- Name: Yuliana Sevchenko
- Age: 25, subjectively, relativistically 75.
- Description: FUCK TREES
. Yuliana doesn't really have a flightsuit or anything, she just pilots Vlad in whatever she's got on. She's fairly short at 4'11.
- Home Location: Garden III, destroyed now
- Reason for coming to Europa: Yuliana needs to be ready for the next set of monstrosities coming for earth; she doesn't want what happened to her to happen to anyone else.
- Major Studies: Maintenance, Construction, and combat.
- Goals: Crush the xenos. See them driven before her. Hear the lamentation of their domestic partners.
- Backstory: Yuliana's family are a company of colonial expansion and logging workers that got caught in the war when she was very young. She remembers walking out the mech that would become Vlad in the lumberyards with her dad, before the sky went dark from the shadow cast by a cruiser pulling into low orbit. They were some of the first victims in the war, and it was scarring to her. They fled in a ship fired on primitive near-lightspeed while their home's meager defenses crumbled. She did this dozens of times, and in doing so desynched herself with practically everyone who wasn't doing the same thing. They grew up on the run, and Yuliana got to see the horror of the war firsthand. All that terror galvanized her; she missed out of the war through relativistic lightspeed travel, but she knew she had to be ready for the next one. Her family were construction workers though; they didn't have the hardware to support such a dream. Counterpoint though: fuck that. Yuliana retrofitted one of their old clunkers and took a shuttle to Europa to get her shit in gear and be ready for the next raft of xenos that needs a purge.
- Mecha Name: Horizon Construction Walker no. VL-4D - "Vlad"
- Description: Bulky and shitty and clumsy and old, absurdly robust and durable for its twenty foot height. It has big thick limbs and a body to match, with four arms with rounded joints like wheels. The head points up with a central prow and one squinting eye on one side, almost like the front of a boat. Painted a vibrant floral green, but faded to an olive drab, with white detailing lines at the joints. Wears a green and white plaid neckerchief.
- How did you acquire this Mech?: It's a heavily customized heirloom from her family.
- Strengths/Weaknesses: Vlad is not only durable but generic. Its basic chassis is the number one construction rig in the galaxy and as a result it can push itself significantly harder than any other mech out there. Once a part inevitably breaks down, a two-minute trip to the resupply truck can replace whatever just broke down. This also however means that Vlad's a perpetually low-end model and an antique; it has to rely on overclocking and grievous personal injury in order to keep pace with modern machines.
- Specialized Weaponry:
- Colonial Boltgun: A pneumatically-fired industrial nailgun fed through a tank mounted on Vlad's back. Yuliana stripped the safety off it years ago, and with her current licenses she can now load it with those good uranium-jacketed bolts you kill real kaiju with.
- Logistics: Yuliana rents remotely piloted trucks and transport shuttles with the same budget students use to get bullets and repairs in order to always have spare parts on hand on the battlefield.
- Daisycutters: Again refitted from old colonial construction tech, Vlad can fire blasts of shrapnel in all from a waist-mounted ring around its waist. Originally meant for clear-cutting work, the payload has been changed to real vicious shrapnel.
- Chainsaw: Almost as long as Vlad is tall with foot-long teeth, the Chainsaw requires a secondary powerpack be mounted on Vlad's back if Yuliana aims to take it out at all, but it's been known to absolutely obliterate anything it touches.

I respect that Conan joke.
- Name: Daniel "Danny" Higashikata
- Age: 26
- Description: Who's Kusanagi?
◊ When in the mech, Danny wears a standard issue flightsuit, colored blue with pink highlights. He's all of 5'9 and rocking it.
- Home Location: Saitama-Shi, Japan
- Reason for coming to Europa: His interests in tinkering with giant robots and kicking oppressive ass just kind of led him down this path, to be perfectly honest.
- Major Studies: Tinkering and Combat.
- Goals: To further his knowledge of his tinkering interest. Not only that, but he wants to make sure there's not a repeat of what happened the first time.
- Backstory:
- Danny is the son of Irish and Japanese immigrants who originally met in their few years in the great country of the USA. They immediately hit it off, and some 2 years later, Danny was born.
