MKX has the Xenomorph even though the very nature of its blood meant that it'd be a hard counter for any combatant. I'm sure the Terminator would get by just fine.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterAs much as people hate Genisys having T-1850 (or whatever the nickname is supposed to be ) would be pretty legit as far I'm concern. There's some cool moves to pull from.
Also having a terminator would be easy since he share the same movement of Terminator in fact.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"What do you think the significance behind changing the tag line is? For MKX, it was “Who’s Next?” For 11, it’s now “You’re Next.”
Ooh. I hadn't noticed that. That's... chilling. I've no idea.
Going off of current speculation, I'd :
- "Who's Next" was the premise of 9 and 10, like, "who will be killed next in this altered timeline, what will change next, who will the next major player be (Shao Kahn -> Shinnok)
- "You're Next" is the premise of 11, "it's not about how the timeline is changing, it's about how one timeline is bleeding into another. The old MK is calling out the new MK. You're Next. Why? Because this franchise is all about Let's You and Him Fight."
Maybe we're getting fewer newcomers in this installment and, instead, we'll be seeing alternate timeline variations of Scorpion. Scorpion, Scorpion X, Scorpion Gold, etc.
So it's less about "who's next" and more about "you're next."
Or maybe it has no meaning at all and they just felt like changing the tagline.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Character creator, probably.
That’s my thought. Not creator, necessarily, but maybe a high level of customization.
Also, clearly the people at Netherrealm are big wrestling fans. As if getting a custom title belt made for their live-streams wasn’t a giveaway.
Bill Goldberg and Hollywood Hulk Hogan as guest fighters.
EDIT: Also, a big part of X’s Promotion was the slow reveal of characters. With only three months between our first look at the game on January 17, and the game’s launch, maybe they’re going to go the Smash Bros. route, tell us everyone (or even just almost everyone) who’s in the game from the get go, and make the game’s main feature (in my theory, customization) the main selling point.

I think the Undertaker or Bray Wyatt works better.
It's been 3000 years…Yeah but “Who’s next?/You’re next” was Goldberg’s catchphrase.
Brother.
Netherrealm actually used the mobile MKX game as a basis for a WWE fighting game. Problem is the WWE is TV-PG so being associated with MK might be a no-go.
Other way around. MKX came out after WWE Immortals.
Also, Injustice Mobile was the basis for both.
It's rare nowadays to find fighting game developers that aren't wrestling fans to some degree. Look at Incineroar in Smash or all the NJPW tie ins in Tekken. King even has Okada's Rainmaker if you have the right gear on him.
Well, Incineroar was already a wrestler in his home series, but yes, point taken.
Mortal Kombat really doesn’t have a wrestler-type, do they. Like sure, they have grapplers, but off the top of my head I can’t think of a Zangief/King/Bane type that obviously and primarily uses wrestling moves.

Wouldn't Hsu Hao count? All of his fighting styles were grapple based.
I was hoping we could come up with an example that wasn’t the most-reviled character in the franchise.
But seriously, I was thinking more about the NRS-era games (9, X, soon-to-be 11).
We do not speak of Hsu Hao in this house.
It never ceases to amuse me how such an insignificant character got such a large Hatedom.
More instersing in how Drahmin and hsu hao(the two most hated chararter by the creator) were in fact the one who actually did a profund impact in MKDA while the fan favorite(Li mei and Kenshi) did nothing.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I mean, he’s a BAD character. It’s no surprise that he’s disliked by the fan base.
The memetic part of it comes from not even Ed Boon liking him, to the point that he considered leaving him out of Armageddon.
I think Drahnim was hated because he was ugly to look at.
Uni catI'm not saying he's a particularly good character but the hate he gets from the fanbase and even Boon himself feels disproportionate to how bad he actually is.

Drahmin was hated because is design and the style was wonky and dificult to put up, there is also the fact the flys were really hard to line up with the body.
Hsu hao for what I get was because the same: the fighting style is awfull and is desging was racist and bland.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"At some point it just becomes a meme to hate him.
Boon’s hate for him is just an artist’s disdain for an artistic creation that for whatever reason doesn’t work. He doesn’t fit in the world, or he went through too many changes from the original vision, or he’s a lazy design best left forgotten; whatever it is, it’s to the point where Boon dislikes him enough that he says in an interview later “If I could have left him out of Armageddon, I would have,” and the fans pick that up and run with it. “If the guy who CREATED him hates him that much, he MUST be bad!”
To be fair: IT IS that bland, is movement is very slow but he dosent pack damage like Hotaru did in MKD, is weapon are a joke and he look kinda like a yellow peril villian(he is mongolian agent), is easy to see why Boon would want him gone.
And the best way to do it was in the MKX comic...in the hand of scorpion no less....And Drahmin was the less to go actually, in the hand of Quan chi....
It seen apropiate in retrospect.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
That’s not THE Terminator, though.
