Johnny Cage's VA better be grateful for all of the focus Johnny gets now. He's the Robert Downey Jr of this franchise by now.

I'm pretty sure that would be Richard Epcar given how central Raiden has been to the later games

They fire voice actors every other game so all this attention doesn't mean shit for that actor.

They got rid of Patrick Seitz after playing Scorpion, the face of the franchise, for nearly a decade. Admittedly they got him back for that movie, but still.

I wish I could say if it was available on other versions. I don't know if there sales coordinate that way or not.

Also consider the shit Raiden go in MK 9 that carry on him afterward, is hard to said if a good thing.

Until he'll get replace eventually. Not even Epcar is reprising his role as Raiden in the upcoming animated movie.

Or Johnny. I think Seitz is the only returning actor.

Well technically speaking, Blum also reprising his role as Bi-Han from MK 11.

Ooh, that's something I've been hoping for. Windy if it's a separate thing or a continuation and whether it'll incorporate the non-Guest Figured DLC characters.

My own has been that, with Light Raiden now mortal, Dark Raiden can reappear as the "no two immortals at once" clause no longer applies.

Also, something I learned recently that may fall in the category of Late To The Party But Worth Mentioning Anyway: If you need to grind out any Character Tower requirements and can't rely on the AI for them (X Fatal Blows, Fatalities, etc) you can use the Klassic Towers. Last couple ones I did I just went to the Survival Tower, set it to Very Easy, and went to town. They're one round fights and with the AI set to very easy it's not hard to get else you need. The Eye of the Dragon King Konsumable helps with the Fatal Blows. Krushing Blows you may need to up the opponent AI if you need counters for them.

Looks like I'm getting some of what I wanted going by the appearance of Shang Tsung.

Is "Reveal" the name of the new story mode or is it just saying "we'll reveal it on 5/6?

The announcement is light on details, and I saw it on Instagram where there are even fewer.

If it’s set for a specific time, I would assume it’s a livestream of some sort. That would have to be advertised ahead of time.

They could easily hint at it and wait until june or july to spill the beans glances over to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I guess all those character dlcs (for the mortal kombat characters of course) was really in preparation for this, assuming that this story continuation was planned from the beginning.

If that's the case, then kudos to them for the cleverness.