- When Danny was 9, they moved to Japan, where, as with every alien and monster animu, they were hit. Danny's mother died in the initial attack, but the military managed to drive them back, and they only returned in smaller numbers beyond that.
- Danny and his father were obviously shook, but he learned an important lesson from his father; "Take your rage and turn it into resolve. Turn your sadness and turn it into excitement. Take your negative emotions and use them to focus. And always remember there is a better day ahead."
- Danny and his father began training at the same time; but where his father trained in weapon use to fly a mecha in case of the next war, Danny trained in MMA and other close combat styles. While he's screwed around with bats and kendo sticks, he's never held a sword or a gun.
- Danny's father, in order to gain funds to construct a mecha, did some shady dealing with some less-than stellar people, and got the parts and funds to create his mech, letting Danny help. It became an instant hobby for Danny, and he learned all of the basic concepts of building and tinkering in a week.
- However, when the mech was completed, it was revealed that Danny's father had missed a payment, and was a month overdue; He went to a meeting and paid with his life. Danny was now orphaned, in the semi-large house and with an almost-complete mecha.
- He wanted to go and murder the people who killed his father, but he remembered his father's words, and instead got to entirely repurposing the mech to fit his fighting style.
- Once he was finished, he sold the house, got a whole lot of money for it, and took some essential stuff (including a gaming system, of course) and went to Europa.
- Mecha Name: Custom Mecha No. CR4ZD - "Crazy D"
- Description:
- About 2.5 stories tall and impeccably strong, Crazy D is a thin-yet-buff mech, outfitted with weapons and equipment suited for closing the gap and beating the hell outta someone with your fists. It's painted silver and a vibrant hot pink, originally a drab green that fades in in places. It's head is relatively square, but still rounded towards the bottom, and it is relatively humanoid, save for the semi-box head and wide feet hiding thrusters and wheels.
- How did you acquire this Mech?: Made with less-than legal parts by Danny, his father, and usually a few buddies.
- Strengths/Weaknesses:
- Strengths: Crazy D is a powerhouse, and a close combat GOD. It is designed to go really fast and hit really hard. It is one of Europa's physically strongest mechs, and a pretty fast one too. It has neat little blades in the knuckles and thrusters to get in. The only projectiles it has are two missile launchers on either shoulder, fired separately from each other.
- Weaknesses: However, the greatest strength is also the greatest weakness. Crazy D hates heavy projectile pressure, and due to not being able to just fire guns or swing swords, it requires some skill to operate. It's also a tad clunky upon first use, and Pure Download requires a desync, which is usually great bodily harm or mental breakdown.
- Specialized Weaponry: Yeah, this part gonna be filled, 'cuz it's only specialized weaponry...
- Knuckledaggers: Instead of swords, Crazy D pierces armor and flesh using (relatively) small blades of energy that extend from the knuckles. They can pierce nicely, but their small size makes it hard to cut a whole lot at once.
- Boost Thrusters: At the feet and back, there are thrusters that allow Crazy D to go faster than normal mechas.
- Rocket Silos: On the shoulders, there are two sets of 25 mini rockets, both shoulders able to fire autonomously from one another.
- Pure Download: Crazy D, due to it being so reliant on the skill of the user, is actually a mech controlled by the body and mind of the user, like Jaegers or EVAs. But what happens if the user's mind desyncs enough to lose control? Crazy D goes into Pure Download, where it analyzes the fighting style of the user and it's general specs, and fights for the user, not exiting the fight unless necessary. While the mech is perfect at the techniques that the user might not be perfect at, it is also easier to read and counter due to being automated.

"DIO is the ultimate being! The being of the future! Dare you not to rival me!"- Name: Samantha "Sammy" Wilde
- Age: 16
- Description: A short, svelte girl with long green hair and a maniacal grin all but plastered on. Her flight suit is lime green and skintight.
- Home Location: New Chicago
- Reason for coming to Europa: To learn how to be even more of a badass than she already (thinks she) is.
- Major Studies: Combat, Combat, and SCIENCE!
- Goals: To be the most awesome badass in history. Or a mad scientist. Preferably both at once.
