I'm frustrated because I thought of a good image for this trope earlier, but forgot what it was once I realized it already had an image.

Keet cleanupI like the Bambi one, the blue eyes really pop and he's a fawn which helps prove the innocence factor.
EDIT: NVM, just looked at the 12, it seems more illustrative.
The girl's shortness and posture helps selling the "innocent" bit.

Spiral out, keep going.Well, there's more where that came from. If there's any fiction known for emphasis on characters' eyes, and variety in the colours thereof, it's anime. (Well, that and MLP:FIM... which is kind of animesque anyway.)
My familiarity with anime is mostly from out of context clips, but I've little doubt juxtaposing innocent-blue with less-innocent-non-blue will be easy if we all think of characters and eye colours from the anime we know.
EDIT: Speaking of MLP:FIM...

Only in the last two images are the eyes even really visible enough to see their color, and I only noticed eye-color because I was looking for it.
For the record, I'm still voting for Faline.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall![]()
Define "looking for it." Please include in your definition whether or not you think people who click on a trope about eye colour are going to be "looking for it," and why or why not.
I'm not saying my own are necessarily the best options for the page either, just a step above showing innocent blue eyes without "as opposed to what" for comparison.
There's a difference between "picture of a blue-eyed person works in the context of the page" and "the colored part of the iris on the pic is two pixels wide".
Also, Pinkie Pie only looks somewhat innocent on the first pic, she's looks more confused on the rest of them. Both of 16 and 4.2 are more illustrative than that.

The post
explained it pretty well. Someone shouldn't have to stare at an image to see which character has blue eyes and how the trope is at play. I'm not saying Pinkie isn't an example, but the images chosen here don't do a good job representing the trope with just an image, because the eyes don't stand out enough for me to notice Pinkie's blue eyes over everything else happening.
I like 4.2, but I'm also partial to 4.3 — the wide eyes, flowers, and The Cutie pose all help indicate "innocence".
