The crescendo of barking slowly weakens to a mild growl as the wolf snaps back to himself as he shakes his head and takes a breath in.
I....I'm sorry for scaring you. When I get scared I uh...slip back into being my old self again. I don't know what that was but...let's just find someone else, yeah?
He nervously kicks off his hind legs and starts trying to move through the beach.
Parada looks very confused by this, but before she can say anything Kauri's already gone.
She lies back again and tries to get comfortable. Her tail was almost dry, but from the sounds of it the rain hasn't let up.. If it had, she might've wanted to follow after Kauri.
(The twins can hear the rumbling)
"Uh, what is that?"

Sennen's confusion-concern combination only grows at Jerrid's last statement.
"Your old self? You mean you weren't always..."
She pauses, waving her hand in a vague gesture as she mentally searches for the right word.
"Sapient, that's it! Are you sayin' you weren't always sapient?"
I....no. I was very much a feral wolf before I met this farmer...or something along those lines occured, where I ended up slowly learning your language.
Jerrid muses, thinking deep into his mind as he tries to lull the details of the day he met that farmer.
"How interesting..." says Melvin. "As far as I remember, I was always this way. Though I've always felt a little frazzled since the attack, so I could be wrong."
"Well, anyway, I'm glad you're sapient now."
Well, thanks, sir, but, you already were Sapient? Curious. Honestly, my memory of that whole situation with the farmer is still fogged. All I know is that he took me in during the days after I got shot...
He sighs as he strains his brain to figure out just how he began speaking human language before shaking his snout as he digs into the sand again and starting to sniff out ahead again. With the heavy rain having now stopped his sense of smell is picking up just ever so slightly.
Well, let's go. I hate my coat getting wet.
Bright Eyes quickly finished her drink and stood up. "Leave it to me, Walt," she said. "Not my first time dealin' with this kind of thing." She then strode out of the bar to find the crew again.
As soon as she spotted them, she gave a wave. "Good, you made it," she said. "Hope I didn't miss much. The good news is the town's relatively safe - we'll have plenty of warnin' 'fore that thing comes for us, at the least. The bad news is we'd better have a plan ready."
Heh, not really. (Ira says, lightly chuckling, he looks to the others.) So...uh, what do you guys think is the best way to approach a huge monster holding an Egg Shard?

What do we do? Hmm, I might have something.
The wolf turns to start cleaning himself as he thinks and as he continues to do so he tries, but doesn't think he'll succeed, in necessarily swaying the others to a plan of his....when he's just joined them.
Um....why don't we like, try to distract the monster from one side and the rest try to lunge at him...? Or, what if we have to come to him? Why did I just say that...

"I'm with Jerrid - distract it. Big equals slow, an' it usually means there isn't much brainpower up in the head, either. I doubt this thing could handle multiple distractions at once."

So who'd distract it and who'd go for the Shard? (Ira asks.)
Jerrid muses over the ideas presented.
I don't know. We might need two groups of us going at him. If he's in there waiting for us I don't think standing here will do us any good, would it?
He tries again to move on.

There is a path at the edge of the town leading further inland and, subsequently, towards their target. The path stretches through a decently sized expanse of open land before immediately diving into a forest. The volcano can be seen peeking over from behind the forest as well.
Jerrid simply marches on once the path becomes clear.
Mikaela gazes at the scenery, most notably the distant volcano. She looks to the rest of the group before she advances on as well, her hand cautiously over her blade's hilt.
(Ira starts forward as well, still wondering what he in particular will do once they find the monster.)
Sennen notices the path just as she's about to answer Ira. She also notices everyone is already heading down it.
"Well, guess we'll have to decide that when we get there!"
She briskly sets off to keep up with the rest.
The group will probably hear the pattering of bare feet against ground as Parada runs towards them. No longer deterred by the rain, it seems she pretty quickly figured out where the group was and rushed to join them.
A few townspeople notice the strange, barefooted girl come down the ship and trot her way to those other newcomers. What a peculiar bunch they all are… Kauri, sticking in the back of the group, quickly notices Parada coming towards them. "Parada, you're-!" He would have said 'back to normal' had he not caught himself and remembered his promise. "Y-You're okay."
Okay? Did something happen on the ship?
The wolf asks, rather inquisitive. Of course, he's not necessarily trying to pry, working on the fact that he hadn't even seen Parada to this point.
"A-Ah…" Kauri stutters, trying to formulate an excuse. "Sh-She was just… afraid of the thunder earlier."
Fair, fair. I was scared of Thunder for the longest time, you know...let's keep going.
Jerrid brushes his already low enough suspicions and simply continues forth.