- Backstory: Sammy is the daughter of the genius mecha scientist Dr. Julius Wilde, famous throughout a large part of the world as one of the war's greatest innovators. Her family's fame easily inflated her ego to monumental proportions. It was due to this ego and a general disregard for rules that Sammy snuck into the test lab for her father's newest prototype for during its first test, and ended up bonded to it instead of its intended pilot. With his untrained daughter the only one able to pilot his newest invention, Dr. Wilde had no choice but to reluctantly send her off to Europa.
- Mecha Name: Wilde Innovations Prototype L-9698 "Flow" Unit
- Description: The Flow Unit is 25 feet of shapeshifting liquid metal, which gleams silver in coloration. As a cockpit is impractical in a mech without defined shape, the Flow Unit uses top-secret technology to fuse with its pilot, allowing direct neural control. A drawback of this is that the mech calibrates to the brain of the first person to pilot it, and will thereafter only respond to their commands. (Wilde Innovations means to remove this bug before bringing the Flow Unit to market).
- How did you acquire this Mech?: Sammy is the accidental test subject for the Flow Unit, having supplanted the intended pilot in the initial testing stage.
- Strengths/Weaknesses: The Flow Unit's shapeshifting ability gives it an adaptable and limitless arsenal of close-combat weaponry. However, it is incapable of forming the complex mechanisms necessary for ranged weaponry. Its liquid form allows it to absorb most physical attacks, but it is limited by its need to protect the pilot encapsulated at its core.
- Specialized Weaponry: The Flow Unit bears no weaponry beyond its shapeshifting limbs.
Name: Noel Hase
Age: 16
Description: She is average height with shoulder length reddish brown hair and has green eyes. She is almost never seen without her beanie or headphones except in her mecha. Casual clothes are a pink graphic tee, a hoodie, denim skirt, black leggings and pink sneakers. Her mecha suit is a skin tight hot pink one piece with a heart insignia.
Home Location: New York City
Reason For Coming To Europa: She wants to learn to use her mecha.
Major Studies: Combat, Tinkering and Piloting
Goal: To find and rescue her brother.
Backstory: Noel Hase was born late in December. She was the second child of the Hase family after her older brother Klaus. When she was three and her brother was six, her parents were killed in a car accident. Her and her brother were sent to live with their aunt Marley. Over the years, Noel and Klaus showed a high aptitude for mechanics and were considered prodigies. Noel was also very close to her brother and he would always be there to support her, even when she got herself into trouble. Klaus eventually became a graduate of Europa and in control of his own Mecha, AOS-13. He eventually became an official protector of New York. He promised he had a big surprise for Noel. However, one day there was a dangerous unknown attack nearby. Klaus went off to fight it. However, he never returned. None of those who went to fight did not come back and no trace was left. Noel was left devastated and fell into a perpetual state of grief. She held onto the hope he was captured and not dead but, the hope kept fading and fading. One day, she checked her brother's tinkering shed. As she dug through his stuff, she saw something big covered in a cloth. When she took off the cloth, she saw a giant mecha similar to AOS-13. It turned on upon seeing her, grabbed her and put her in her chest. Noel was at first scared but, realized this was the surprise her brother promised her. The chest was the cockpit. Noel tried to use the mecha but, had a hard time using it. She decided to enroll in Europa like her brother. With this mecha, she has hope again she can find her brother.
Mecha Name: Heart Drive AOS-14
How Did You Acquire This Mech?: It was a gift from her brother.
Description: It is the size of a bigger than average house. It looks like a woman with a metal skirt and a metal ponytail with strips of metal that look like bunny ears. The “hair” and “clothes” are pink and the body gunmetal gray. The chest is where the cockpit is. When in the cockpit, Noel is connected to it like a human heart.
Strength and Weaknesses: It's biggest strength is it's mobility. It is light and can move quite fast. It's biggest flaw is that it can't take to much damage and is fragile compared to other mech.
Specialized Weaponry:
Spear/Bow: Heart Drive has a sword that can turn into a bow and vice versa. As a spear, it works for up close combat. It can be bent into a bow. The mech can produce arrows for the bow.
