After many years in limbo, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance franchise is finally getting a new installment.
It'll be a Switch exclusive.

From the press release, the developer is Team Ninja. (Yes, the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden devs.) It'll also be published by Nintendo themselves.
An Eastern development team for this? Interesting.
Oh with X-Men even. Neat.
Can't say the same for the art though. It looks just barely better than MvCI.

MUA is one of the few Marvel stuffs that I like. So this is good news and ups my interest in Switch.
But I'm pretty sure that they'll leave out Spider Woman, one of my favorite Marvel figures and one of my mains in the original MUA.

Huh thought this was the Marvel Square Enix game for a sec.
Don’t know why the subtitle is Thanos’ Quirky Mini-Boss Squad but alright.
Funny enough, I got a relative who's currently re-experiencing the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
He doesn't have a Switch though. I do however.
Really hoping Logan isn't the only X-Men rep. This game seems like the MCU plus one Mutant right now.
Though there are other villains (even ones who haven't been in the MCU, even if all of them have been in movies in some way).
Just saw this on a website somewhere. I loved Alliances 1 and 2 to death so I'm pleased we're getting a continuation of this. Maybe even an X-Men Legends 2 on the horizon?
But I am not at all on the GOTG hype train. I guess the more the merrier considering what type of game this is, but if they were going for, "ha-hah, look, Thanos, Infinity Gauntlet, Guardians, Ultimate Fury, Captain Marvel, all of those things from the Marvel movies that you love!" it was lost on me.
Also, the thrill of beating someone like Thanos with a team like Rocket Raccoon/Reed Richards/Wolverine/Gamora is harder to achieve now that you can successfully defeat Galactus with Frank West, Phoenix Wright, and Sir Arthur.
Also-also I don't have a Switch and no current plans to purchase one fuuuuu-

What's really funny is that the Black Order have the most-comic accurate designs.
Proxima Midnight has her Hella look and hey Supergiant, the member who was left out of the movie is there.
This compared to Star Lord still having his face-covering mask and rogue look from the movies.
Is it just me or 'following the MCU' is getting like a Broken Base right now?
I wouldn't be so sure. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a few heroes from the Spider-Verse.
Is it me, or is Cree Summer voicing Midnight?
Doubtful, especially not soon after this.
But other people are. No offense, but these games aren't made exclusively for you.
They're made for all Marvel fans, so there will be something for everyone.
Yeah, they're going to have the Sentinels and just one X-Men.
Dude, come on. We haven't seen all the characters yet and it looks like Sentinels are attacking the X-Mansion.

I mean Jessica Drew, not Spider-Gwen. While she appears in the comic Spider Verse, she definitely did not in the movie one.
Also, any confirmation of Deadpool? Somewhere else I saw a screenshot of a red ninja stuff... I think it's Deadpool?

Switch exclusive? Boooo...
I always like the MUA series. Hell, I've said that it would be ideal for a lot of series tie-ins (A My Hero Academia game done ala the Ultimate Alliance series would be way better than the lame spectacle fighters they've made). But...can't play it. Not for $300 for a Switch.
Deadpool and his shenanigans are such a mainstay to this series that it'd be a crime not to include him, especially now that he's becoming that much more popular to non-comics audiences. Hell, this series was my - and I suspect a lot of people's - introduction to the character.
It's be like, I dunno, doing Marvel Vs Capcom without Wolverine.

This is was out of left field announcement
Goddamn purple death robots.
It's been that way for years. Ask X-Men fans.
Hold on? What?
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 announced as a switch exclusive developed by Team Ninja?
Next you'll be telling me the next Smash character reveal is gonna be a Persona Protagonist.
I'm really hype but I hope this is just the tip of the iceberg on the character roster. I didn't see Captain Marvel there and that makes me anxious.
Fun Fact: Samus Aran was originally going to be a playable character in the original Ultimate Alliance. Think she'll be making a long-belated debut?

The fact that they neglected to include someone as prominent as Black Panther tells me yes, there will be a much larger cast in the actual game than just what was shown in the trailer.
Wolverine's presence alone indicates we're gonna have some more X-Men in the game.
Did you say that AFTER hearing the news already?
The least they can do if they add Wolvie in is to call in Steve Blum and tell him to do him like usual.

I know what you said and the answer remains the same. Jessica is considered part of the Spider-Verse.
And Wolverine is voiced by Blum.
You mean, Jessica did appear in the Spider Verse movie?
Trailer here and we actually see more than Thanos. We do confirm that Ultron, Kingpin, Dr. Doom and Green Goblin will be present.
x5: Please tell me you didn't see the Smash news.
He's referring to Spider-Verse as in the Spider-Man stable of characters.
I love how Wolverine is on the thumbnail. Marvel/Nintendo are taking no chances
