In wiki size it's hard to see the quill and the ink, which makes it less obvious he's a writer.

I like it. I don't think it's necessary to show the skeleton's hand holding the spear when it's more important to show that the guy the spear is aimed at is a writer who's in the process of writing.
I prefer the zoomed out shot.