Feet Jet Boosters: The bottom of the Mech's feet has boosters that can make it go faster forwards and backwards.
Just an adorable fan girl and cosplayer ヾ(*・ω・)ノ💝💟- Name: Sumire (pron. Su-mi-ray) Amalia Grace Rosenkov-Wissenstern
- Age: 19
- Description: A very tall and svelte woman, at 6'1, sharp-faced with bright blue hair and grey eyes. She usually wears dresses, and her flightsuit is a custom one provided by her parents, in the blue black and white of Rosenkov Engineering Solutions.
- Home Location: Providence, Mars
- Reason for coming to Europa: Part training, part product placement.
- Major Studies: Combat, Engineering, nominally Business
- Goals: Get as far, far away from her parents, high society, and corporate life as she possibly can.
- Backstory: Born the daughter of Heinrich Rosenkov, CEO and grandson of the founder of Rosenkov Engineering Solutions, a tech firm that profited immensely off the war, going from a small manufacturing company virtually unheard of off Mars to one of the largest producers of mechs in known space. Groomed to be the next heir, Sumire... has other plans. Namely, pretty much anything but that. So, when her parents told her to apply to Europa, she jumped at the chance, and plans to graduate and then decidedly not go back home.
- Mecha Name: Rosenkov Engineering Solutions R-71M3 Gotterdammerung (custom build) - "Seraph"
- Description: An R-71M3 stands roughly 40' tall, and various command and control devices put the actual height of Seraph at roughly 46'. Seraph is a very... bulky mech, between the armor plating, magazine feeds, extra plating for the magazine feeds, and the massive guns. While the mech has numerous nonstandard parts, every Rosenkov mech from a line that was produced during the war has a full set of schematics and blueprints available free of charge from Rosenkov for ease of manufacturing replacement parts and field repairs.
- How did you acquire this Mech?: A graduation gift from her parents.
- Strengths/Weaknesses:
- Strengths: Seraph carries... a lot of firepower. Both arms are replaced by large guns, and both shoulders mount guns of a size generally seen on stationary artillery platforms. It is also very heavily armored, capable of withstanding shots that could cripple a lightly armored mech. It also carries a couple small laser weapons, an honestly rather pitiful nod to close-in defense.
- Weaknesses: the R-71M3 is, to put it kindly, slow as shit. Designed to work from behind a screen of more nimble mechs, it doesn't go places quickly and is weak in close combat, due both to a lack of speed and a lack of weaponry.
- Specialized Weaponry:
- C&C Array: Seraph is modified for increased command and control capabilities, a fairly common Gotterdammerung modification, giving increased sensor range and improved targeting capabilities, as well as limited ECM/ECCM suites.
- Mjolnir Cannons: Two massive artillery guns. Large enough that they cannot be fired without bracing the mech unless you want to knock the thing on it's ass. Whilst normally loaded with standard high explosive shells, it can be loaded with a variety of other, more creative ways to kill people.
- Gungnir Cannons: Two pairs of railguns replacing the mech's arms, used when direct-fire weapons are necessary, movement is necessary, or the bigger guns are just impractical. In combination with Seraph's C&C array, they're capable of tracking aerial targets with a fair amount of precision, and come with airburst rounds that can be alternately loaded.
In retrospect, I've reinvented SC 2's Thor.

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.- Name: Wilhelm "Will" Fleming
- Age: 23
- Description: Will is of average build and has short red hair and blue eyes, standing at 6'0". He wears a pilot suit that's white with a golden trim. Outside of piloting, he wears a casual version of a Terran Defense Army uniform.
- Home Location: New Reading, Luna II.
- Reason for coming to Europa: His father attended this school, so he was placed there to follow in his footsteps.
- Major Studies: Combat, Engineering, Military History.
- Goals: To prove himself to be more than a prodigal grandson of a war hero.
- Backstory:
- - Will was born to the wealthy Fleming family, who became prominent after George Fleming, his grandfather, became a war hero during the First Contact war. His father was enlisted in the Terran Defense Army when Will was born, so he eventually was placed to follow in his footsteps, while his older brother, Graham, has taken a significant career in managing operations within Fleming Electronics, a prominent arms developer founded by James Fleming after the war ended.
