision Jerrid starts to move carefully closer to the giant stone...thing and looks behind him at the others.

Alright, I think we should encircle him and if he starts attacking we can target him from every side. Ready?

"Sounds like a good plan," says Victor, feeling a bit nervous. Without any weapons or fighting abilities, there probably isn't much he can do against the monster, but maybe he can at least play some sort of supporting role to the others.

"We should move carefully and stay hidden behind the trees if we can," he adds, trying to keep his voice down. "We don't want him to see us before the others get back. Well, maybe he can't really see, but he can probably feel our presence somehow."

Kiosin Town

So... (Ira says, looking to Bright Eyes.) Did you see any places that could help us get through to the monster when you came through here?

"Wonder if Lexie's gonna be free after his shift today..."

Mikaela nodded and inched closer slowly, not picking her feet off the ground.

"Let's not get too close, I'd say we should still be far enough away that we have enough space to get a headstart running away if it wakes up" she said quietly to the others. "That should be our maximum."

Well, how are we gonna know if he can sense us? It's not like he can see through the trees....that's the first rule of hunting in our pack. Don't track a target you can't see. All we need to do is confirm its weak points and hope the others get back fast. Got it?

Jerrid creeps further ahead but keeps himself among the trees, not wanting to reveal their location nor blow this wide open. However, he looks back again at the others upon realizing this won't work much longer.

Wondering if we should just go at him now. What say you all?

He tries to grab a branch with his mouth and throw it into the clearing.

Petrified Forest

The branch lands in the clearing with a soft thunk, but that small disturbance actually causes a reaction!
A familiar, deep boom is heard, though it is significantly quieter than before. The rock is slowly coated in a translucent, scarlet aura.
It stays glowing like that before slowly fading away again after detecting no additional movement.

Kiosion Island - Village

"Didn't have too long to get acquainted 'fore the thing woke up," Bright Eyes replied. "Still, they must have some place where they get tools - either a forge of their own or a place to store imported ones - and that should get us the metal we need."

She looked around for a likely-looking townsperson and called out to them. "'Scuse me, mind tellin' me where you get your knives an' such? We're tryin' to save the island."

I like cute things. You gotta deal with it.

Town

The random passerby that was chosen stops in her tracks and looks at Bright Eyes with confusion.
"Save the-? Oh, are you going to check whatever made that noise earlier? Well, you can go to the general store over there." She points to a particular building. "Always got a couple weapons for self defense. Might have some other stuff that you can use."

Great! Thank you, ma'am! (Ira says. He starts to walk toward the general store.)

Bright Eyes nodded. "Thanks. We'll be sure to check it out."

As the group headed toward the general store, she whispered to Sennen, "Mind coverin' the costs? I'm a bit short on cash at the moment, an' I 'spect you're not too into stealin'."

Town

The general store is a store. A store filled with generally useful goods. The back wall is lined with shelves that hold a large assortment of items, such as bottles of oil, rope, and dynamite. There are also larger items hanging on the wall itself, such as weapons and tools. In fact, there are two pickaxes among such tools. All of the items have labels near each of them with a number printed on it.
Kauri enters the shop with everyone else and marvels at all the stuff they have. And between them and the assortment of wares is the shopkeeper standing behind a counter.
"Welcome! How can I help you?"

Huh...okay, guys, let's get something heavier. We've got to observe what he does with everything we can throw at him without getting out of this cover.

Jerrid finds a much larger branch and starts dragging it along with his mouth. However, he can't just simply fling it at the stone monster with his mouth.

Mmmphcanyoutakethismmph...

"A-all right," says Victor.

He takes the branch from Jerrid and looks in direction of the stone giant. "Well, here goes..."

Victor takes a deep breath and throws the branch towards the monster.
