So it looks less like Death has a Touch of Death, and more like she drains the lifeforce like a mosquito does blood and uses it to repair herself. The fact she quickly said it would only take her "3 seconds" to kill Fakesaw Man too leads me to believe her getting dismembered this time was deliberate, as was her calling for help, and Fakesaw is gonna suffer for saying she's just weak.

Rodimus: Self-sacrifice, Magnus— It's cheap. It's a cheap way out. I need to live so I can make amends. It seems like Death only got back up the first time because there was a guy very close by, and she'll basically have to trick or distract Fakesaw to grab for the kill. Even needing hand-to-hand to use it is a big restriction, especially if she can't regenerate on her own.
I'm not gonna put to much thought into this being the Death Devil's "true power", especially when she showed up early. My leading idea is this is an avatar Fami had some angle summoning, but deliberately made pretty weak.
Holy shit, we've been bamboozled. I always thought Fami's ability to control devils by starving them overlapped with the control devil's power too much. Death is probably strong enough to command a primal devil through her status alone. She stole both Famine's name and motivation, as well as Control's gimmick.
Also, from her dialogue, guess my idea that Death wants to die might come true. And seeing how unkillable every other primal has been, probably through Pochita erasing her. Which means the true Famine probably wants to kill every one to prevent humanity becoming immortal and suffer endlessly.

That was unexpected, but I never know what to expect from this series anyway.
Still, we got played on that one. I'll admit it.
One Strip! One Strip! It was her all along???
No wonder her name was so blatantly obvious about her "true" identity, because it wasn't her true identity at all!
This explains why real Fami wants to save people through death, though - her familiarity with people comes from those who are actively suffering and starving.
"..."So what are the chances of the real Fami dying/sent to the shadow realm unceremoniously or her somehow escaping and having an Enemy Mine with Denji and Asa.
Also I got a feeling Death would pull a You Have Outlived Your Usefulness on Yoshida and Fumiko, unless of course the latter is in on it as well.
For the Imperium!!!My guess is that Death is ok with both the normal way devil dies, which was why she tried taking out her organs, and theough erasure by Chainsaw man. Since the first option failed, she will descend and force Chainsaw man to eat her to save humanity, and the age of devils will arrive due to her erasure since devils can just do whatever they want and can get fear from humanity endlessly.
This reveal resolves a good portion of confusing details in Part 2, though it doesn't alleviate a lot of my other problems. Regardless, I'm excited for what's to come, even given the likelihood this twist accelerates things too much to dwell on Asa and Denji together.

I guess the fact she can use it to revive makes her a little more distinct, but still kinda repetitive.