- Not long after he enlisted, Will heard of a prototype mech before he was selected to go to the Academy. He asked his brother if he could help in this project, so Graham pulled some strings to allow him to attend the academy with the prototype on the basis that he sends regular reports back to R&D.
- Mecha Name: Fleming Electronics Experimental Combat Unit FX-09/U9-C7N "Unicorn."
- How Did You Acquire this Mech?: Got it by volunteering to field test it.
- Description: A white single-horned mech standing at 18 meters tall, the Unicorn resembles a horned robotic white knight with its shoulder pauldrons and armoured appearance, while having a gunmetal blue backpack. There is a hidden glowing red frame underneath the white armour that activates when it enters "Destroyer Mode."
- Strengths/Weaknesses: The Unicorn is built as a capable all-rounder that can be competent in anything that it can be given role-wise. However, this means it can not specialise in a particular field of expertise at any given time, and the Destroyer Mode has a failsafe timer for five minutes, as remaining in that mode for longer than that may result in injury for its pilot.
- Specialised Weapons: As the Unicorn is an advanced prototype, and is designed to be a multi-purpose unit, it has a few options in combat.
- "Javelin" High-Output Heavy Beam Rifle/Beam Magnum: A modified rifle designed similarly to a bolt-action rifle because of the power of the weapon, the Javelin fires heavy beam blasts that empty traditional energy packs. As such, it carries additional specialised magazines on its skirt armour in the event that the first magnum magazine has been emptied.
- "Stormbringer'' Composite Gatling Gun Shield: The Stormbringer shield is made out of the same material as the Unicorn's armour as well as equipped with a deflection array meant to deflect beam blasts aimed at it. Two beam rotary cannons are attached underneath it, giving the Unicorn a decent assault weapon to compliment it's Javelin rifle.
- "Hammerhead" Extendable Super Bazooka: A magazine-fed rocket launcher that fires high-explosive rockets intended to serve as an alternate main weapon to the Javelin. It is typically wielded over the shoulder, and the barrel extends when the weapon needs to be readied.
- "Blitzstrahl" Beam Sabres: Four rectangular grips that emit laser beam blades shaped in a magnetic field serve as the CQC weapon of the Unicorn. Two are stored on the guantlets, while the other two are stored in the backpack that are only accessible in Destroyer Mode.
- NI-CI "Nicky" Neural Interface Combat Improvement System: An experimental system designed to link to the pilot's brainwaves and give the pilot more fluid control of the mech, this system requires the Unicorn to expand its body, and reveal the inner red frame to be fully utilised, which is appropriately called Destroyer Mode. However, this system puts an incredible amount of strain on the pilot, so a failsafe timer to stop the NI-CI system operating after five minutes has been implemented.
Yes, I know, it's basically the Unicorn Gundam, but can you blame me?
"We all fail. We all make mistakes. That is what makes us human."- Name: Sev Vokolov
- Age: 24
- Description: About 5'11" in height
◊
- Home Location: Moscow Russia
- Reason for coming to Europa: The study of other Mech systems
- Major Studies: Engineering, Theoretical concepts, piloting
- Goals: To just enjoy himself with a customized unit and to pass the time with a quiet lifestyle.
- Backstory: Sev's family grew up in Russia and had a long history of service with the Russian Army, his ancestor Dimitri Vokolov even served in the Red Army during WW 2, as such Sev felt compelled to serve as well, though in a way different from the last time, he was given a Chimera Mech unit to operate with a newly reformed Department Zero who had been looking into Xenos Tech and new concepts. Sev joined the department to test their new technology and see if he had any ESP abilities, he didn't but he gladly continued to work with them as a way to get a cool giant robot and kill time. He also picked up a tendency to speak in deliberately broken english to throw off his non russian allies. Hedonistic through and through.
- Mecha Name: Chimera Horizon, or just Horizon
- Description: A 3 story tall Mech developed based on theoretical concepts, it boasts a predominantly bone white colour scheme with a dark blue chest section and forearms, the head is a single horned unit with glowing green eyes and cameras, the backpack section connects to a binder unit which houses wing like attack drones, the interior is a panoramic cockpit design meant to be used.
