We have a separate anime-only thread, thus this is the "spoiler" thread.
I mean, I see why the anime went a lot more melancholic given what story arcs are to come. I think I would have dropped the anime altogether if it had the exact same tone as the manga, most of the humour did not land for me. I found the comedy aspects annoying and only stuck it out for what I'd been spoiled on.

Oissu!Chapter out. Not gonna lie, while the paneling is awesome, there's really nothing much going on.
I see what Fujimoto-sensei did with the title!!

I'm ashamed to admit that my immediate thought when I saw the stomach mouth on that devil was it saying "Get in mah belly!"
This chapter honestly felt like it would work better animated than in manga form, and that kind of ties into the whole "cinematic feel" Chainsaw Man has. Every motion is laid out in a combination of decompressed storytelling and sequential art, to the point that it feels like looking at reels of film strip. Each individual movement a character makes is shown, facial expressions look more "awkward" to replicate some of the bizarre expressions people can make when pausing mid-scene, plenty of panels without dialogue to set the mood and reflect the current atmosphere of the scene.
Hell, look back two chapters prior when Denji is carrying Asa. We're given a couple panels of Denji looking around before finding the door and going towards it at a light jog, surrounded entirely in darkness as tentacles start to creep up around him and blood starts spewing from cuts that suddenly appear, followed Denji's head getting lopped off, only for him to just grab it and put it back on, even getting a panel of him stretching his neck after reattaching his head. Every movement, every detail, it's all shown, and sets the mood of this being "ominous" and "danger filled", but that for someone like Denji, it's nothing that big a deal for him. Even when the Falling Devil confronts him as he tries to leave, Denji instead makes a comment about keeping Asa's ass for himself. While on it's own just a cheap joke, with the setting and general feeling of the scene, it's more akin to Casual Danger Dialogue from Denji, akin to a scene right before a big fight where some witty banter is exchanged.
Chainsaw Man's overall feel that Fujimoto is going for makes it akin to reading storyboard art rather than standard manga panels. Rather than just big action shots and minor movements with lines used to denote movement, each motion is individually drawn, each shot reflecting as such to the point you could make a flip book out of many of the panels. It's a series in manga form but designed to work more in animated form.

Amusingly if there was ever more proof that Denji is doing a decent job of raising Nayuta, this is it
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."...well that was pretty fun lmao.
A Devil-ruled world sounds like fun, but alas, it would also mean a world without pizza. Can't have that, can we?
I mean, couldn't they make some guy afraid of pizza, so a pizza devil spawns and work from there .
So Nayuta is fully aware who she really is and Famine actually wants to prevent the end of humanity since even devils cant resist the simple pleasures in life.
You know the implication of this is that Himeno puked in Denjis mouth due to Makima.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. And confirmation that Nayuta is much more in the know about things than Denji suspects. She probably knew from the start that "Asa" was Yoru and what was going on, and is keeping Denji clueless. You can take the "Makima" out of the Control Devil, but you can't take the Manipulative Bitch out of them.
Interesting that Fami is trying to recruit the other Horsemen to her cause, and yet we still have no indication as to the whereabouts of the fourth Horseman: Death. Wonder why that is. Though, considering Fami tried to "starve" Yoru to force her into working with her, it could be that Fami isn't having luck recruiting Death, and can't find a means to starve them.
So... Falling can just come and go to Hell as she pleases? That's honestly terrifying, especially since nothing Denji and Asa did could even put her down. This is nowhere near the end for Falling then, we'll probably be seeing her again later.
So Famine just grew some fondness of the human world sometime after fighting Pochita along with her siblings? Fighting Pochita before seems counterproductive to leaving the human world without too much devil dominance.
The Devil devil will be a Captain Ersatz of Amon fro Devilman
Watch SymphogearNaytua got her priorities straight it seems.
Wait This means Nayuta knew who Asa was when she first met her lmao
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah. Nayuta very likely pegged Asa / Yoru from the get go.
One Strip! One Strip!Wonder How Death Devil's powers work?
Hello worldSo was Fami controlling the Falling Devil using her powers or did Fami made a request for Falling to cook Asa and she was bowing because of her usual politeness?
All indications point towards the latter, hence Falling's distress over the devil vomiting them up. She was genuinely trying to make a meal using Asa as Fami requested, but failed. There's no indication Falling was "starving" after all, she's just dedicated to her craft of cooking.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches! There was that doll thing of Falling that Fami picked up, which isn't really explained as either Falling's or Fami's power.
I'm guessing a primordial devil like falling was manifesting through that doll. That's why cutting her up and then eating her didn't do anything — she was never actually there.
Previously, Fami was trying to break Asa, but the start of this arc implied the apocalypse wasn't something she wanted. So it makes sense that she was "training" Asa to stop the apocalypse.
Of course this is where Asa's character arc goes. Preserving her own life not enough to endure emotional suffering? Good news: now she's gonna get pushed onward by the weight of the goddamn world. I wonder if Fami got Yoshida in on it too; he seems like he'd be better at manipulating her.
Shifting gears for a bit, but quick question.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Anyone know if there is a Chainsaw Man Spoiler Forum Thread? If not, I'll make one, but if there is, anyone mind directing me to it?
