I'm fine with either Trivia or JFF.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportYeah, this seems like two things in one.
On the one hand, it seems like a subtrope of Life Imitates Art and a sister trope to Defictionalization (which specifically concerns products and other items). If we do make this a trivia item and a subtrope to Life Imitates Art, then I suggest we make it specifically about philosophies and groups that become defictionalized.
On the other hand, however, it does look like tropers had a bit too much fun with this page, making up "Tropology," "Straw Hatism," and "Zombism." Wherever the entry is just a one-liner of a "philosophy" or "perspective," I think we can reasonably agree that it's not defictionalized but rather just a troper or two having fun.
As such, I suggest we do both. That is, split off the fun stuff to JustForFun.Defictionalized Religion and keep the serious stuff that can be corroborated at Main.Intellectual Property Religion.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyI'd be fine with that; those two solutions aren't mutually exclusive.
It should still be moved to the Trivia namespace though. It's not a storytelling trope that exists within the work itself, but an interesting piece of Trivia about something that certain especially... dedicated... fans have done in response to the work.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI'm voting for moving humorous examples to JFF and legitimate examples to Trivia, the latter assuming there are enough examples to warrant their own entry. If not, move those to JFF too.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Well, looks safe to call. Commence the move.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportMoved to Just for Fun, all the wicks deleted or changed to the new namespace. Easy-peasy.
Interestingly, this was already on the JFF index. It seems like people have already been assuming this was a JFF thing for a while.
Motion to close?

Then again, we might as well just Cut List the Main redirect.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Go ahead with the cutlist if you haven't already, as the disambiguator can pick it up.
Other than that, we're done. Closing.

Crown Description:
"Move to trivia" and "move to Just For Fun" are not mutually exclusive.
This strikes me as a Just for Fun page or, at most, a Trivia page masquerading as a trope. It purports to be about works of fiction that have spawned a real-world religion, and the example list starts off that way, with the first few entries (although plagued by bad Example Indentation and general natter-ificness) including links to external sites that, with varying degrees of seriousness, purport to build religions around such things as Jedi-ism.
But the farther one scrolls down the page, the more strongly one suspects that most of the "examples" were tossed together by one person in an afternoon.