- How did you acquire this Mech?: Developmental project by a revived Department Zero into granting humans ESP like abilities, no successes so far. Sev was chosen to pilot and has since modified it.
- Strengths/Weaknesses:
- All Rounder - The Horizon was developed to be a testbed of new technologies and use them all effectively, but not to the levels of mastery, this is it's greatest strength and weakness. It can do everything it needs to but nowhere near to the level of more specialized suits, this is related to it's weapons loadout, a simple beam rifle that can be used at nearly any range but not to the same effect as a more dedicated weapon, vulcans to defend against incoming attacks, and a simple shield meant to block all types of blows but not effectively, the Drone binder was in fact added on by Sev as a way to develop a more effective means of attack
- Specialized Weaponry:
- Drone Binder - as with everything about Horizon's design, this was added on deliberately, the Drones were part of a earlier build to see if they could be controlled via ESP but as Sev had none they were removed, he found a workaround via non invasive brainwave readers and dumb AI systems, the Funnels are automatic beam weapons that act in the interest of the pilot, they have a limited effective range away from the suit and run purely on auto so unless the pilot deems a target a active threat they will not respond.
Hope this works.
One day I'll redraw this picture to better represent what this looks like. But not today.

Name: Leonardo Del Cid
Age: 19
Description: [[Hello, my friend i.pinimg.com/originals/ce/ab/e1/ceabe1bb4a2837742ed0a558ccc27602.jpg]]
Home Location: Barcelona, Spain
Reason for coming to Europa: Because it can help him become the best he can be. And according to his dad, teach him restraint.
Major Studies: Combat and Engineering
Goals: His main goal is to be capable to fight off any threat that come.
Backstory: Leonardo's the youngest son of his family, the scientist couple of Rodrigo and Sol Del Cid. Growing up, he was always more interested on doing his things rather than responding to his family's attempts to foster an interest in technology on him. But he did have his interests in piloting and a desire for adventure. One day, while visiting his parents at work, he found the blueprints of a mecha. Fascinated by them, he planned on becoming a pilot in the future, but at some point, an attack to the labs caused him to sneak into a restricted area and using the unrevealed prototype to protect everyone.
Mecha Name: Model HLY-273, "Meteoro Azul"
Description: A deep blue machine about three stories tall, with a glowing blue eye on the head, which resembles a knight's helmet, with human proportions, with wings resembling those of an angel and thrusters, with the torso hiding a cannon.
How did you acquire this Mech?: He hijacked it, basically. His parents came up with the propulsion system and the Zero Cannon's mechanism. They want to keep him from being a complete maniac with it.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Its best advantages are an amazing speed and maneuverability, and the fact that its weapons pack a serious punch, in both close and mid range, making it a danger in combat if it's got the offensive. But that comes with the downside of being frail, and if it can be kept in one place, it's an easy target.
Specialized Weaponry:
- Dual Mode Laser Guns, "Torrente": A laser gun modes, between the quick fire "Cluster Mode" and the "Impact Mode", which exchanges that for a more concentrated shot for extra power.
- Twin Variable Length Laser Blades, "Colmillos": Made to be wielded in pairs, and can go from dagger like to twice their size.
- Razor Wings: In order to reach its higher speeds, the wings have to be made as thin as possible, making them able to slice on contact.
- Shock Mace: As it says, it releases strong electric shocks on impact.
- Zero Cannon: Hidden by the chest of the machine, a beam made to freeze the target.

Wake me up at your own risk.- Name: Zander "Zan" Swale
- Age: 18
- Description: "I'm the fastest flyer around."
◊ He's around 5'6''
- Home Location: Hemera, near Saturn
- Reason for coming to Europa: To learn how to pilot and test the Silver Bullet in a controlled environment
- Major Studies: Combat and Piloting
- Goals: Join the space colonist military to protect colonies from threats such as pirates and hostile aliens.
- Backstory: Born on Hemera District C, a small, research-focused space colony near Saturn, Zander is the son of Admiral Benjamin Swale, commander of Earth' s Cardinal Armada. Given that position, Zander has spent most of his life with his mother and older brother whole the Admiral attends to his duties. From a young age, Zander had a fascination with things that went fast, like cars and spaceships. He would often help out at the local garage over his school vacation, learning how things such as engines worked. As soon as he could drive, he got his own car, souped it up and took part in racing both legal and slightly less-than-legal, making him something of a local name on the scene.
- However, Hemera is often the target for pirates seeing as its in the outer verges of the solar system, a facet many of the inhabitants are used to. A few close calls on some occasions caused Zander to have an epiphany. With something of a good word that came from his last name, he contacted the local colonialist militia and asked about joining. Pulling a few strings, mostly from his last name, he inquired about joining the mechanized division. Having the reputation he did, he was tested for his aptitude of the experimental new testbed unit Silver Bullet and its experimental Silverline Reactor, his experience with the high Gs of aerial racing proving very beneficial to withstanding the pressure of the high movement speeds of the mech. Now, all he needed was to learn how to pilot the damn thing.
- Mecha Name: VSA-T-X100 "Silver Bullet"
- Description: The base unit is a bit on the slender and smaller side
◊. The Assault Frame turns it into a heavy armoured charged, the Duelist adds a lot more thrusters and aerial counterbalances and the Martial Frame looks sturdier and more armored.
- How did you acquire this Mech?: Was assigned as the official test pilot after he was noted to be capable of handling its speed.
- Strengths/Weaknesses: The base unit has three frames, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. By itself, the base is pretty lackluster and more like a standard military mech barring the improved reactor output.
- The VSF-X110 "Chariot" is the Assault Frame. Heavily armoured, amazing charge speed and ramming power, but by far the least nimble frame.
- The VSF-X120 "Stiletto" is the Duelist Frame. The most agile and quickest frame in the air, but also the least armoured of the 3 frames
- The VSF-X130 "Cestus" is the Martial Frame. There is no better frame for combat relying on ground-based melee on account of its motion capture control. However, it cannot fly at all and has no ranged weaponry by default.
- Specialized Weaponry: Where to start...the Silver Bullet is a testbed for some new tech.
- Silverline Reactor: An experimental new reactor with amazing output, especially for thrusters. Named as such because of high output levels of energy being silver in colour.
- Assault Frame's VSF-X111 "Omni Lance": The equivalent of a tank cannon with an impact stake with a chopping edge attached underneath the barrel to turn it into an impact stake halberd on a heavy cannon shaft.
- Assault Frame's VSF-X112 "Aegis": A giant tower shield that can withstand devastating impacts. Really good for ramming.
- Duelist Frame's 2x VSF-X121 "Omni Blade": A pair of retractable energy blades with energy pistols built in. Has rapid-fire, semi-auto and beam modes.
- Duelist Frame's VSF-X122 "Targe": A buckler attached to the arm of the Duelist to keep its hand free. Has a retractable spike in the center for ramming/bashing
- Martial Frame's Reinforced Limbs: The Martial Frame is especially powerful with unarmed attacks, and can be charged with energy from the reactor.
- Martial Frame's VSF-X131 "Exoburst Discharger": The Martial Frame can direct the energy from its reactor into an outwards explosion around itself. Very taxing on the energy reserves.

Nah, everything you need is right here. T Hough, the class is in orientation right now, so once you get accepted we'll worry about that later.
- Name: Joshua Lian
- Age: 23
- Description: The glasses don't actually do anything. He just feels he looks drab without them.
- Home Location: Southern California
- Reason for coming to Europa: Mecha pilot opens up so many career options
- Major Studies: Piloting, Combat, History
- Goals: Get all he can from the school and apply his robot skills to some lucrative career.
- Backstory: The war came to young Joshua unexpectedly during an attack off the North American west coast. While the military frantically tried to hold off the invaders, the Lian family was among the hundreds of thousands who fled inland while the coastal cities became warzones. Well, most of the family. Joshua's military mother stayed behind to keep the invaders from reaching the refugees, and he didn't see her again until the war was over. When she did return however, she was bringing along a giant robot. A pilot for one of the earlier mecha models deployed during the war, his mom was allowed to take the robot with her after the model was phased out of service, which was the most awesome thing ever to Joshua. Returning and rebuilding their home after the war, Joshua spent a lot of time with the mecha and his mother gave him her blessings to take the old thing and learn how to use it properly at Europa.
- Mecha Name: Something something something... he forgot the actual model name, but the family calls it the "Dolphin."
- Description: A bipedal humanoid robot about 30 ft tall with wings. The primary purpose of the Dolphin was for scouting and skirmishing and this is reflected in its light build and extra sensory arrays. While not as sleek as newer mechas, it does have a more rounded frame than most combat-dedicated machines, and handles very smoothly for its age. The Dolphin is painted blue and gray, which might not serve any practical purpose, but Joshua's never tested that. He just thought it looked cool.
- How did you acquire this Mech?: Post-war surplus his mom gave him.
- Strengths/Weaknesses:
- Stengths: Fast and maneuverable. This flying mecha can spot the enemy long before they even notice he's in the area with its enhanced sensory gear. Be they in the air, under water, underground, the Dolphin will see or hear them.
- Weaknesses: Defenses of a rubber chicken. The Dolphin was not meant for a stand up fight. Outside of a surprise attack or lucky pot shot, the Dolphin won't be winning great victories on its own.
- Specialized Weaponry:
- Beam Sniper Rifle
- Head-mounted machine guns
- Jamming devices
- Flash grenades.

Humans are ambitious. We have the strength to reach higher and higher than we ever have any right to. We saw the sky, and wanted past the sky. We saw the moon, and wanted past the moon.
But if there's one thing humanity was flawed in, it's knowing when to stop.
We kept pushing harder and harder. We wanted to see more and more, and we ended up knowing more than we ever had a right to. Because when we were looking up at the stars, well, the stars started looking back at us.
Apparently, this race of Aliens, this hideous, eldritch set of monsters saw us as a threat, and like anyone with a functioning brain, wanted to erase the threat.
It's kind of funny. Kind of like that old movie Pacific Rim, they made the joke about looking up at the sky and not expecting the monsters coming from below. Well, we still expected the monsters from above, and there wasn't anyway we could stop them.
You know, though, it's funny. It ended up being a lot like that in the end. Humanity, when overcome with opposition, can all band together and hate the thing that hates us more. So, long story short, by pooling our resources together, we started working on...well, our way of saving our asses.
No one really had any agreements on what to call them. Jaegers for the die hard fans, and Gundams for the anime nerds, in addition to Gurran's and what not but I won't get into that. The common name is Mechas, but everyone's got a preference, no matter how stupid.
It was a long drawn out battle, but we beat them back eventually. It was straight out of a Sci-Fi story, the underdog team banding together and kicking the galactic overlords asses. It was something to write home about.
So, after that was done, Humanity came to one conclusion: They were just one race of aliens out there that looked at us as a threat, and while we couldn't blame them, we needed to be prepared. In case, in the future, crazy wild shit didn't happen again, while we were unprepared.
So, as stupid as it may sound, we started opening up schools for this stuff. Yeah, that's right. It looks like the economy is centered around Mecha for the time being, and you either drove one, you fixed one, you built one, or anything in between. And no where was more prevalent than the Europa Mecha Academy.
No, it's not actually on the moon of Jupiter, its named after the Headmasters Mecha, Europa MK 2. He was the guy who dropped the final blow on the aliens.
When you go to Europa, you learn from the best. You learn everything you need to know about fighting, about battling and fixing and tinkering. And would you look at that, you just got accepted in.
It's not easy being a Mecha...well, anything. You gotta fight real nightmares. Get things ready for when they go bad. But you're a hero. And a hero never stops until everything is safe, right?
That's what I thought. Welcome to Europa Kid.
...
My Mecha Academy is a (light) Spin-off of My Superhero Academy, wherein a school is established for fantastical reasons, and this time, it's about Mechas.
Everyone who comes here, inadvertantly, has their own mecha of some variety. Maybe you built it. maybe you found it. Maybe it's a hand-me-down from your parent or sibling. Either way, you need to learn how to use it, and Europa is the best place to do it.
Think you have what it takes to be an Ace Pilot?
